From this reddit thread
“So my friend was dog sitting. I’ve dog sat before and its typical to send videos to the family while they’re on vacation.
After she sent the video she gets this response.“Very nice. But who is in the house with you?”
My friend said, “no one why”
Owner texts back, “get the dogs. If you cant its fine. Get out of the house and call the cops. There’s someone in the house.”
The cops came and checked the house. No unlocked doors or windows. No one in the house. My friend took the dogs to her house untill the family gets back.“

Bruno Santos of darkcornerbooks, illustrates some lesser known creatures of the dark. Like the Japanese legend of the ghost whale, Bake-kujira or the Manananggal of the Philippines, which is a vampire like creature that can sever its torso and take flight to capture its next victim.
They are all really interesting and creepy.
THIS is the tumblr for darkcornerbooks.

Le Cochon Danseur
The Dancing Pig is a silent, 4 minute long, black-and-white burlesque film released in 1907 by French company Pathé (based on a  Vaudeville act).
The film has this giant/terrifying anthropomorphic pig, dressed in fancy clothes, that dances around with a girl who ultimately embarrasses the pig by ripping his clothes off.

The Vent Haven Museum
The Vent Haven Museum in Kentucky is home to nearly 1,000 dummies once brought to life by ventriloquists. It is the only museum in the world dedicated to ventriloquists.
Vent Haven was originally just one man’s personal collection. William Shakespeare (W.S.) Berger, the founder (top picture) of this museum started this museum with a personal collection of 500 dummies.

The Devil’s Tramping ground is a camping site in North Carolina. The folk and lore allege that this is where the devil “tramps” and so nothing grows on this land. Objects disappear there, dogs are too terrified to go onto it, and so are people. Now this is just a local lore in N.C. so it might not be true, but who wants to go spend the night?

Some of the most sought-after artifacts surrounding the legacy of the Mystery Flesh Pit National Park are those items directly connected to the catastrophic 2007 tragedy. Such pieces of ephemera are rare to find in a salvageable condition, owing primarily to the amount of destruction wrought by the accident. Though the now-infamous CGR investigative report has long been made public, there remain many unanswered questions and inconsistencies, with some official reports offering wholly incongruous numbers with regards to total human casualties. In 2022 it is still unknown if the full scope of the accident will ever be entirely known to those outside of Senate committee chambers or Corporate board rooms. Despite this obfuscation, I believe that the truth can be deciphered from the tattered, bloodied, half-digested mementos and souvenirs of the thousands of visitors, workers, and families who suffered for hours (in a few cases days) as they were horrifically eaten alive in a terrible demonstration of wanton brutality on a scale previously unknown in recorded history. Can you imagine their terror? Can any of us really perceive the horror of those visitors as they realized that the end result of a lifetime of hopes, dreams, relationships, and destinies was to be consumed? These lifeless artifacts remain as more than just a testament; they are all that remain. Get yours here. All Major Credit Cards Accepted.
