✨6/15/2020, Week 13 of the 2020 Quarantine Challenge✨
Tumblr media
✨Mon✨- Are you usually early or late?:
Not sure if this is asking if I’m a night owl or an early riser or if I make it to class early or late so I’ll answer both!~
I used to have 8 AM classes when I was going to school in the spring so I’d have to be an early riser and tbh, I absolutely a d o r e d waking up early because I loved rising with the sun and I always made it to class 20 early because I always feared about being late 😅

✨With most schools, colleges and unis closed around the globe and most studyblr students now having school at home I thought I would create a challenge to help everyone stay focused and productive and also to connect with people so even though most people are self-isolating, we don’t feel lonely✨
✨Info✨
Because no one really knows when we’re going to be able to go back to schools and I know it will depend very much on where you live, I’m going to do a month of daily ‘challenges’ starting on Monday 23rd March 2020 but if the quarantine keeps going I’ll try to add as the weeks/months go on
I want to see what y’all are posting so please use the tag #2020 quarantine challenge and I’ll track this tag and reboot as much as possible!
On this note, I will reblog basically everything even if you don’t think it is ‘aesthetic’ cause I love seeing how everyone does their notes and stuff so please get involved 💕
✨Week 1 - Questions✨
Mon - Have you made a study schedule to help you study at home?
Tue - How are you being taught your lessons? (google classroom, teams etc.)
Wed - What’s your favourite study snack?
Thu - How are you keeping active?
Fri - What is your favourite subject/topic to study at the moment?
Sat - Where in your house is your favourite place to study?
Sun - What are you doing to relax?
✨Week 2 - Pictures✨
Mon - Take a picture of your desk/study space
Tue - Take a picture of the book you are currently reading
Wed - Take a picture of your most colourful notes
Thu - Take a picture of the pens/highlighters that you could not live without
Fri - Take a picture of the view outside your window
Sat - Take a picture of a meal you’ve cooked or something you’ve baked
Sun - Take a picture of some of your art or doodles
✨Week 3 - Questions✨
Mon - What is your favourite food to cook or prepare?
Tue - If you could go anywhere in the world for a week, where would you go?
Wed - What is your biggest goal for this year? Have you done anything so far to achieve this?
Thu - What is the song that makes you happy no matter what?
Fri - What is your favourite TV programme at the moment (on Netflix etc)?
Sat - Where is your favourite place in the world (eg a city you’ve been to, a restaurant, or a particular hiking spot)?
Sun - What is your favourite joke?
✨Week 4 - Tips advice ✨
Mon - What is your biggest tip for staying focused?
Tue - What is your biggest tip for not getting cabin fever?
Wed - What would be your advice to you from five years ago?
Thu - What is the best advice you’ve ever been given (e.g. from a teacher of friend)?
Fri - What is your biggest tip for organising your study space/study materials?
Sat - What is your best tip on how to relax?

✨This is the first month but I might add to this later as the quarantine continues. Let’s all support each other through this difficult time✨

4/100
I'm doing research for my thesis, I should be graduating this semester. Tbh I struggle with staying productive and I kinda developed the habit to stay in bed and watch dramas/ series or be on social media. I want to break that habit. So here we go again.
Goals:
- Writing my professor an E-Mail
- overview of my Bachelor's thesis
I know, the picture had to be taken afterwards.

Studying is so unnecessarily hated, so can just appreciate the sheer aesthetic of studying?
Waking up early and drinking green tea with textbooks on your lap as light spills in through the open windows. Laying out post-its and notebooks and coloured pens as you begin to write colour coordinated notes for each subject. Having textbooks and notebooks spread out all over your desk with your laptop in the center, as you make powerpoint presentations for each chapter. The feeling of scribbling down formulae that you pin up all over your walls, creating a colourful display of knowledge in your room. Having a binder filled to the brim with detailed diagrams with annotations and post-its all over them.
And if you’re chaotic and messy and disorganised? That’s equally aesthetic!
Having pinned your hair up in a messy bun as you sit on the floor, surrounded by open binders that have pages upon pages of notes spilling out of them. Sticking your pencil through that bun because you can’t find your rubber band and then cursing two minutes later because where is my pencil it was right here. Piles of used coffee cups and plates from the hundreds of different snacks that have just piled up in your room. Messy diagrams sellotaped to the bookshelves because you can’t find any of your notebooks. Random pieces of information scribbled on the cuff of your jeans because there’s no more space on your arms and you can’t find a spare bit of paper. That one page of notes that you made that was actually informative and organised before it trailed off into three pages of doodles.
Studying is aesthetic. And the aesthetic of studying is a fucking great motivator to start doing it.

✨Week 10 - Languages✨
Sun - What is the most important phrase in your native language that someone should know?
I’ve thought about this a lot. If I would know just one phrase in any language it would be “I don’t understand the language”. Think about, with just that you can communicate that you can’t communicate. So in Hindi you your say “मैं हिंदी नहीं समझता” (main hindee nahin samajhata), which directly translates to “I don’t understand Hindi”.

Week 10 of My 2020 Quarantine Challenge!
✨ Fri ✨ What is your favourite idiom? (in any langauge)
i’m not actually sure if this technically counts as an idiom but its something that we say where i live: i’ll be there now in a minute
it bascially means that you’ll do something/come very soon but not immediately. when you actually think it through it mades NO SENSE but i genuinely say this and i didn’t get it from TV or anything its just part of how i speak
if you’ve ever watched gavin and stacy (if you havent you need to cause it is god tier), you might know this phrase cause they make fun of it 😭

I think I’m going to have to say Italian. It just flows so smoothly and just has such a relaxing vibe with it

Week 10 of My 2020 Quarantine Challenge!
✨ Thu ✨ What do you think is the best sounding language?
ok so this is probably going to be an unpopular opinion but i honestly think german sounds SO nice and is not at all the extremely harsh sounding language that is caricatured in english speaking countries/tv
also i think thai sounds really melodic 🎶 and pretty
