ngl i didn’t read all this. there’s something super gross about someone defending pedopholia with their whole heart, even in fiction.

also, just because he was waiting for her to be 18 doesn’t make it any better. a grown man waiting around for a minor to be of legal age? Gross.

Like I said, there are aspects of their relationship that I like that you mentioned here. But, you could get the same affect WITHOUT a student-teacher relationship. Kyoko didn’t have to be 15. Or Katsuya could have been more her age. Doesn’t matter, the point is there didn’t have to be that disgusting ass age difference to get all of what Takaya wanted us to feel/see from their relationship.

and pedohiples in real life literally use that defense about how they were in ‘love’with a minor not because of the age and blah blah blah and If you can’t see how that’s wrong, I don’t know what to tell you man.

you can love a story and STILL criticize it for being problematic. the relationship between Katsuya & Kyoko is hella problematic, like she was still a minor when they got together.

it literally does not matter that they were ‘soulmates’ or whatever like he was still a GROWN man that thought it was okay to start a relationship with someone who was, what, 14? 15?

there are elements that i really like about their relationship but it’s hard to look past that age gap. it’s kinda super gross and honestly kind of dangerous material

what she means: carl grimes is a symbol of hope, survival and rebirth. he is more than just rick's son. he's supposed to beat this world. he's survived being shot twice, shooting his mother and shane, watching sophia be revealed as a walker, watching numerous people that he loves be killed in front of him, being sexually assaulted, ptsd and being permanently disabled. carl has survived more than nearly everyone on the entire show. for him to be killed off is heartless and unfair but if chandler wanted to leave, i don't blame him, considering that gimple doesn't give a single fuck about carl and doesn't understand his importance. carl found his humanity again after having so much taken away from him. he cares so much about the people he loves and would do anything to protect them. his relationships with women are the foundation of so much of his strength and kindness. he believes that there's still good in the world and that we always have hope. his character arc is so inspiring and empowering. carl grimes deserves better.
