Used my airbrush quite a bit to shade and blend elements. This brand of illustration board isn’t as sturdy as the other brands I use (Crescent or Bainbridge), resulting in some mild warping. Fleshed out the “chest-sliding” Spinosaurus idea I’ve been playing around for a few years now. Last week’s news made me want to return to the idea. I added a dead sauropod that got stuck in the mud that the Spinosaurus is going to feed on. In order to avoid the same fate, he’s spreading out his weight over the muddy surface, similar to the belly-sliding crocodiles around him. I’m in favor of Spinosaurus being a biped on land, this is just a hypothetical method of locomotion for certain conditions. The idea came about when I saw a video of someone feeding an American crocodile on a muddy bank.
