Towels for my sister. All 3 dragon patterns come from embroidery library. No thread changes, 2 of them are under 10 minutes to stitch out, the last one is 11 minutes.

Not sewing related, but got some very (darkly) funny water bottles from Daiso.

Simplicity 8065. A pretty easy pattern, but the over shirt thing is a little weird. From what I could tell in the directions, the over shirt part doesn't close in the back, so I decided to tack it down. Anyway, since it is a dress for my daughter, she chose the fabric. Not sure how it fits yet, but she'll be home from school soon.

Very tickled by the brand of couches they are selling at Costco. My husband was reminded of "Love Shack" I said "oh, my immediate thought was scrotum."

Simplicity 8701- I cut this out before I started the whole weight loss thing, so I already knew it was going to be too big, so I didn't follow the instructions at all. I got the legs together, threw a waistband on it and used elastic like the old lady I've become. No zippers or buttons for me! The length of the legs was outrageous, had to cut them down before hemming. The legs themselves are enormous. I love them.

I'm starting to feel like such an old lady- elastic waistbands for everything! Mostly I am just trying to make things easier on myself so that I either won't have to take things in again or it will be easier to do if I just have to fix some elastic.

It was a dress I made, now it is a top and skirt. I also made some good progress taking in 2 dresses and some skirts. I still have a big pile that needs to be altered though, and about 20 more pounds to lose before I start making new clothes again.

Finished the full set of crabs- which actually take 34 minutes to stitch out not 24 like the lying machine says. Crabs are from embroidery library. Did the purple one first and ended up switching out a blue thread for a more purple looking thread because the blue thread was cheaper and somehow the machine knows when it is cheap thread and doesn't stitch as nicely. Just 2 more sets of towels to do (with even longer stitch time patterns- yay!).

I feel like the embroidery machine's math doesn't check out. Also 24 mins my ass, stupid crab takes 45 mins at least.

It is time to take some clothes in again, so I also did that thing where I take a dress I made but never wear and try to turn it into something I will hopefully wear. So, I got a shirt and skirt out of this one. Got one more dress to do that to, and then a whole stake of things to take in (both made and purchased).

I actually did do some sewing this weekend. I took in some store bought dresses, but I didn't take any photos. I am reluctant to start new sewing projects for myself as I am still in the process of trying to lose weight (still have about 30 pounds to go). So here is an out of order raptor instead.

Stack of skirts I have to take in. Haven't been sewing much new lately because in the process of losing weight. Down 30 pounds already, still a lot to go. So just doing alterations for now.

Simplicity 8096. I didn't follow the instructions like I should have so the top and bottom didn't fit together as nicely as they should have (lots of overhang on top). But the pattern is pretty easy. The fit is ok, but I should have spent a little more time making sure the top fit snuggly - it is a little loose in the bodice. Might go back and add some red ribbon trim. It had been on the sewing table for a long time, so at least it's done. The fabric was from the stash. The embroidery is from Urban Threads and embroidery library.
