[Dispatch] 'Kelly' Rose reveals her real identity in shock interview
One of South Korea's most famous and successful talent managers has revealed her secret identity.
Kelly Rose shot to fame alongside her former business partner Trina Villota as the head of White Entertainment, before branching out with her own company, KRS Media. With an exceptional eye for talent, Rose launched the careers of artists including KARAMEL and Wi-Fi, and even enjoyed success as an artist and adult entertainer herself.
But now Kelly Rose's transgender twin Victoria has claimed that they have been impersonating Kelly publicly since 2017.
In an exclusive interview with Dispatch from Los Angeles, Victoria Rose shares her story.
Dispatch: So let's start from the beginning. Who are you, and what is your relation to Kelly?
Victoria: I was born Victor Oleander Spires. Kelly Oleander Spires is my twin sister.
Dispatch: So you were born a male? You are Kelly's brother?
Victoria: Yes. But I had sexual reassignment surgery in Tijuana in 2015 to become my authentic self, and now I am Victoria and identify as female.
Dispatch: But how can you be Victoria when right now I am looking at Kelly Rose. We have seen you as Kelly Rose for many years in the public eye, have we not?
Victoria: I haven't seen my hermana since 2016, when WR Entertainment was completely liquidated. She and Trina both left Seoul at that time after Jessica, Tiffany and Suzy filed legal action against them.
Dispatch: So you're saying you started impersonating Kelly when she left South Korea?
Victoria: She called me in 2017 after not contacting me for over a year. I was working in Miami at the time. I asked her when she was coming back, I said "Mami, you need to fix this mess you created in Korea." She told me that she couldn't go back there and she wouldn't explain why, but she said it wasn't safe. She said she was happy where she was but had to lie low because of the lawsuits. That was the last time I spoke to her.
Dispatch: But how did you end up in Korea and when did you start impersonating her?
Victoria: My heart hurt for the girls, especially Jessica because she was so close to my hermana. I wanted peace on all sides. So I went to Seoul to try talk to the girls about dropping the lawsuit and to see if they could forgive Kelly. That way I could have my sister back and they could all heal their pain and get back to how things were. But as soon as I left the airport I had fans and members of the press saying, "Kelly! Kelly! You're back!" They were taking my picture, asking me for autographs, asking me about the legal case. They thought Kelly had been in Miami getting plastic surgery and that I was her. I didn't know what to do...
Dispatch: Do you understand that it's illegal to impersonate somebody's identity?
Victoria: You have to understand, I am a transgender woman. South Korea is a conservative country. I couldn't share my true self publicly. And I was worried that my gender identity would tarnish Kelly or her artists. I just felt it would be easier to briefly pretend I was Kelly and then go back to Miami later.
Dispatch: But you didn't go back to Miami. Since 2017 you have starred in adult films, released music videos and albums, appeared on television shows, and even created you're own streaming TV network. You have become a media mogul all by using your sister's name.
Victoria: When I first got to Korea my only goal was to fix the legal situation and mend everyone's relationship. My sister had done so much damage and I just wanted to fix it - and I did. Then I started to get offers as a celebrity - first for my own adult tape, then music and more. I think I just got used to being recognised. I loved the attention. Growing up, Kelly was always the star of the family. She was beautiful and wild and commanded attention wherever she went. I was Victor, the awkward little boy who wanted to be like my hermana. I would pray to the Virgin every night, I would say "Please let me be like her. Please let us swap places. I know you don't make mistakes God but please fix this."
Dispatch: Do the members of Karamel know who you are?
Victoria: No. Nobody does. Not a soul. And the truth is, I didn't even know who I was. I believed I was my sister. In impersonating her, I became her. I became an actress who never left the set. I even thought Jessica was like my own daughter.
Dispatch: And why did you come clean? After all of this time?
Victoria: I was caught. I went in for breast surgery last month and there was a complication. I started losing a lot of blood and the doctors needed to give me a transfusion. But when they were looking for the right match, they realised my blood was of a male's. One of the nurses reported it to the police. When I was recovering in hospital, the officer told me I would need to come to the station to be fingerprinted and to answer some questions once I recovered. The jig was up. That afternoon I grabbed my things and got on the first flight to America. Legally they can only charge me in South Korea, so I'm safe here.
Dispatch: And what about Kelly? Where is she now? What happened to her?
Victoria: I wish I knew. I haven't heard from her since 2016. There's only one person who I believe knows here whereabouts... When I went to Seoul and met with Tiffany, Suzy, and Jessica for the first time as part of the lawsuit, Jessica looked like she'd seen a ghost. Tiffany and Suzy believed I was Kelly without a doubt, but Jessica was different. At first I chalked it down to her bad experiences with Kelly, but it was more than that. She knew something. I wanted to ask her, but of course I couldn't. She always avoided me after that and was cold. She wouldn't share much. I believe she suspected something.
Dispatch: And now that the truth is out, will you retire from the public eye?
Victoria: Oh no. I have worked too hard for years to build my brand. I may have left Korea, but I haven't left the spotlight. I can run my company from anywhere in the world. And now the public will know me for me, Victoria Oleander Spires Rose, and not my sister. It's my time to shine.

Kelly Rose announces Roseworld+ streaming network
Kelly Rose is launching her own online streaming network, Roseworld+. The network is part of her newly rebranded multi-purpose entertainment company, Roseworld Entertainment.
"After testing out a streaming model with Kelly's Academy on OnlyFans, I've decided to launch my own network where you can exclusively access a wide variety of entertainment programs," Kelly told Forbes.
"Roseworld+ aims to bring Korean entertainment to a global audience, with a special focus on the lucrative but largely untapped Latin American market," she continued.
"With my proven track record of launching successful artists and brands, I will use my expertise to continue to develop new talent and projects at Roseworld Entertainment and create exciting content for Roseworld+."
Original programs headed for Roseworld+ include season two of Kelly's Academy, Idols: Itaewon, KARAMEL: The Early Years, G.NA: My Story in Black & White, Kontroversial, Yo Quiero Wendy Wonyoung, Plastic Tourist with Clara Lee, Where Did You Go? and more.
The platform will also house a library of long-forgotten content, dubbed 'Klassics', including the dramas Dancing Generation and Busan Heights, Rocker Princess, Lady Pirates (season 1-3), Suzy Sooyoung's Idol Investigations, the X-rated film Inside Kelly's Rose, and a library of music videos from White Entertainment and KRS Media.
Roseworld+ has also acquired the exclusive rights to Ami's film debut Oops... I Became a K-pop Star! after it was scrapped by Netflix due to music licensing issues.

Tiffany Takeda attends the Seoul Courthouse to officially request legal action for an investigation into the online hate from netizens against herself and Jessica Jiyeon, with the aim of suing and arresting those responsible.
She was joined by her former manager Kelly Rose, who gave an emotional statement to the judge confirming that the online trolling went back over a decade.
"You need to PROTECT these girls!" Rose shrieked. "I've begged the courts to help them for years and you turned me away, but now that Hybe's involved you're listening. You all make me sick!"
As security escorted her out, Rose screamed, "I know exactly who's behind this and they will PAY!"

"KARAMEL released a winter single that topped the charts, but music is not a priority right now and there's been some changes to our team so I'm not sure what's going on with that to be honest."
Tiffany then added, "We're not breaking up but our maknae Ami is promoting with another group and it's made things difficult. So Jessica and I are going to start a special unit with just us, it's called-"
Jessica then cut Tiffany off abruptly.
"We can't announce anything like that officially yet. But Ami is taking a hiatus from KARAMEL because of her various projects. Of course Tiffany and I will release music together at some stage but our individual schedules are busy so it's hard."
Tiffany then shared her own plans for 2024.
"I just made my comeback in Japan and I'm getting lots of offers for projects. But I live in Malibu now and I'm busy with Playboy. People think I'm just a model for them but I'm the Creative Director. I'm also the global ambassador for Thierry Mugler. Tiffany16 stuns for Vogue Japan
Tiffany16, better known by her Korean name Tiffany Taeyeon, has graced the cover of Vogue Japan's January issue. The star wore Thierry Mugler and shot the pictorial on location in her sprawling new Malibu mansion.
"Jessica just bought a place down the block," Tiffany tells Vogue Japan. "Hers is bigger than mine, but I got the best view," she adds with a smile as she gazes out at the blue ocean from her infinity pool.
She says the new digs weren't paid for with her income as a singer, nor from her acting roles or various business ventures, which have included a perfume, a mobile game, and a lingerie line. Instead, she says the multimillion-dollar pad and the Lamborghini Aventador parked in the driveway were bought with money she made as a Playboy 'creator' after taking over from Cardi B as the former magazine's Creative Director In Residence.
For a hefty price, fans and subscribers can access exclusive photos and videos of Tiffany, watch live streams, and even chat to her.
"I've made record labels so much money off my body. I've made a lot of people so much money off my body, and I got the smallest cut off my own body, and my own work, and my own ideas." she explains.
"I don't think that I have to say sorry that I want to commodify my own content. It's been commodified before, and I wasn't even the main fucking benefactor of it. So, now I'm the boss,' she continues.
"I'm someone who has shown my body in music videos and films like The Babysitter. I don't really have a problem with being provocative when I'm in control of it or when I feel it has artistic merit."
Despite her confidence, she becomes frustrated when Playboy is compared to OnlyFans.
"They're nothing alike," she sniffs. "It's more like VLive, WeVerse or Bubble. I'm not doing anything crazy. I released a music video on there, I chat to my fans. It's empowering."
Tiffany's Playboy deal coincided with her joining Thierry Mugler as the French fashion house's latest global ambassador, a move that the brand's director Casey Cadwallader calls symbiotic.
"Mugler is a sexy, edgy brand," Cadwallader tells Vogue Japan by e-mail. "Tiffany understands how to mix sex appeal with high fashion. It was a natural fit."
Sex and fashion aside, Tiffany says she hasn't lost sight of her first love - music.
She just released a new double A-side single in Japan -her first in five years- and is in the middle of recording new songs with her group KARAMEL following their acquisition by Hybe Labels.
"Jessica and Ami are both so busy with their own schedules that the three of us can't even get in the same room together, but we make things work with Zoom meetings," she said.
The trio recorded all the vocals and the music video for their new single separately and left Hybe with the task of putting it all together.
"It sounds amazing, you can't even tell," Tiffany insists. "The song is a ballad and it's honestly the best we've ever sounded. Ami is a much better vocalist than the other girls if I'm being honest."
She starts to share KARAMEL's plans for conquering the English-language market when her phone goes off.
"I'm sorry, we have to wrap this up. I'm supposed to do a live stream on Playboy in a minute and I want to change into something a little shorter," she says, indicating that her Mugler jeans and matching vest are too conservative.
She skips into her bedroom and emerges five minutes later in a swimsuit before announcing that she wants to do the stream from inside her pool.
As we say our goodbyes, we ask how much money she expects to make today.
"Probably $50,000 because I'm only going to show my face, but then I'll get DMs after asking to see my in my swimwear, so once I send those off I should hit about $200,000," she says nonchalantly, as if she's used to exchanging selfies for exorbitant amounts of cash.
She starts to explain that the global popularity of K-pop has earned her fans from around the world, with many writing to her in Arabic and Chinese, before her assistant comes to show us out.
As we leave, we hear Tiffany giggling flirtatiously in the distance.
"Hi guys! I missed you all so much. I'm in the pool, it's so hot today. What are you all doing? No I can't show you my swimsuit, I'm too shy! But if you send me a DM maybe I'll reply but you can't share it with anybody okay? Wow, thanks for the tip Simchan99!"

Ami to make U.S. movie debut in Netflix comedy
KARAMEL and ELZ7UP member Ami will make her acting debut in the comedy "Oops... I Became a K-pop Star!"
Produced by Hybe and co-directed by Nick Cannon (Nickelodeon's Wonder Girls, School Gyrls), the hilarious slapstick comedy follows the character Aymee as she achieves her dream of becoming a K-pop superstar.
The bookish Aymee, a once talented singer, now works in the faculty of a performing arts school in New York after losing her confidence to perform after her mother died on her 15th birthday. She spends all of her free time stanning HYBE artists like BTS and TXT. One day, she attends the open call auditions for HYBE's Dream Academy after reading on social media that Jimin will be a special guest judge. Aymee accidentally ends up auditioning herself and soon finds herself training to become a K-pop idol, but will she be able to overcome her fears to shine on stage?
Oops... I Became a K-pop Star also stars comedian Lilly Singh as Padma, the sassy school principal of the performing arts school where Aymee works, and Joel Kim Booster, the flamboyant Korean choreographer who trains Aymee in the Dream Academy. The film also features cameos from all of your favourite HYBE artists.
In a statement to Deadline, Ami said, "I'm excited to make my American acting debut. I've been working hard to showcase my skills in a variety of areas."
Ami has exploded in popularity in 2023 and was awarded Next Top Star alongside Le Sserafim's Hong Eunchae and RIIZE's Wonbin at the MAMAs. She's topped the charts in the popular girl groups KARAMEL and ELZ7UP, appeared on two seasons of Mnet's Queendom, and is an Asian ambassador for Roberto Cavalli. She made her acting debut in Dear Cinderella, which earned her "Best Guest Star" by international publication Koreaboo.
