hiii hello i absolutely love your art its gorgeous❤❤❤ on that note, im having a lot of trouble with rendering and youre really good at it so...could you give me some tips???

Thank you so much! My personal advice would be to focus on the tone first and leave the rendering part until the very last. A lot of beginner artists tend to focus on render and details, and it's a totally normal learning process since I did it too. And a lot of professionals tend to struggle with this. We think that rendering will help the image to be prettier and more interesting, but without a good tonal base, it will not help. And you would "waste" a lot of time and mental energy. I recommend studying classical paintings, especially their tone and shapes first. Maybe do a few black-and-white studies, and then turn them into color. Remember that big shapes first - then smaller shapes. Big brushstrokes first - then smaller ones. And when it's time to render you will just need to refine the shapes. I did something similar here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSOZ_7bbb-k (this one is unlisted because it's a link from another video of mine, but the start was cut in the editing process). Also, I implemented one interesting practice recently. Often artists recommend squinting your eyes to see the bigger shapes and I usually forget to do it. But I have the power of bad eyesight so I just remove my glasses and paint without them for as long as I can :D And only put them on when I need to render the smaller details. It's a bit hard to put my render process in words in more detail, but I can try and make a video explainer later if you and others are interested :) I have a few blog posts on my Patreon already, but I will do more in the future for sure!
