Prompt I will never do anything with: instead of being given to the Dursleys, Harry Potter is put up for adoption and is adopted by the Addams Family

There’s something so gentle and humble in the way Henry Cavill portrays Sherlock that had me in awe. Differently from other adaptations of his character, in Enola Holmes Sherlock is quiet. He’s smart, but he keeps it to himself. He may be partially disconnected from society, but he doesn’t have difficulties in interacting with strangers. He has a very unique way of seeing things and the world he lives in, but he’s humble and minds his own business. He has trouble in communicating with Enola not because of her, but because he cares about her and that surprises him. She had never really interested him (mainly because of their age gap) but when he meets her again, for some unknown reason, he finds himself wanting to help her and maybe even protect her. He worries about her and trusts her mind. Even in such a short amount of time, he’s intrigued by Enola... most likely because she and her uniqueness remind him of himself. He does not only start caring about her, but he expresses his desire to educate her and raise her after reuniting with her at the end of the movie. In conclusion, in this adaptation Sherlock is still resembling the original character: slightly cold, not afraid to state the truth, smart and disconnected from the world. But the way Henry lets small ounces of warm, gentle humanity show through his portrayal was a great addition to the character, especially in this context. I can’t wait to see if there will be a sequel to Enola Holmes — and in that case I’d really like to have more soft wholesome content between the two siblings!
