The book refuses to take Light’s pen, which works on another sheet of paper. This has the fun consequence of introducing the Death Note as a willing participant in Kira’s murders

It works, but it only forces Danny to go ghost and he’s so sleep deprived he ends up thinking he did it himself on accident and the next day Light sees him and thinks the book broke

Doesn’t work because any of the above, Light learns Danny is trans and uses his deadname (Danielle) and the next thing you know Danny’s little cousin Dani is in town and Also Not Dead

Just Danny doing very normal things (and looking completely normal) but it just ends up like a scene out of a horror movie to people outside of Amity Park. They come into town and see this eldritch monstrosity casually slurping down a smoothie at the speed of light.

Danny just walking down the street? They see a void of darkness, a being that emits an unearthly, ungodly kind of energy, heaving and dragging themselves across the ground. His footsteps are light, but with every gentle step they can feel shaking, like this space of reality is shaking with every step he takes, like their entire being is trembling along with the young boy's movement. They want to move, to run, from this ungodly being charging towards them. But they can't. It's like their feet are stuck to the floor, like a small bug stuck in a spiders web, helpless. Then the boy walks by, he leaves, and suddenly they can move again.

Danny just chatting with Tucker and Sam about the new DOOM update? It's like static in their ears, like never-ending creaking, always lurking in the corners. The sound doesn't stop, it variates, it's like the screams we hear in our nightmares, like the horrifying laugh of a childhood fear, like the tape of the painful memories we can't erase, like the most soul-wrenching horror that comes from the untouchable fears of this world and it gets Louder and Louder the longer you listen, like a hunter catching their prey, the sound gets closer and closer, it prickles at their skin, leaks into their ears like a virus, whispering it's fouls and telling it's lies. It pulls you closer and closer, then it stops. Huh, turns out that Fenton boy left to go get a drink.

Danny doing literally nothing? It's paranoia. Pure, unfiltered paranoia running through their veins. They stare silently, he's not doing anything. Yet. They don't understand the paranoia, as far as their concerned, It's a kid, just a kid. A kid that...looks extremely creepy albeit. But it's just a kid. But somehow they feel fear, an unexplainable, tense, horrifying kind of fear. They don't know why they feel like this, but every time that kid so much as even flinches, the fear that's hidden in within overflows. Much like a dam overflowed with rain water, it feels like it will burst at any moment, or in this case, when that kid does something. They watch the kid, staring intently at its movements. Maybe They should run, it would probably be the smart decision. But they just can't find the strength to, like every fibre of their being is to busy at staring intently at this child then running from the horrors in their heart. They stare and stare, waiting for even the slightest movement. Then a blink, a flash in the eye. And the kids gone.

Danny continues his day as normal, innocently unaware of the absolute chaos he causes to the tourists and outsiders who were just looking for a good time but ends up looking into the face of death.

I think something worth of pointing out about Danny is how often he uses the words ¨I don't want to fight you¨ or ¨I don't want to hurt you¨ to some of his enemies, specially to Valerie Gray.

Danny usually fights his enemies but if he sees that the situation can be solved without resorting to violence, such as being a misunderstanding or his enemies being manipulated, he would chose to see if he can talk them down. This is because Danny is a very empathetic person and is able to understand when someone isn't evil or they don't have bad intentions. He has gained more than one ally this way, like Wolf and Dani.

To be honest, i'm not sure if Danny even enjoys fighting. It feels like it is something he does to defend his town and family or friends more than anything else.

Random idea I had while I definitely should have been sleeping: so in dp fics that lean more heavily on the creepy/ghostly side, Danny’s always eerily quiet, right? Well I have a proposal. Yes Danny moves as quiet as a- well, a ghost, *but* there’s one exception.

He Cannot open a door quietly to save his life. Every single goddamn time he turns the handle, the hinges creak obnoxiously like a damn horror movie. It even happened with a sliding glass door once, and it pisses him off to no end.

I think that Danny being close with his family is actually really important, pre-accident.

At the very least close to his parents. According to Maddie he was a momma's boy. She probably taught him how to dance. Jack showing him proper table manners, and then of course, how to make walrus tusks with straws.

They instill in him a sense of duty and morals, as well as an internal hatred of himself post-accident.

They taught him how to hunt. They taught him where to shoot.

Danny's powers like any horror protagonist is a metaphor for puberty and growing pains, and I think the Fentons need more humanizing moments then just kooky mad scientists.

I would like to say that. unpopular opinion but I hate the "Danny's obsession is protecting people" thing (more & more every day tbh) because it feels very. Weird to me. Selfish almost?

Like, there's never really an explanation given (in fics) as to why, & it always comes off as. Danny isnt protecting people because he wants to, he's doing it because he's forced to, against his will. If he doesn't, he'll die.

whether your intentions are selfish or not doesn't matter to the person you saved but. it also proves the Fentons right. Phantom isn't helping because he's good. He's not helping because he cares. He's helping because he'll die or go insane if he doesn't. & what if there's no one to save? What if there's peace for a bit too long? Does he cause chaos in order to have something to stop? Or does his ghost half just fade away now that his obsession is fulfilled?

I know where it all comes from & I've seen fics based off this that actually go into detail & all that but lately it seems like a headcanon everyone falls back on for seemingly no reason.

why is his obsession "protection?" like what is the point it just seems so random to be reading a fic & then suddenly BAM it's revealed that Danny will go insane & die if he doesn't run around saving everyone for. some reason? and then they move on like it was never mentioned, & it never becomes plot relevant.

I have this new au I can't forget about. So I just read this post about Danny accidentally making cults. So what if when he is in the past, he accidentally makes artifacts.

Danny was not okay. He was lost in an unknown time, in an isolated village. But the good thing is the villagers were actually nice to some weird kid with superpowers, heck they even offered to build him a house, but he declined since he wouldn't stay too long.

He was toying around with his ice powers when he noticed a little girl watching him. He smiled and offered to make something for her.

" Really? I don't really mind anythig" So he made a flower for her. He decided to put more effort and made it so it was always a little bit colder than room temperature.

The girl smiled brightly and ran to show her flustered parents who were thanking him .

"Our god left to fight against the tyrant ten years ago" a lone woman stood on a raised platform. There was a crowd forming.

"He never managed to end the tyrant , but he banished the tyrant from our land and continues to fight, for us and for everyone." She continues with "He is a kind god of doorways, he came to this humble village as a traveler. And he fought off great demons that had plagued us"

A huge crowd was formed. It consisted of her village people and travelers.

"Before he left , he gifted us a sacred artifact." She held up a beautiful ornate flower. She continued on giving her speech.

She did this everyday. And soon a cult was formed for phantom the god of reincarnation, death and rebirth.

She would continue and be remembered as the first head priestess of a cult that will survive countless wars and attacks.

The survival of the cult was the powerful sacred artifact. At first they didn't know the flower held such power, the only interesting fact was no one seemed to be able to melt or break it and it was slightly cold. But still, this was something their god gave them so they prayed to it everyday.

But one day the bandits came. They had no weapons and no ways to defend themselves. The children cried, and the adults fought for their lives.

But they weren't trained so they were fought off and the bandits came to the church the people were bunkered in.

When they finally broke open the doors, the head priestess attacked. She didn't know what she was doing, but she knew she had to atleast try for the children.

She held up the sacred flower and used the sharp point of the stem to try and stab the intruders. But she didn't have much skills in combat and was overwhelmed.

When hope seemed to plummet, the flower in her hands glowed. She desperately tried to fight and to answer her call a big ice spike had skewered the bandits.

All those days of prayers had enhanced the flower. The ectoplasm in it had been molded so it could be used to possess the powers as their patron god. And its fuel source had been the blind hope and the priestess's willpower.

They had used the powers of the sacred flower to expand their cult, and they fully gained control of their valley surrounded by tall mountains.

And every head priestess was chosen by the flower. Only those worthy to use the artifacts claimed ownership of the title.

Deep Freeze

The thing about Danny was that it was always his most easily overlooked powers that were the most dangerous. Who remembers his telekinesis when he never uses it? Or how he chews through metal with teeth that never can decide how sharp they are? But the worst is the ice.

See, Danny can make ice. Most of the time, this is just a neat party trick or a way to slip up fools who try to run, but the thing about his ice is that it absorbs energy. Nothing can break it, and if you try, you’ll find it just gets colder. Left to its own devices, Danny’s ice will grow exponentially colder over time, dropping the surrounding temperature as it goes. The upside is that this could well be the solution to global warming everyone is looking for.

On the other hand, this could also be the thing that finally kills off the human race for good, as ice covers everything it touches, and the temperature drops ever closer to true zero. Even a single patch is a risk of global proportion. The only thing or person who can remove this ice is Danny. This has not stopped him from using it as a coolant in machines.

It's not just the ice, either. See, there is a funny thing about the cold. The further the temperature drops, the more reality starts to act up. Thanks to good old Icotrophic propagation, the colder air gets, the further sound travels. Danny’s voice, therefore, can be heard from impossible distances when he chooses, something his ghostly wail takes full advantage of. Even touching him when he's using his powers can cause instant onset hypothermia, human skin blackening within seconds as the blood supply cuts off. Your muscles cease, and your lungs stop inflating.

The temperature keeps dropping. As he reached absolute zero, the rules of quantum mechanics started to change; superfluids formed, making it seem as if gravity itself froze over, and local atoms began to act as a singular. His body becomes surreal. Forget about the manipulation of gravity. Forget about his ghostly form; just the cryokinesis alone scares the shit out of people.

I really love the idea of throwing Danny and Aizawa into the same ball pit (metaphorically) cause think of that kind of dichotomy.

Aizawa, who is a kind of hail mary when it comes to quirks. But doesn't have a real offensive power like the Todoroki's or Present Mic, etc. And he works with and around that in the most terrifyingly effective way. Not to mention he grew up in and lives in a world where having powers is normal. Where he got a teacher growing up and where he became a teacher to other students.

Danny Phantom who is powerhouse, but has a lot of the same powerset as his enemies do. And he didn't get his more unique abilities right out the gate. He got powers much later than most kids in bnha get theirs and he learned how to use them mostly in action. And maybe he even tried his best learning how to use each power from his villains. He'd see them do something new and untested, or use something familiar in a new and creative way, and he'd mimic them. And sure, sometimes they just had abilities he didn't have. But the point stands, many of his worst enemies have been his best teachers

Danny Phantom might as well be a walking talking Example for everything Aizawa and other pros in the bnha world work to avoid with their students. Aizawa takes one look at him and just sees Oboro. Dead Oboro. The reason he takes such a hard stance with his students in the first place. To teach them not to be reckless. Not to get themselves killed

Take Danny who's thrown into a world with all the support systems he needed when he was first starting out...

And then make him try his damned hardest to hit undo and go home.

Because this world is exactly what Danny Phantom needed, but everything Danny Fenton needs is left behind in Amity Park. His friends. His sister. The life he built despite the odds.

Give him everything he didn't know he needed and put him in a position to reject it

And then show me the bnha pros watching the same thing happening to their students, starting with the attack at the USJ
