As a Tumblr thanksgiving present, for those of you who are curious, here is some of the script for Good Omens 2. Actual honest Crowley and Aziraphale dialogue. Not a joke, not a hoax, not an imaginary story.
It's from one of the "Dailies", the half-sized script that is going to be shot that day, that had languished forgotten in my back pocket, before falling apart.
After saving the world—free for the first time in their existence—Aziraphale and Crowley continue on with their lives. Crowley moves flats. Aziraphale reads philosophy. They slowly settle into a soft, tentative sort of happiness.

some thoughts on discord and ‘private’ online spaces
Discord is a great fandom tool. I love being in what basically amounts to big group chats with friends and meeting new people in fandom. But what it has essentially done is transitioned a lot of fandom from ‘open spaces’ to ‘closed spaces’ which has enabled a lot of difficult power dynamics I’ve been thinking a lot about lately.
What do I mean by power dynamics?
Well, when someone owns a discord they have a lot of power over that community. I think back to all the wank I’ve read on fanlore about what happened in LJ communities and on forums, and lately, I’ve seen and been the recipient of similar behavior. Think: owners randomly threatening bans without follow through for minor behavior they don’t like, changes to server rules at the drop of a hat, threats of server deletion, allowing their close friends to behave in ways no one else in the server is allowed to behave.
This is all bully behavior being performed in isolation and, this year, with our limited outside social interaction, we have relied on online communities more than ever. These people have a LOT of power and therefore, when we are in servers with them, we are more likely to put up with this sort of thing for the sake of keeping the peace.
However, these power dynamics aren’t just in discord or in one server. They can span multiple servers or have wide reaching impacts in fandom. Some people don’t like the term BNF. So be it. You can not like it but it’s a thing. There are people in fandom who are more well-known than other, with more social capital than others. Many of these people are in servers, and even are server owners. These people have power, they are hard to speak up against, they have power outside the server, and if you do something they don’t like what will they do? Do they have enough power to get you kicked out of the fandom entirely? It’s impossible to know and it’s scary. I have been in positions where I have been afraid like that. It’s unpleasant. It’s isolating.
If you are afraid of the owner of a server you are in, if you are afraid of a “friend” you have in fandom, I’d encourage you to re-evaluate that friendship. That’s not friendship. That’s toxic. That’s borderline abusive. If you feel every time that this person hurts you or makes you feel bad, that YOU must apologize, that’s not a good relationship.
I’d highly encourage you to talk to trusted friends about these feelings in DM’s or other servers. The best thing for these toxic people is for you to stay in silence and suffer. Isolation and fear benefits them. Sometimes, in order to maintain communities, you do have to put up with these things, but having your friends with you can help. Again, I’ve had these feelings and doing this did help.
Despite all that, I don’t have any good solutions. I’m making this post because I think there are a lot of newer and younger people in fandom who weren’t around for the more forum-based era of fandom. This is all new and maybe these isolating feelings are as new for you as they were new for me. Maybe knowing other people are going through it will help.
Maybe there are some more experienced folks in fandom out there who will see this post who can weigh in with advice. I don’t know. All I know is that a discord server is not worth a toll on your mental health.
The Great Gatsby is one of my favourite stories and I've always wanted to draw something for it, so when @thyra279 posted her go-event fic I was ecstatic and so this happened!
