when you’re watching the lord of the rings, you don’t really get the full picture of just how insane it is that sam was able to defeat shelob in battle—in the book, tolkien spends literal paragraphs describing how ancient and powerful shelob is, how her skin is so tough that no warrior (NO warrior, like ever !) has been able to pierce it.

like sure sam had the phial of galadriel, but this guy is 3 and a half feet tall with absolutely zero training and he sent shelob crawling back into her little cave with nothing but pure rage. like OMG??? literal chihuahua of hobbits istg

woke: The real hero of LotR was Frodo, who took the ring to mount doom despite knowing it would kill him

bespoke: The real hero of LotR was Sam, who saved Frodo so that Frodo could get the ring to mount doom

egg-yolk: The real hero of LotR was Gollum, who took the ring from Frodo when Frodo succumbed at last to the temptations of the ring and unwillingly destroyed it by casting himself into the fire

artichoke: The real hero of LotR was Bilbo, who took pity on Gollum when Gollum was trying to kill Bilbo, and who taught Frodo that same compassion so that Gollum lived long enough to betray Frodo at mount doom

Actually, I'm not really sure any more that there IS a "real hero" of LotR.

Kinda funny Dadnix-ish Headcanon.

One day Phoenix dragged the WAA to the pool or beach and noticed Apollo was annoyed/bored and just sitting on the side. Phoenix calls him out one this and bugs him until Apollo, still annoyed, Admits he can’t swim….

….The Moment Phoenix found out Polly couldn’t swim, he scooped him up into his arms and then just tossed him in to the water. I mean if it works for babies and little kids, surely it’ll work for a 22/23 year old boy right?….

Wrong, Apollo nearly lost consciousness when Phoenix finalize realized “Okay, yea, he’s not gonna swim” and dived in for him. Polly got to pick where they ate after that because Nick felt bad.

There are probably a lot of errors in this but I’m too tired to care tbh. XP

People think being self aware cancels out mental illness. That when you realise your thoughts or behaviours are irrational you just stop having/doing them

Instead what happens if you're extremely self aware and mentally ill is that you just think in a resigned kind of way "I'm being really fucking crazy right now" while being very loudly mentally ill

Sometimes you are able to tell the people around you "oh, you can ignore me rn. I'm just being extremely mentally ill rn. It will eventually pass" and then continue your erratic behaviour. But mostly it's just privately thinking: "well this is embarrassing but I can't turn it off so just gotta deal with it I guess."

It's infuriating honestly
