Optimus Prime possesses the uncanny ability to completely and totally absorb himself in a task. Whether it's the ever-changing encryption battle with Soundwave or a particularly difficult mathematic equation Miko had found (for she liked to regularly send) he has been known to loose days to work.

The down-side of that hyper focus is that when the flow state is broken, so is he. For a few hours at least.

The first time he encountered flowers on Earth was driving through prairies after a bloom. Nothing had prepared him for the swaths of color and vibrancy of those grassy seas. It was later he discovered that humanity enjoys giving flowers as gifts as well.
