Concept: jmart planning out a roleplay scenario and jon getting way too into it that he insists on doing rehearsals and also researches the deep lore of indoor plumbing. The script says he was supposed to demand sex from Martin as payment for fixing their pipes but he ends up actually repairing the sink.

Idea/ step away from canon that Jon gets marked by the lonely far before going to get Martin. He’s been isolated from people for so long, either intentionally (when he first started at the archives and was shutting people out to maintain a ‘professional’ attitude), or unintentionally (later in season 2-4, when he’s becoming so paranoid that the people around him withdraw, and he has no one). Imagine that when he finally meets Peter, Peter recognizes the lonely in jon, but jon doesn’t realize. Imagine how that would change how Peter interacts with Martin, and how Martin interacts with Jon. Martin diving deeper in the lonely to get peters more of peters attention off of jon, because Martin knows how dangerous the lonely is, and because Martin cares and loves jon so much he doesn’t want jon to do that to himself
