Gaza has a large disabled population. Wissam is just one of tens of thousands, who need medication and care, facing the devastating choice of being slaughtered at home or out on the streets. All districts in Gaza but one have been declared combat zones.

images I screenshotted towards the end of this video clip:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Original Tweet/X Post states: Presenting, "your sustainable future with eV batteries" Brought to you by: Cobalt Mines of Congo. Twitter/X User Response to this video, originally: What scares me is so much "green" technology and products and such are built off human suffering. The entire world is built on this. The entire world is irrevobaly tied to mass exploitation and I desperately hope that changes in my lifetime. #CongoGenocide #CongoIsBleeding
I have attached a video below these Tweet/X images of Congolese people in Cobalt mines. Video Description: Men, in front of a large, dark brown and muddy area of the mine are digging other men out of a hole that have been inside, excavating for Cobalt. These men are not wearing any protective equipment; other than something to cover their eyes, like goggles and lights attached to them. There is a crowd of people surrounding this area and many are cheering them on; a few men are pulled out due to the velocity/force of being pushed out of the mine area they are coming out from. It looks like the mine is opening up and down like the entrance of a beast's mouth. The exit of this part of the mine opens and closes several times during this video. I took a screenshot at the end of the video to showcase how many people have gathered, and there appears to be hundreds.
*UPDATE: The original person on X, formerly known as Twitter, who posted about this story as a re-tweet, is transphobic. I was unaware, and it was recently brought to my attention. For anyone who has read my pinned post or hasn't yet, I do not align with TERFs/transphobes/transmisogynists. I cropped out the original tweet/X post and added their initial commentary on the video just for context, my apologies for the oversight.*

something very bleak about israeli officials rolling out curvy egirls in fake soldier uniforms to dance cutsie in tiktok videos or post vaguely sexual selfies on twitter to garner more support like ik ppl r already talking about it but ive never quite seen anything like this, they have rentable egirls for genocide propaganda . thats insane.

i think people need to consider deeply what they’re going to do in the long term to keep the flame of political consciousness alive. that is one thing being confronted with the palestinian genocide can do for you. reblogging live updates and posts that combat propaganda and disinformation work to address the crisis now, but the crisis is long-standing and will continue after it stops making headlines. what will you do then? what will you do when you’re no longer forced to stare it in its face?

with my nakba posts, here's some website recommendations if you want to learn on the history of specific depopulated palestinian areas:
palestine remembered is probably the most famous and comprehensive website with full documentations of former locations and depopulated villages. it also lists information on palestinian refugee camps, guestbooks, and the ability to upload pictures. information on each village varies.
zochrot is an organization dedicated to teaching both palestinians and israelis about the 1948 nakba (which is not covered well if at all in israeli schools, as you can probably imagine), which includes documenting information on villages and even an app. information on each village varies.
the interactive encyclopedia for the palestinian question's places page has some detailed histories and a map as well, but doesn't go into the detail of the last two sites, and doesn't have pictures or sources.
many villages also have their own websites, and many of them are also in english (for example, the one i linked for kafr bir'im). honestly just look up (village name) + website and if it's there you'll find it.
wikipedia also has surprisingly comprehensive coverage of the villages, the articles include a little more of the "war" background than the other websites do.
all that remains: the palestinian villages occupied and depopulated by israel in 1948 is a famous book by palestinian historian walid khalidi which gives a detailed account of what became of 400 different depopulated palestinian villages. it was released in 1992, so it's not current, but many of the things he wrote still hold.

And so it begins: Israeli media outlet Jerusalem Post has now labeled some of the most prominent and visible Palestinian journalists inside Gaza as "Hamas' Propaganda Team".
As I've been saying all along, when you can just label everything and everyone as Hamas, you dehumanize them and provide the moral justification for their targeting and killing.
The same tactic has been deployed against hospitals, refugee camps, bakeries, churches and ordinary people...

You know, the way people be talking about Palestine and the things going on makes me think about how the world would’ve viewed Algeria if we didn’t get our independence back 1962
You know damn well they would’ve called our revolution and martyrs terrorists, you know damn well they would aid France in every way to keep on killing us, you know damn well they would’ve called the FLN (national liberation front) a “terroristic group aimed to kill Christian people”, you know damn well they’d try to erase any type of evidence of Algerian people already being native to that land before the French came in, you know damn well they’d sensor any media that talked about our case, you know damn well they would be coming out with excuses like “oh we were after the FLN”
Like I’m not sorry, but if you’re a person from a country that experienced and suffered from colonialism, and still support Israel, then you have disappointed your martyrs and ancestors, you disappointed everyone that died and got killed for your country
