wednesday, 29th september

sitting in a plane for 16 hrs ( and another 1 something hour) is torture and i would like not to do it again. on another note, i’m in a different country for a year and have decided to take a gap year ( of sorts). it’s nerve-wrecking but that’s life; just gotta live it.

april - back home

the internship saga continues : i got rejected ( again) by a well- renowned company. i cried. but now i have to try to move on bcs it’s not the end of the world, it may feel like it but it’s not.

it’s a bit of a sad post today, i apologize. :( i spent my time in a hotel tho ( first time ever) and i didn’t really enjoy it ( lol anxiety) and i’m behind in uni ( rlly terrible).

y’know what they say about rock bottom :)

March - on internships & struggling

i have been applying for loads of internships over the last month and it’s so depressing bcs my technical skills r good ( i always get past the CV stage) but the interviews go so badly. the problem is me, but i don’t want to change either bcs then i’ll be miserable at the company.

r u internship hunting and if so, how’s that going? ( hope it’s going better than mine)

Jan 19 - on exam season

for today, i have an exam for my financial markets course and to say i’m stressed would be an understatement. but i’m hanging in there.

i think the nicest thing about me is that my water bottle used to be a tomato sauce container. [ pictured above]

january - on messy desks & sausage rolls

i hate messy desks, they make me feel anxious and boxed in but sometimes i find myself liking the haphazard-ness of studying. it shows that i was here, i existed and this is the result of my existing.

i like sausage rolls. when i used to live with my parents, they would buy me some whenever we went grocery shopping. they gave some out at church ( when i was a pre-teen). i like sausage rolls for the memory.

december - on french toast & 2020

2020 is coming to an end in a few hours[ or may have ended by the time you are reading this]: for some, 2020 was a year from hell and for others it was a time of self-discovery. personally, it was the latter.

all I want to say is, whichever one you are: your experiences this year are valid. you are loved, appreciated and esp. valued.

ending this year with a simple bullet journal spread & some really good french toast.

15.10.20 - I’ve spent the last couple of days moving into my new house and unpacking all my things! My bookshelves are looking a little empty but that means I can buy more books lmao. Also here’s a pic of my kitty who woke me up at 6am to cuddle and stare at the birds out my window

University just started and I am already in a slump. It’s hard to study when it feels like you are struggling with the content of the course. This time your love for the subject isn’t cutting it anymore.

I learnt something today; Struggle now so you don’t struggle in the exam room.

I hope you try your best to face the content of your course head-on so you are able to rest easy during the exam. <3

09.10.20 / i usually get up before sunrise so when the sunlight finally streams through my window, i feel like i’m renewed and ready for whatever the day will bring. from darkness to light. hope you’ve had a lovely week ♡

28.08.20 // 📚 finally getting through my reading list for my children’s literature module this year, starting with Northen Lights by Philip Pullman. I got to read in my gf’s conservatory with the rain really heavy against the glass and it was heaven. A really nice time after a tough start to the week!

went to school for the whole day today. 7 hours of trying to study with construction above the class and trying not to catch a deadly virus.

the trees on the way to uni r so pretty tho. came back exhausted, showered and got to work.

all in all a good exhausting day.

was a very stressful day ; had two online classes and then an in person class (corporate finance). The teacher of the class amazes me and i am so excited to learn more from him. AHHHHHH *squeals*
