Why did you start smoking?
To be honest, I can't really remember. I think it had somethin' to do with rebelling against my dad and tryin' to act cool.
But now I just do it outta habit.

"A couple miles? Ugh...well it could be worse, I guess," He let loose a sigh, "C'mon, before I change my mind."
“Yeah, yeah, sounds good to Spike.” He shrugged off non-nonchalantly. “How far away is not too far, Ed?”

He blinked once, taking the package and looking it over, "Oh? Annie always did have a way with givin' me things I couldn't afford."
"Maybe it's alcohol and protein this time. Who knows how long it's been since I've had either of those," He teared at the package, not even stopping to look at the note.

“That, I’m gonna leave up to you. Since we both know neither of us can cook, you find the nearest, cheapest place and I’ll pay.”
“Just don’t…get somethin’ nasty, alright?”

"Huh?" He looked down at the pad, and then back up at the girl, a quizzical look on his face. Never had he have to sign for something. Sure, an I.D was asked every now and then, but never a signature. Something seemed fishy, but Spike wasn't going to dwell on it too long. "Alright, kid. If you say so." And so he signed the paper, clear as day, before reaching into his pocket. "...Ahah!"
"It looks like I must've left my wallet at home. You don't mind giving a guy a freebie with the I.D thing, do ya?"

“…Sounds ‘bout right. No bounties, huh? Well lucky for us, I managed to snag a couple on my trip.”
“You up for some cheap food that’s not in a premade container?”

"Well aren't you just a ball of holiday spirit. Didn't anyone ever teach you how to share, Faye?"
He flicked the cigarette around his lips, an unimpressed scowl on his face, “Gee. Thanks. Ever think about being Santa Claus? You sure got the gift giving and figure for it.”
“Maybe if you weren’t such an ass I’d share my whiskey.” she grlaredd at him as she reached into the small brown bag she had set down on the couch. “But since you’re so full of joy… I think I’ll keep it to myself.”

“You have to work to get a extended vacation, Ed. Damn, what happened while I was gone anyways?”

"Uhah, right. Well, I don't really see a point in getting the manager. Just get me a pack of smokes; the cheapest you have please."
“There’s a lot of things I’d like, but few I can afford m’afraid. You uh…you alright there?”

“You? Kind? I knew you were a gambler, Faye, but not a liar. Just what’s this little gift of yours anyways?”
“I’m full of surprises though, you just never know what I might do next.” she grinned while reaching into the pocket of her red coat to grab the so called gift, “Here.” she said while tossing over a key chain that had a little race horse on it.
