Hello! I'm the person who asked about your papercut art the other day and I must say: you're a literal saint! 馃槶馃檹
I didn't expect you to put together a whole video for it. I owe you my life orz
I have 0 knowledge on blender (literally downloaded it a few days ago) but I can already understand so much from this explanation alone! And it's super helpful to know what to research with the additional documentation as well, so thank you so very much, can't wait to put it into practice!! ;v;
Yeah of course! It鈥檚 the sort of thing where even a long text post can鈥檛 convey it well
Wish I could link specific good tutorials but I鈥檓 happy I could point you to the general direction! The tutorial I made is a little long for just skimming through but once you get the hang of it, it鈥檚 a pretty quick process!
aghh i got way too many tbh.. but i have like two main main groups!!

^ These fellas all live in a weird little town together that was built on top of some isekai'd city block in a nightmarish realm. They all have their own little stories and aspirations.. the place may be a little haunted by all the death and malice left there though.
^ Then there are these guys who live in a separate but more normal little town! Some angelic eldritch thing appeared before them and gave them and their world about three years to live. How exciting!

You can look at their sparse bios on TH here if you'd like, but there's not much yet. I really want to make projects with them, but between work and games and art and distraction it is taking awhile.
Hello! I first need to say that I greatly admire your art, I love how you come up with different pieces every time, each more beautiful than the last, you're genuinely a huge inspiration <3 馃槶
I wanted to ask, do you have more input on how you do your blender papercut-like animations? I know you did a quick tutorial on an artfight piece last year but, how would you explain it to someone who's completely unfamiliar with the software?
I'm maybe asking a lot tho, so instead, do you have any video tutorials you recommend?
Thank you for all the kind words!! I appreciate it so <3 ;u;
I did learn solely off youtube, but it was a very very long time ago.
I recommend learning the basics of creating meshes and navigating the menus - a lot of tutorials exist out there (but I don't have any specific one in mind cause it's been forever).
I DO remember doing the notorious blender doughnut for my first model though!

Additional documentation/tutorial to look up for this is
transparent materials
shape keys
basic keyframing and rigging
I'm sorry I can't provide specifics.. but I tried to put together a very bad overview video myself for the Caged Wish piece to try to walk through it.
