I was practicing character design by drawing an antho based on a King Eider, a kind of sea duck.

I still don't know if I'm going to do anything else with him, but it was good practice none the less.

Pronouns: He/They

Personaily: He loves to learn and he is quiet spritied. They can be shy towards strangers though. However, behind his happy go lucky exterior, they has a lot of insecurities about himself and their relationships with others. This side of him becames more apparent when he gets older.

Likes: His family and friends, Animals(their presence helps calm his cosmo), nature, pulling pranks(more so when he was younger), playing guitar(especially for his animal pals), praticing marital arts, listening stories from his dads.

Dislike/Fears: His cosmo, feeling abandoned, being ostracized, losing control and hurting others, the chores that Shiryu makes them do(he pefers learning marital arts itself, then running errands). 

Bio:

Named after the Longma (Dragon Horse) from Chinese Myth, he was adopted by Seiya and Shiryu when they found him abandoned as a baby. He was born with excess amount of cosmo(similar to Shun) which they couldn’t control. He tries to repress it in fear of hurting others, along with their trauma towards being abandoned as a baby. However, the harm of repressing cosmo, makes him recognize the importants of accepting it, and finding ways to learn how to work with it.

Some notes:

I’ve changed the ages because the canon ages don’t make much sense. For example, Seiya lives on his own, Shiryu and Hyoga can drive, and Shaina(who’s suppose to be 16) has a little sister who was arrested 10 years ago. I made them young adults, because in my stories, I write them with this kind of level of emotional maturity.

Seiya and Shiryu both share the chores around the house. They agree that it’s important for them to share household responsibilities. Seiya sometimes has trouble remebering when and what chores he needs to do. So they decide to keep a list on the figde to help Seiya to remeber.

However, Shiryu does most of the cooking. Sometimes, Seiya is worried that Shiryu will become homsick. So he got some recpice books for Jiangxi Cuisines’ to help Shiryu feel at home. The results are...mixed... but Seiya is getting better and better with each attempt.

Shiryu tries to keep his feelings to himself when he feels vulnerable, so it’s easy for others to miss. However, Seiya knows Shiryu very well, which why he can pick up the subtle changes of Shiryu’s mood.

Shiryu expresses jealously inwards. Seiya would try to hide his jealously from Shiryu because he doesn’t want to hurt Shiryu’s feelings. However, Seiya can be quite moody and is prone to venting to his other friends. Headcanon is infulenced by this scene.

Seiya tends to confess first. This is because Shiryu wants to take his time to make sure the timing is prefect. Seiya on the other hand, wants to tell Shiryu as soon as he has a chance.

The expection is during a casual conversation, Shiryu asked Seiya if he wants for them to get married after the Holy Wars is over. Seiya said “of course, do you!?” Seiya refer to this period as their “semi-engagement”.
