So I finally finished TOTK!

And wow, what a ride!

Also hi! Long time no see....again...again :^)

Meant to make a post when I first got the game but the moment I popped the cartage in I couldn't put it down.

Like, called into work sick, muted phone notification, and locked myself in my room with snacks for a week couldn't put it down.

This game was so much fun, and fix a lot of issues I had with BOTW with a good chunk of surprises to top!

Just wished one of my personal predictions came true, like unbreakable or lightsaber master sword, but hey, I’ll take what I can get. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

that said I still have a few gripes with the game. And aside from the 2 really cool things that happen in the story (if you know you know) I still feel like the narrative was kinda weak all things considered :/

Almost weak enough to warrant the revitalization of a piacular fan comic?...

But all in all I had a good time with the game and highly recommend!

Well would ya’ look at that! it’s a new year and I actually managed to post something here!

Hey everyone! I’m back again to drop my yearly Zelda fanart and then disappear for who knows how long :,)

Actually to tell the truth I’m working on a project with a friend of mine and one of my sketches I did for it inspired me to do this piece. I've been doing a bunch of different stuff lately but this particular project has reminded me how much I love the Zelda games.

So who knows, I might just start posting here properly again after TOTK drops ;)

Still not gonna knock Twilight Princess out of the #1 spot for me but I’m eager to see it try lol

hey guys!

I was planning on making some Holly Jolly fan art stuff of Christmas, but the cold weather season bug hit me a few days before Christmas did so thats lame. :/ Straight up feel like I’ve spent more time asleep than awake this week.

So I’m paying Hyrule Warriors AOC right...

Yo This story is pretty freakin cool, but its gotta be hella uncanon with how ridiculous one of the major plot points is lol. Still, I got a lot of this game left to finish and even though it ain’t DMC5 combat it’s still that lovely hack and slash Warriors action I keep commin’ back for. :)

Also I don’t know if Nintendo is making young Impa canon but I love love LOVE this version of her. Her combat is oddly satisfying, her voice actress is delightfully spot on and even though I really didn’t think much of it at first I’m really digging her design.

Honestly didn’t expect to enjoy her so much, she’s fantastic. :)

and speaking of unexpected enjoyment...

I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned this but I have this unexplainable soft spot for the Gorons in Zelda. Maybe its because there the equivalent to gung-ho Barbarians but whatever the reason I’m overjoyed that we get to see more of Daruk’s contagious personality.

Like, I know these screenshots won’t do him justice but...

I just...

I love him.

he’s great. :)

Kinda makes me look back at BOTW and wonder why they promoted the champions so hard but barely gave us a hand full of interactions in the base game. Heck, we got amiibos and a straight up DLC focusing on them and it still didn’t feel like enough.

I love BOTW but man did it leave me wanting in soooo many areas, so I’m especially thankful for this game and looking forward to whatever we’re getting in BOTW2. :)

Anyways, I know I’m kinda late to the AOC party but I hope people are still enjoying this delightful game. :^)

Ah yes, the question on everybody's mind...

Hmmmmm...

Well first off, I just wanna say that I am absolute flattered that so many people like my comic enough to fill my inbox with questions about it.

Really I didn’t think it would resonate this well with so many people like it has, and every so often I think on weather I should pick up the pieces and give it another shot.

It kills me that I left it the way I did, but I’d be lying if I said that it wasn’t stressing me out trying to get the next handful of pages finish with each upload getting further and further away from each other with less to show for it.

I want to continue it, really I do.

But there's a lot of stuff that’s keeping my hand, and with the release of Age of Calamity and the up coming BOTW 2 I don’t know if the story is even worth telling anymore.

When I wrote the story (the first time) I wanted to give a better ending to both TP Link and BOW Link while doing my best to keep it as lore friendly as possible. At the time Nintendo had left almost all of the main line Zelda games open ended and I wanted to offer some form of satisfying closer if it only being in the form of a fanfiction. So I put a lot of time into double checking myself while writing, and even after I lost the first script I was still determined to make the story feel like it could belong and offer something more than a wish fulfillment fan fiction.

But then Nintendo actually followed up and gave us more BOTW Zelda, and as excited as I was I couldn't help but feel like my story was immediately made obsolete.

I had written it to where it only really makes sense if BOTW Link’s story ends in the first game and Now I simply don’t know how to proceed.

So as it stand now I just don’t know.

I though about waiting until BOTW2 comes out and building the story to work with that and AOC, but who knows how far off that is or if I could even make it work at all.

However, I have gotten a lot of suggestions to do mini comics where its just TP and BOW doing whatever in the world of BOTW Hyrule.

I do like that idea, and it might be what I end up doing to salvage the comic. But still for the time being I just don’t know.

Again I can not thank you all enough for all of the support you have shown me. I genuinely don’t feel like I deserve it because you guys are the best.

I don’t want to make any promises, but I’m hopeful for the future.

A lot of you were asking me for my thoughts on the game and I probably should have made clear that I have haven't actually played it yet.

If it plays anything like the last Hyrule Warriors and has a thick emphasis on pre-Calamity story then I'm probably going to really enjoy this. :)

BUT!...

If I can't use my wolf link amiibo to play as wolf link then I'm giving it a 0/10 lol

The Hero’s Bond final update

Hey everyone, it’s me Amos.

Okay, So…. Here's the deal…

I’ve got some bad news, and It's about the comic.

I'm pretty sure you can guess what's coming next, but don’t worry there is some good in here just hear me out.

It's been something I have struggled with for a while now and I had to finally sit myself down to think things over and I’ve come to this decision.

I’m no longer working on the hero’s bond comic.

It's been a long time coming and I thought I could beat the odds and power through. But I simply can’t work on it enough to finish it within a reasonable amount of time anymore. And even if I took my time to finish it, it still would take way too long.

When I first started it, it was just line art with gradient fill coloring and I had all kinds of time and ideas. It was a lot of fun and it felt like I was really going somewhere with it.

But with each passing year and all the things that have utterly derailed the comics progress it became clear that fully finishing this was never in the cards.

I did a lot of bending for this comic. Like way more than I reasonably should have.

I’ve stayed up whole nights working on it, worked entire weekends on it, fought past the crashes that destroyed 2 hours of work every other day, heck I even called in sick to work a few times to work on it, all of that so I could painstakingly upload it to tumblers dash on my slow shotty wi-fi.

All of it was because I wanted to.

And for a while it felt like it was worth it.

To get my ideas out into the world and show support for a series I love with people who feel the same. Seeing you guys love the comic was an amazing feeling and all I wanted to do was work harder on the next one and 1-up myself.

And if things had worked out like I planned, it totally would have been one massively fun project. But like most things, life gets in the way.

In the span of this comic I’ve been through 4 different jobs and some very soso online work.

As fun as it was to do the comic it wasn’t putting gas in my car or food on the table and it was drawing a lot of my focus. Even with my efforts to justify the time spent on working on it nothing was really coming of it.

I couldn’t work on the comic at work and I couldn't stay up all night anymore so my options were limited.

But I still wanted to do it, so I forced myself to do it every chance I got.

I started a patron, I gave myself hard deadlines, I reused assets, cut corners, made myself give you guys updates to keep me striving for something to show for it.

But I had to face facts, I simply didn’t have the time and couldn’t make the time for it anymore.

And so it eventually devolved into this.

I never wanted it to end like this, and it stinks that I have to tell you this way. But I honestly don’t know how else to put it.

I’m sorry I let you down.

So where does that leave us?

Well for one I’m surely not leaving you on a mid story cliffhanger. I’ve read enough online comics to know how much it sucks to have a story left unfinished with complete radio silence from the creator.

I plan on making a video or posting rough panels here detailing how the story would have played out and ultimately ended.

I would have posted the entire script, but that is unfortunately forever locked away in my flash drive that not even the professionals can crack and retyping it from memory would take forever.

You deserve better and I wish I was able to give it to you. You guys have been nothing but great to me and for that I simply can’t express my gratitude enough.

Also, to the people who signed up and supported my Patrion you guys went above and beyond for me and that's something I simply can’t forget or thank you enough for. I honestly didn’t think anyone would sign up but you guys did and to this day I’m still floored by it.

But seeing how I've given you next to nothing back it doesn't feel right to just let things sit.

I’m still not entirely sure how Patron operates but I want to refund you your money. I feel awful for not delivering anything worthy of value and it doesn't feel right to simply take it.

So please message me so we can set something up.

It was fun while it lasted guys.

I’ll still be around, and I’ll still do little mini comics and art stuff. But this project of mine is pretty much over.

Just know that it was you guys that kept me going this whole time.

quick update (outta nowhere)

hey guys!

so real quick I just wanted to let you guys know that I started a new job a few weeks ago and so far ts been going pretty good!

And yes, I’m not dead :)

that said, the comic is still deep in the works. it’s just been harder to really find time to cram it into the scheduled lately.

* this is all I managed got done on my lunch break toady :/ *

I meant to upload something when I started this new job but I simply didn’t have the time at the time.

sorry bout that :/

But seeings how I can’t sleep at the moment I figured now’s the best chance I got to give you the deets.

thing are starting to chill out a bit though so who know, I might just finish this thing after all. lol

TL:DR;

* I started a new job

* I am alive

* I’m still working on the comic

* Everything is fine for the most part

* No Idea when I’ll be done with it (like usual)
