Black Dog
Patrick Swayze, as you know is one of my favorite actors. In this particular movie, Black Dog, he portrays a father and husband in a nice town. But, what he doesn't know is that their house is being foreclosed on and he needs about $9,000 to keep the house. He is an ex-trucker who lost his license in the past for vehicular manslaughter and missed two years of his daughter's life and doesn't want to have a repeat. Well, one day at work, his boss calls him into his office and asks him if he would be interested in $10,000 for driving a truck point A to point B. He accepts the offer in order to pay for his house but it results in an interesting journey. Throughout this trip, he runs into some bad guys who are trying to steal the product that is in the truck and he has to fight off dozens of people in order to get his truck where his boss needs it to go. By the end of the trip, his wife and daughter are being held hostage by the boss and Swayze is negotiating the product for his family in return. Moral of the story, the bad guys are caught and sent to prison and Swayze is reunited with his family at last.

Road House
When I was in the seventh grade my mom let me watch the movie Dirty Dancing. The moment I saw him, Patrick Swayze, I was in love. Since that movie I have enjoyed every movie he plays in. I recently rewatched the movie, Road House. In my opinion, this movie has got to be his second best movie he's ever done. Of course, second to Dirty Dancing. Road House is an action movie that will have your blood pressure going every which way. It's about Dalton, a club cooler who starts working at a club in a different town and he isn't very well liked in the beginning because they're not used to his teaching ways. But then, he comes to realize that the boss man, Brad Wesley, bullies everyone in the town into giving him money for his own personal needs. The town gets sick of Wesley's dirty business and eventually puts him in his place and all is well. This is byy far one of my favorite Swayze movies.

The Guardian
Phenomenal. There is no other word to describe this movie. The Guardian has to be my favorite movie of all time. I say this because who doesn't love the Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher duo. Fischer, a student training to be in the coast guard is determined to break all of Randall's record holdings, Randall being top rescue swimmer in the coast guard. What he doesn't understand is that the coast guard isn't about records, its about saving lives. The pair do not start off on the right foot and it takes time for them to build a bond, but when they do, it is unbreakable. They are both similar in so many ways that even they don't even understand. Fischer is the best in his class, just like Randall was during his time. Fischer goes on to work at the same coast guard post that Randall works at. Did this happen by chance? I don't think so. By some unknown act of God, Randall never makes it out of his last dive, and is lost at sea by saving Fischer. Even though he may be gone, he is still in the sea, saving lives.

The Bodyguard
The Bodyguard stars two of my all time favorite celebrities, Whitney Houston (Rachel Marron) and Kevin Costner (Frank Farmer). The movie starts off very slow and comedic and escalates into an action packed love story between a singer and a bodyguard. Frank Farmer is hired to be Rachel Marron's bodyguard. But, little does he know he will have to renovate her entire mansion because of the lack of security. He then hires Rachel's driver to be his assistant. He teaches the driver how to use a gun and how to drive in case of an emergency. Sure enough, Rachel begins to fall in love with her bodyguard Frank which frustrates Frank. He knows that he can't protect her in the way she needs to be protected if they're romantically involved. By the end of the movie, Frank hires Rachel a new bodyguard and Frank goes on to be a bodyguard for the President of the United States.

Identity Thief
This movie right here is hilarious. Now, it does star one of the funniest actors ever known, Melissa McCarthy, who makes the movie ten times better. Just when you think it can't get funnier, in some way it does. The movie follows an accountant, Sandy Patterson, who has his identity stolen by Diana. He goes to extreme lengths to find this woman and when he's found her he connects and builds a bond with her, so when it's time to turn her in, he can't do it because he's gotten to know her and become her friend if not her best friend. But, she knows that he can't turn her in so she turns herself in and then, she goes to prison. Because she is Diana, Sandy's best friend, him and his wife and children visit Diana in prison and talk to her about the simple things in life just as if she wasn't in prison at all.

Waterworld
This weekend I watched this movie named Waterworld. In my opinion this movie was speaking the future because the polar ice caps could literally melt at any point in the next couple of years and flood the entire world because of global warming. However, this movie cost more to make at the time than it made at the box office. In my opinion, this movie should have made millions because of the scenes themselves not to mention, the entire move was filmed in the actual water. This movie also stars Kevin Costner who is a complete hottie especially during the time the movie was made. It is probably one of the best action/sci-fi movies I have ever seen.

Halloween
It's that time of year!!!! The time of year when pumpkins come out and candy begins to appear. This year, for Halloween my family and I watched the original Halloween with Michael Myers. Michael Myers is my favorite Halloween villain. This movie has had so many remakes and I can see why. The movie follows a young boy who kills his sister and is then placed in a mental hospital. He has been diagnosed by many physicians to be emotionless and blank. Well, one night the hospital had some inmates escape and Michael was among the few. You can tell that Michael has been planning this moment for a very long time, considering the fact that every single detail of his night is planned to the tee with all but one mishap. Out of every single kill Michael has made since his mistake, only one person was able to get away, Laurie. Laurie is a teenage girl that resembles much of a sisterly like persona that he becomes obsessed with killing her, seeing as how she is the only one he can't keep from getting away. I guess you'll have to watch the movie and experience this dated film for yourself.

The Devil鈥檚 Rejects
The Devil's Rejects...the title alone doesn't sound very appealing. This movie right here is one of the craziest movies I have ever watched. The word scary doesn't even begin to describe this movie, it's straight out psychotic. I say this because, a family that murders people for fun is not something that should be encouraged. The movie begins with a family of killers and multiple police officers having a shootout at the family's residence. The mother of the family was caught and taken into custody while the other 4 members somehow escape mass shooting. We see that 3 of the members: father, son, and daughter, all get out perfectly safe and the other child is no where to be found. Later on, the family is caught by the lead officer from the shootout and they are all tortured by him, until the brother of the two siblings, Tiny is his name, kills the man with no problem by snapping his neck like a twig. The 3 get away and approach a line of officers, the 3 begin driving towards the blockade, blazing arms of gunfire and get hit multiple times. And yet somehow, with 20 bullet holes a piece, survive the entire incident. I think they named this movie the name they did because the family claims, they are doing the devil's work and to do so they raise chaos everywhere they go.

Grey鈥檚 Anatomy
I've recently restarted an older series that I began watching a while ago and never finished. This show is Grey's Anatomy, a show that every single wannabe doctor, nurse, and surgeon will watch, has watched, or is watching. I for one, want to go to college and then med school to become a world renown doctor. This has been a dream of mine since I was a child. Now, you're probably thinking, you can't possibly learn anything from a tv show? But not every show you find on Netflix or Hulu is a pile of junk, some of those must watch series are educational to a certain extent. You may not learn anything that could save a person鈥檚 life because you haven't had the proper training but along with the medical side of the show there is a life lesson to be learned or gained from each and every episode and sometimes you don't even realize it.

After We Collided
FRIDAY OCTOBER 23!!!!!! That is the day that the sequel, After We Collided was released in the U.S. Now, me and my best friend have been waiting for this movie to come out for ages! When we watched the first one, we both cried like little babies. But, that is only because we want love story happily ever afters. The first movie was absolutely amazing and somewhat similar to the book. On the other hand, the second movie was kind of blocky, and by that, I mean there were a lot of unexplained gaps in scenes that kind of just threw the whole movie off. I've read the entire series and from what I have read, the movie is most definitely not as good as the book but you have to ask yourself, are the movies ever as good as the books?

Trouble with the Curve
This weekend I watched the movie, Trouble with the Curve. Now, I'm not usually into sport movies unless it involves football, however, this baseball movie really caught my attention. This move is about an old man who has been a baseball scout pretty much his entire life. He is getting older and losing his sight and even his hearing. This does not stop him from being able to do his job though. His daughter, a lawyer in the city, assists him with a scouting job in North Carolina. She becomes his eyes and ears for her father, the baseball scout. After a few weeks of watching a certain baseball player for a certain team, it is concluded that he will not be the number one pick for an MLB team. Instead, the son of a motel owner who has been playing baseball since a young age is scouted by the lawyer/baseball scout. She watches him pitch to his little brother and then becomes the catcher for his pitches. She is astounded by his fast ball and his curve ball. So much so, that she takes the initiative to call in her father's boss to ask if they could take a look at this newfound star. The young boy is watched by multiple MLB scouts and CEO's that he becomes the number one pick for Braves. All in all, the best are not always in plain sight, just need to be looked for a little harder.

The 100
The 100 is a series on Netflix that I began watching two years ago. When I first saw the trailer I thought it would be something that wouldn't interest me but when I saw it again I became obsessed with it. They have recently released a new season and my honest opinion is that it wasn't as good as the first couple of seasons. I feel as though they outdid it way too much. The show went from being realistic and suspenseful to being technologically advanced way more than needed. It wasn't terrible, it's just not what I and probably many others thought it would be like. But the most recent season released is said to be the final season. The one thing that they did not disappoint with was tying all of the loose ends up that had been made from the past few seasons. Overall I recommend you check it out sometime.

The Grizzlies
The movie, The Grizzlies, is a movie that I will never forget watching. It follows Russ Sheppard, a recently graduated White teacher from the city who takes what he thinks will be a resume-building task in Kugluktuk, a distant Canadian Indigenous people group. His students are dealing with genuine difficulties, including poverty, hunger, aggressive behavior at home, substance abuse, and homelessness. The Nunavut region is also facing an epidemic of teen suicide. Numerous characters, including teenagers, as often as possible, consume alcohol and smoke both cigarettes and pot. Sheppard falls into "White savior" territory, 聽he wants to "fix" his Inuit students and their community, however his lack of understanding of their way of life prompts desperate results. Eventually, the story sends the message that there's no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution and clarifies the harm individuals can do when they attempt to push their lifestyle onto a new culture. It also celebrates teamwork and sports as a way to increase hope and self-esteem. This movie is hands-down a 10/10 and I highly recommend you give it a watch.

The Prince & Me
This weekend I watched the movie, The Prince & Me. This movie tells a story about a prince, Eddie, who goes to America and enrolls in college to escape from his royal life in Denmark and meets Paige, the American college student. Paige is a premed student who becomes fascinated by Eddie. In spite of Eddie's at first ill-mannered conduct, Paige falls for him, just to find that his mom and dad are the king and queen of Denmark, and he is heir to the throne. As Eddie adjusts to American life, and Paige gets used to her boyfriend being a future king, the two must decide if their relationship is strong enough to last. This is one of my favorite rom-coms I have seen by far.

The Vampire Diaries
The Vampire Diaries is your classic vampire love story. This show is almost a cliche. Your girl meets a really cute boy who turns out to be a vampire. Ironically, the boy has an older brother who also happens to be very attractive vampire. The difference between your normal vampire love story and this one, is that the girl doesn't want to be turned. In fact, she wants to be alive and be able to live a very happy and long life. The brothers are both so in love with the girl that they would do anything, even risk their own life, to protect hers. 聽
