*squeals excitedly* does this mean you're almost finished with chapter three of Dating Prince Charming?

A tentative yes we are nearing the finish line… At this point my biggest obstacle is myself! I keep editing it / adding on bits deleting stuff that no longer works with the stuff I added. I cant seem to settle on how Salty i want Lila and Chloe’s fates to be! And then il re-read it and be like oh I didn’t add nearly enough of this or that. Im my own worst enemy…

My other arch-nemesis has been Stardew Valley getting an update while Ive been dealing with house hunting and computer exploding and stuff. So many things to do so many alluring distractions. But between all the madness and bus trips id open google docs on my phone to add to it bit by bit.

Would you ever write something as salty as the "Everything You Deserve" prompt ever again?

Sure. But just like “Everything You Deserve” it would likely be an AU looking at an extreme situation or showing how a character could be pushed into making a bad decision.

Cuz again the way I like to write salt is to look at a character and ask “okay but HOW and WHY would they do these things. How much convincing, bribing, fear, paranoia, ect ect is needed for them to start acting like a worse/better version of themselves”

With the class and Adrien i do see them as written to be kinda overly sweet overly forgiving and yeah gullible. (Sorry Bustier your lessons set these kids up to be exploited) and then from there I ask okay now what would it take for them to do X, Y, Z.

In ‘Everything You Deserve’ it was an alt-AU that presented Adrien as a kid who loves Plagg and being a hero and values those things immensely so when Ladybug asks for the ring back out of nowhere. He panics, gets paranoid and freaked out feels backed into a corner his life sucks he imagines the worst and makes a spur of the moment awful selfish decision.

Basically I wrote him to be a version of Adrien who’s sanity kinda just ‘cracked’ because he didnt trust enough in Plagg or Ladybug or maybe even himself.

So yeah i could write something that salty and dark again but id want it to feel organic a glimpse into an AU worst possibility reality type situation.

Sorry if my question about how dumb you made Adrien in Dating Prince Charming sounded passive agressive, it's just that no matter how bad someone think Adrien is, the idea of him WILLINGLY dating Lila is way too far fetched, and a story that has him dating Lila and it's not because she blackmailed him or his father forced him to is way too tough a sell. Like you really have to come up with a good reason for why he would do so that doesn't seem too out of character.

Nah its a chill and fair question. I have seen the fics where Adrien willingly dates her with 0 coercion and i also feel those are a step to out of character. Like unless Lila 180’d HARD and gaslight girlbossed so hard that she genuinely convinced Adrien she was a reformed sinner now on the path of good? Nah.

But him dating her cuz dad said do it or else? … yeah. Or dating her from blackmail or dating her thinking hes sacrificing himself in some way? In character.

How much of an idiot did you make Adrien in Dating Prince Charming?

I dont want him to come across as ‘an idiot’ in this fic. And in chapter 3 im working on making it clear that Adrien is a sheltered kid who hurt Marinette yeah but not cuz hes stupid or evil. But because he has no idea how relationships really work and thought him just being in a relationship with Marinette and occasionally sending her flowers or sitting near her was good enough because hey relationships are suppose to be easy and perfect fairy tales where you ride off into the sunset.

I also want it to be clear that Marinette wasn’t a good match for him either. Her expectations were too high then she let her Adrien blinders keep her from pushing for things like boundaries against Chloe ect

Basically they dont work together. Adrien isn’t Prince Charming… not hers anyway. And thats okay. But again all that in Chapter 3.

Now if only I could get my computer to work…

You mentioned that you received a lot of hate after the finale aired. What exactly happened?

Someone or multiple someones spammed my inbox with messages basically drowning any other messages or asks id gotten around that time.

On the not so bad end it was just “lol your dumb” or “how stupid do you feel being wrong” which … was weird? Cuz again I dont hate Adrien and I do sometimes ship Adrien and Marinette when the fic slaps. I just happen to dislike how the show writers write Adrien and that makes me salty and also im a sucker for MariBat so like no i dont feel ‘stupid for being wrong’ cuz ??? Thats not how this works???

So those messages didn’t really bug me.

On the bad bad end I got some very hurtful asks telling me to leave the fandom cuz now that the finale aired and Marinette and Adrien were dating ‘my kind’ (???) were not welcome, that my writing was bad, that i was a C word or B word some mocking me for my spelling errors and calling me disabled among other things.

It was weird. They were all sent on anon and I ended up just clearing them out and deciding to ignore them. But I will admit that it did kill my mojo a bit and make me feel self conscious about my writing and spelling.

But despite that I think this fandom is still full of genuine kind people. So I try not to let these hateful reactions win.

Update: Housing Situation fell apart. A family member volunteered to help us with a down payment then ghosted us completely instead of saying anything.

So its back to stalking rental websites until we can find something in our budget and in an area with public transportation. We thought we found one earlier buttt scam.

Why is it so hard to find a decent place to rent?? And why are down-payments to buy so so much?!? Im not even angry at this point just tired and annoyed.

For those who have been asking and wondering: “Hey where the hell has sunny been? She promised us new chapters to her stuff. Thats kinda rude that she fell off the face of the planet without so much as a note. I hope shes okay at least.”

Soooo yeah… My entire life KINDA exploded. Like you know ‘Murphys Law’ : Anything that can go wrong will go wrong?

WELL that’s been my life!

First off my computer decided to be quirky and special and not like the other girls and stopped accepting the existence of internet. That’s right my very expensive laptop that I use for my job decided I needed to touch grass and went “the internet is fake and you cant convince me otherwise.” So obviously that was a problem and I tried a bunch of stuff to fix it and taking it into a shop and nothing worked and I could not afford another one and again I need it for my job so eventually we figured out a way for it to accept the internet but it needs to be plugged into the router directly.

Then right as that was getting handled. My apartment landlord decided. “Yeahhh I want more money and to get more money I need to renovate so leave. Like asap.” So I have been frantically looking for a place to live. Me and my partner found a place but need to deal with the bank to finalize stuff and the bank is being stubborn and causing problems.

Then on top of that the government of the country im in. (Im an immigrant) went hey wait WE messed up your immigration paperwork and need you to resend a bunch of documents but also the mail messed up so you dont have as much time as we normally give not our problem though. So Ive been diving through our packed belongings looking for old paperwork from over a year ago.

Oh and every few days my very chaotic family sends me very stressful messages or needs my help with stuff.

So… yeah. Im physically healthy at least. But I have not had 1 moment of stress free rest in awhile.

The good news is ive taken care of a lot of the problems above. I mean my housing situation is still very up in the air thanks to money problems and bank laziness but aside from that the rest is mostly ironed out. So for those who have been asking: yes I’m alive, yes I’m okay, no i haven’t abandoned this blog, no i haven’t abandoned my fics, yes i feel bad that everything has been delayed so much.

I hope I can settle everything in my life soon and go back to posting more consistently. Until then please keep your fingers and toes crossed that the housing situation works because its a very nice apartment and I need somewhere to live.

I love the trope of the justice league all thinking that batman is a metahuman, but he just doesn't talk about it because he's secretive about literally everything. Every league member has their own theory on what his powers are which they love to debate and cite examples for whenever batman can't hear them

Barry thinks it's an intelligence thing, like his IQ was boosted or something, that's why he's the world's greatest detective

Hal claims he was bitten by a radioactive bat and has bat powers like echolocation (yes, he knows it sounds stupid, and yes, he will die on this hill, and one day when he gets definitive proof everybody will have to get on their knees and apologize for laughing at him)

Superman thinks he was involved in an experiment by one of Gotham's rogues when he was younger and has standard physical powers (strength, speed, endurance, etc) but just at very low levels so they don't stand out but still put him ahead of normal humans in physical capability

Arthur thinks he has a regenerative factor bc no way an ordinary human gets hit like that so much and keeps going

Victor thinks he's some sort of empath and that's how he's able to do detective work so well and come up with such good plans on the fly

J'onn knows Batman is human (for obvious reasons) and declines to contribute to these conversations because "it would spoil all the fun"

Diana also knows (because she's not stupid) but contributes to these conversations not with her own theories but by egging on everybody else's because she loves chaos

Bruce is aware of the situation and hasn't said anything because he's not sure yet if it's more or less beneficial that they think he's a metahuman (though he does wish Diana would stop encouraging Hal's radioactive bat theory)

Expanding a thought from a conversation this morning:

In general, I think "Is X out-of-character?" is not a terribly useful question for a writer. It shuts down possibility, and interesting directions you could take a character.

A better question, I believe, is "What would it take for Character to do X?" What extremity would she find herself in, where X starts to look like a good idea? What loyalties or fears leave him with X as his only option? THAT'S where a potentially interesting story lies.

In practice, I find that you can often justify much more from a character than you initially dreamed you could: some of my best stories come from "What might drive Character to do [thing he would never do]?" As long as you make it clear to the reader what the hell pushed your character to this point, you've got the seed of a compelling story on your hands.

French! I did not start learning to write in English until I was a bit older and I struggle a bit to this day often mixing up my there's and to's and your's but I genuinly think writing fanfiction has been helping my english improve which is nice!

A Winter Dance: Has been REMASTERED.

Sooo to buy myself more time to work on other fics (Im trying guys I swear adhd brain nightmare) I have a little surprise to hopefully keep you all entertained this Holiday Season!

For awhile now the spelling errors, words in wrong places, and just 'could have been even better' feelings toward my 'A Winter Dance' fics have been driving me crazy, so slowly on the side I have been fixing them up. First it was just correcting the errors, then I just rewrote a little here, added a little more there and oops?

So as a special 'thank you' and my way of wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays I updated the two fics here. Don't worry if you still prefer the old version I will keep them up on AO3 where I will also be publishing the updated version as its own thing.

The Winter Dance was widely considered by all students of Francois Dupont to be one of the most romantic events of the school year. Each year as the snow began to fall and teachers got there last minute exams in before the holidays the students would grow restless knowing that soon the time would come. The winter dance was the time for romantic confessions, heartfelt words, and shy first dances between blossoming young couples! Adrien Agreste, was NOT jealous. He just wasn’t the sort! He had seen Chloe jealous often enough to decide that it was a ridiculous emotion one he had no time for! Why be jealous of your friends when you could be happy for them and support them! It was such a simple logical conclusion Adrien had no idea why that wasn’t everyone’s solution! Oh sure he had tried to explain his feelings to Nino, tried to make his friend understand what he was really feeling was obviously concern! But for some reason his best friend kept on calling him jealous! It was frankly starting to get annoying.

On your 'Dating Prince Charming' fic: How the hell did Adrien fumble Marinette so hard😭😭???? If I had a girlfriend who went out of her way to memorize my busy schedule just to plan alone time together, made presents for my future birthdays, and was generally sweet with wanting the best for me you best believe that I would bow down before her the second she asked me too. Okay Im seeing some Bustier requests some Kagami and Luka its giving me INSPIRATION and some ideas~

I was on the fence about Bustier but ya’ll have inspired me and I have some IDEAS now. Also maybe just a quick Gabriel p.o.v so we can see him failing just a tiny one cuz i love for him to suffer.

Also Lila is not done screwing up her own life in this part do not even worry girl is gonna bring down her own life even harder.

Okay so with Dating Prince Charming pt3 I have a bunch (but not all) of parts written from different Characters POV’s ( Nino, Adrien, Lila, Mendeliev, ect) but out of curiosity I wanna know is there anyone you guys want to see the perspective of? And do you guys want this to be more linear (they each tell a part of the plot if oart 3) or more ‘show us each persons perspective’ or maybe a mix of both

Currently im doing a mix of both showing the characters perspective and advancing the plot but as a result im not sure who to start with and im a bit uncertain of things. Ya’ll are usually very opinionated in a good way so tell me what your hoping for and hopefully that will help me decide who to kick this off with and who to end this with?
