I've said far more about this on my old blog but here's a reminder that Susan Pevensie was a very young child escaping World War 2 when she was forced to participate in a literal holy war with her very young siblings and then rule an entire world as queen for years before coming back to her world where she was still a child escaping the deadliest war in history and then next year she was forced to come back to the other realm again merely an year older than she was last time and fight in another holy war for the future of an entire world before being told she could never even return to the world she had helped save twice as a mere child and which owed her an unpayable debt and then the next time the story caught up to her she was now an adult and no longer believed and she was fucking villainized for that as if fighting holy wars that could've turned lethal at any moment for a world that wasn't her own and helping save it twice and then ceasing to believe after she'd been turned away by the same world she helped save twice was somehow her being a selfish girl playing at being a grown-up and refusing to acknowledge the "good" parts of childhood

Is this not one of the Mewtwo movies
Scientists revive a dead god through prayer, and worship him just enough to be alive but not powerful, so they can keep him in the lab to study how mana works.

Susan is beautiful. She is beautiful like a waterfall. You stop to stare at it and marvel at its power and majesty. You do not dare think for a second it is something you stand on the same plane as.

EXACTLY
What the Pevensies Gifts Meant
A/N - this is what I think okay. Don't be mad don't be weird don't be creepy.
1. High King Peter the Magnificent
Father Christmas gave him his sword, Rhindon, and his shield with the insignia of a red lion.
Let's do the sword first. Rhindon. I think Rhindon was primarily given to Peter to show him that he was a king, and he would have to fight, and more importantly have to kill as a king to protect his country and people.
The shield was kinda the opposite of the sword. To show Peter that carnage was not the only way of preserving peace, and that a king must be more than a warrior and a knight. That he must be able to protect and not only destroy.
2. Queen Susan the Gentle
She received her quiver, bow, and horn.
The horn I think, was a way of telling her it's okay to ask for help, it's okay to be weak sometimes, and that she doesn't always have to be the responsible one. Susan always had to be the stand in parent for her younger and older siblings, so this was a reprieve for her.
The bow and arrows were a gift that I think symbolic of Susan herself. Restrained yet sharp, to the point (im sorry), planned and calculated. Susan is not someone who enjoys or is good at close quarters combat, but with her arrows she could hit a flying swallow's tail with no problem at all. Delicate and Deadly. What other combination could better describe the Gentle Queen who brought nations to their knees.
3. Queen Lucy the Valiant
Lucy was a warrior. But that is not all she was. Aslan himself said that if she were any braver she'd be a lion. Her dagger was proof of that. She did not need to be large and covered in muscles to fight. There was a saying in Narnia during the Golden Age, "A small dagger freed the Great Lion from the Stone Table." Although Lucy learned to fight with a sword later in, she always kept her dagger strapped to her person.
The cordial was no doubt one of the most important gifts given to the Pevensies. And I think in giving it to Lucy, it highlights her as the most important. Peter may hold the title of High King, but Lucy was the true Queen. She found Narnia, believed in Aslan, and never lost hope.

Finders Keepers
The first month after being coronated the Pevensie siblings were very careful with their crowns. They would polish them every evening and make sure the crowns were sitting snug on their velvet pillows and tuck them in and kiss them goodnight.
And then the second month started.
Crowns were left on picnic blankets and dining tables. Peter even forgot his at a really important dinner in Calormen and somehow, Susan's crown was found sitting on the head of her favourite horse in the stables one morning.
Lucy and Edmund started playing a game called, "Pillow or Willow", where if a crown is not kept on its pillow after midnight it's fair game and ends up on a the Willow tree right outside Cair Paravel.
So far there have been three victims.

Secrets
Lucy is the best at secrets. Anything whispered in her ears is never revealed. No matter how much someone pokes and prodes, she just smiles and angelic smile and walks away.
She also has a knack for uncovering secrets. It's not like she hunts them out. Secrets just have a way of finding her. Many a time a court lady has found refuge in Queen Lucy's arms. The birds and beasts of the forest, both speaking and dumb seek her out to confide their troubles knowing that their secrets are safe with her.
But the Valiant Queen is not without secrets herself. Sharp wit hides in warmth of her smile, and her sharper blade hides in the assumptions cast about her. She takes great pride in seeing the surprised faces of her enemies before she cuts them down, and greater pride in being trusted by the secrets of her subjects.

Voices
Even before she came to Narnia, Lucy was always able to hear things. They were just broken words or fleeting whispers, but she could hear them.
But after being crowned a Queen of Narnia, she began to hear their voices.
The dryads would tell her about all the people who had walked through their forests, some good, some bad, and some neither.
The Talking Beasts and Birds would come to soothe her or be soothed themselves whenever there was trouble, and none ever left Queen Lucy's chambers with a heavy heart.
But that was not all Lucy could hear.
She heard the warnings of the clouds before a storm came, and the quiet musings of the grass. Nothing occurred in Narnia that she did not know, and many a time this is what helped Narnia defeat it's invaders.
But after the Pevensies went back through the cupboard and the Telemarines came, Narnia fell silent.

Peter: you know sometimes I feel like nobody really gives me the respect I deserve as your older sibling..... Like even right now I don't think any of you are even listening to me.
Susan: Of course we're listening and we respect you very much *looks at smudged writing on hand* Percy.
Edmund: *started snoring after you know*

Love is in the Air
Peter Pevensie loves love. He likes listening to romantic ballads, watching plays about star crossed lovers, and the most problematic of all, playing matchmaker.
His siblings cannot count the times they have caught Peter hiding behind a bush, surreptitiously watching two nobles trying to flirt with each other. Obviously it's completely chance that they met each other under the moonlight with a plate of heart shaped cookies that look exactly like the ones Peter's private chef makes. Complete chance.
His siblings are pretty sure he's obsessed with finding people's true loves. But, they reason it's better than him trying to find his true love. Which would no doubt be a worse adventure.

Do you ever think you'll stop drawing fanart? No offense it just seems like the kind of thing you're supposed to grow out of. I'm just curious what your plans/goals are since it isn't exactly an art form that people take seriously.
Ah, fanart. Also known as the art that girls make.
Sad, immature girls no one takes seriously. Girls who are taught that it’s shameful to be excited or passionate about anything, that it’s pathetic to gush about what attracts them, that it’s wrong to be a geek, that they should feel embarrassed about having a crush, that they’re not allowed to gaze or stare or wish or desire. Girls who need to grow out of it.
That’s the art you mean, right?
Because in my experience, when grown men make it, nobody calls it fanart. They just call it art. And everyone takes it very seriously.

Things that have happened to the Pevensies on their Picnics
There's a saying in Narnia, that no matter how bad something is, it can't be worse than a royal picnic. The Pevensies have notoriously bad luck with their outings, but every cloud has a silver lining. Here's a highlight reel
It was bright summer day and the Pevensies decided to set out for a picnic in the woods behind Cair Paravel. Little did they know that a swarm of fireants had had the same idea.
In autumn, Edmund and Lucy snuck out of a ball with a few goodies stuffed in their pockets to snack on beside the sea. However, a few curious sirens, intrigued by the lights and music had come to investigate. Thank god for Reepicheep who had secretly followed the siblings, or else they would have drowned.
In winter, Susan had wandered out of the palace in search of some peace and quiet, only to stumble upon the lair of a sleeping basilisk, who was not too pleased on being woken up from his nap. Never was she more thankful for her horn.
Peter has had the best luck with picnics among his siblings. That's not to say he hasn't experienced his fair share of picnic mishaps.
The best is when all the Pevensies had been outing together in spring. They had been sitting together in the beginning, only for Peter and Susan to get into an argument which ended with Peter storming off.
Nonetheless, he came running back within two seconds. It seemed that he had run into an overfriendly naiad who was trying to take him underwater with her.
