also I've never seen a gem with two different colors rather than just a full (change in fusions).

the aquamarine eyeball speculation fusion seems corrupted to me because of the green. idk why but it just comes off that way to me. going off of speculation that the new episodes have to do with the temple, I want to say that the temple and the corruption are linked. however, because corruption was kind of "solved," I'm not sure how likely this is.

also if it's an aquamarine and eyeball fusion I'd like to think it's because they're a new villain and they got together to have more power (thru fusion) to end the peace on earth, technically defecting (for lack of better word) from homeworld.

pink pearl theories

omg so many options

my main theory: so attached to pink, a spinel situation where pink lashes out and accidentally hurts her pearl

-> this could also lead to a connection between pink pearl and spinel. I'm not sure where pink pearl is rn so this could be on homeworld too. they could bond over their trauma and then help the other diamonds learn from pinks mistakes. if pink pearl is still attached to pink, then maybe spinel could snap her out of it

other, less likely theories:

1) too attached to pink, not advising enough, white damaged her eye as a warning, it didn't stop, white gives pink our pearl and takes pink pearl

2) too attached to pink, fused w her, white damaged her eye as a warning, it didn't stop, white gives pink our pearl and takes pink pearl (I'm excited for this but not sure if its likely)

3) (less likely imo) white damaged her when she was mind controlling her

-> a) pink pearl took a hit for her on the field

-> b) too much stress from the mind control

I'm leaning towards the pink diamond related theories because of this image from the trailer of Steven Universe Future
