One more in control than the other without even trying. Honestly, he was not even sure, what he wanted to accomplish with this, but it certainly served as a good entertainment  —  her reactions. Though there was also a different kind of pleasure, it simply felt nice to be caressed, touched from her. 

Grimmjow’s grin would not fade at her response.  “For someone who seeks to hurt me, you are doing a terrible job at the moment.”  When her finger touched the black skin, he would hiss but not out of pain, more out of excitement and tease her further.  “…quite the opposite, actually.”  smirking before pushing his hips slightly closer to hers, an invitation to continue with her explorations.  

“…so gentle, Katen.”  Raising his head from her shoulder, to stare right at her eye(s).  “If you want … I can make it more interesting for you.”  If she would truly wound him, it would be no issue as his regeneration abilities were not the worst and if it was something else  —  well, it is good they were alone. 

‘ do you seek me to pain you .. ? ‘ her question was in passing, humoring his taunts but also defusing them. the tone was bored, as if she wasnt listening to him. her interest now in his body and not that smart mouth. her eye only looking back at him when he hissed out, studying his expression.

‘ what does it feel like ? ‘ she looked back to the darkness, her finger tapping and trailing around. touching and pressing. her actions hinted at something sensual but her mind was focus on one thing; was this a weakness of his ? what would happen if she were to cut him here ? ... she was so close to his organs. interesting. 

finally, she pulled her hand and eye from it and looked down at the feline. he had her attention. she’ll bite. ‘ .. continue. ‘

          Neither malice nor judgment passed his lips as they formed her name. This was a quiet moment shared between spirits—-a peace offering in the form of two drinks. Shinso situated himself to sit across from her, knees bowed, as a replying gesture to her courtesy. Humming, the serpent considered her question, clouded eyes in pause along her headdress, idle.

        ❝ In this form–no… However, for humans, the act of tasting and scent are linked sensations. I can’t see how you’d consider that, by your implications, unfortunate… ❞

          Shinso took the offered drink, slow, and silently sipped.

‘ a scent can be a warning.. it gives you time to consider.. to react.. make a decision if you want to partake.. ‘

at first she didnt meet his gaze. her eye fixated on her own drink. the slow pour making her pause last even longer. setting the vase down she picked up her own cup. bringing it to her lips but not drinking yet.

‘ ... now a taste ? that is a commitment.. you have to deal with that flavor whether you like it or not.... how bothersome. ‘ finally she would allow the sharp liquid wash over her palette. 

‘ .. how is that other snake ? ‘ she murmured in passing, speaking about his master.

‘ at first you were so pushy to meet me and now you are so cold ... you wound me. ‘ a small grin formed on her lips. it was devious and chilling. 

‘ not so curious anymore, espada ? did you not enjoy my games ? ‘

    it is her unique presence  that nearly brings a shiver down his spine, and a distinct coldness to his fingertips.   ❛    what business do you have with me ?   ❜

“Well, I am still here. Am I not? And it is certainly not smart to be near something, that is deadly despite how beautiful it might be,”  he explained and showed that he was not fearing her (not yet) but also how weak he was for her; foolish indeed but he could not help it and if he really died early, then he only hoped not to land in hell. He had lived so long and came quite early to the conclusion that it will be impossible for him to ever reach his goal. 

“No…”  he somewhat purred, just to tease her further as if he was not really listening —  the increase in pressure not bothering him at all, one had to stab him first to make him feel real pain due to his Hierro. 

Grimmjow would only grin and even when her fingers dove inside, it only widened.  “Perhaps,”  he began, his reaction most likely disappointing.  “But it is really no special spot for me, … if I allow you to run your hands across my back or other parts of my body, you have all the right to do it there too.”  Even there, his Hierro was protecting him.  “Were you hoping to hurt me?” 

‘ yes, you are.. for now. ‘ she could tell he didnt fear her, it was easy to read within his action. and it was frustrating to a point. she had the type of personality that demanded respect. and she knew she had the power to obtain it. but.. there was a reason her master never used his bankai. her sheer power, her aura. no one was safe from her darkness when it was released. it doesnt effect one but many. thousands of shinigami consumed in a sea of depression that would drive them to the point of suicide. it wouldnt be safe to prove herself in the seireitei. not to mention shunsui probably wouldnt let her materialize again. what a bother.

he was right. the reaction was most disappointing. not even a gasp or flinch.. her brow knitted with a soft anger for a moment from his sheer ego. was he trying to make her a fool ? the fury rebounded with sheer curiosity as she watched her hand be engulfed by him. it was as expected, it was just a hole. but it still wasnt normal. it was foreign to her.

‘ of course i was. ‘

she answered simply, her frame turning to allow herself a better look. her fingers curling to press against the dark surface area. a hesitant and gentle stroke.

Slowly allowing himself to relax, not that he had a choice anyway once her fingers went down his back.  “Hmpf…”  Burying his head for a moment into her shoulder, before looking up.  “… scared what might happen if you go lower?” 

‘ without success .. ? ‘ katen echoed with a mild curiosity. her eye catching the smirk and noting his confidence. she tsked his ambition silently to herself. he was a fool.. but who was she to deny him of his fate ? if he wanted an early death, so be it.

that small smile dropped as he teased. her eye now bland and doll. ‘ do you think i fear you ? ‘ she continued to pet him leisurely for a few more strokes. her nail pressing into his skin a bit now. 

‘ you take my politeness as weakness.. ‘

in an instant, her hand lifted and plugged right into his dark abyss.

' is that a compliment ... ? ‘ a small smile ghosted on her painted lips. she was tense at first from the forward affection.. but she would allow it. her hand then lifted to trace down his spine, petting the feline. stopping right above his opening in his torso each time.

the motion mimicked, the zanpakuto gripped her own cup. slowly bringing it to her lips to sip for a long moment. a smile behind her cup as she nodded a little. he was right-- but she didnt like telling him that. 

‘ .. true. that was rather shocking, i must say. i wonder if she understands her true nature though. ‘ to fight, to murder, to win. she was silent and reserved but overall, she was deadly. 

‘ trust your judgement .. ? please. ‘ she almost hissed before glancing over at him, he almost made her spill her drink. ‘ the only reason you have yet to steer me wrong is because i have yet to let you do so. ‘ everything was done on her terms. he may wield the blade but it cuts on her command. it was a good thing shunsui was patient. 

‘ and i have witnessed your judgement.. game after game.. failure after failure. ‘ a small smile coming to her lips, devious. oh how she loved to tease him about their record in games.

the closer the demoness crept, the heavier the weight on his soul felt. the pressure was enormous and for a moment sweat formed along furrowed brow. it was agony, hellish and he felt as though blackness was going to devour him. there was nothing he could nor nothing he WANTED   to do. that was the allure of her trickery : the creature made you feel welcome within her arms, adored. cherished. but it was all to simply lure you to your death.

mercifully the realized zanpakuto eased back and dutifully poured a much needed drink. prim and proper, a   QUEEN   in her own right as she mentioned the chill. he chuckled, bringing the cup to his lips : allowing himself more than a taste. 

a chuckle.    ❛   nanao-chan can handle herself..don’t you worry about her. and besides hasn’t she proven such to you already? after all she managed to befriend kyōkotsu.    ❜    another sip.    ❛    you should trust my judgement at any rate! when have i steered you wrong?    ❜    a smile coy and knowing spread.
