Identity is illusory, but you can call me he/it. He for sexual and aesthetic purposes, it because I am a body.
Diagnosed with Aspergers as a child, now trying to free myself of pathology.
Egoist anarchist communist with some anti-civ leanings. Pro animal liberation, youth liberation, fat liberation, mad liberation, permaculture, low-tech and degrowth.
Will occassionally post about Doctor Who, Ikuhara anime and whatever media I'm obssessing about at the moment.
I like writing and acting and I'm getting into fixing clothes and knitting.
If you have any tips on practical green anarchist living, DM me.
If you're a bear, DM me.
No moral purity here, anyone can interact.
apparently one whale years ago was observed doing this for hours and now more and more whales in the area are seen copying it so we think it’s a whole new behavior and it seems to be a response to shrinking food sources.
Instead of expending any energy actively hunting, the whale just holds its mouth open wherever fish are being hunted by birds. To escape the birds, the fish try to hide in the whale’s mouth because it’s a darker area that looks like shelter.
…They’re turning into giant, sea-mammal pitcher plants.
honestly fucking fascinating that people will pretty universally understand that thin people can be naturally predisposed to thinness regardless of what they eat or their activity level, but that so many of the same people cannot possibly fathom that fat people could have similar dispositions or that there could be any factors more complex than a "lack of self control."
routinely pissed that citizen kane isn't apart of the "old blorbo" tumblr lore.
like you've got dracula and you've got the great gatsby so why of fucking WHY aren't we taking the piss out of citizen kane??
yes, it is pretty overhyped for what it is but JESUS CHRIST is it a GOOD fucking movie with amazing direction, story, characters, cinematography and the whole fucking film was a hit-piece against thr tycoons of the era!
outside of allll the praise it gets, if you watch it without knowing that it's considered "the greatest film ever made" it'll still be a fucking amazing watch.
it isn't too long, either.
i want people making citizen kane memes. i want people making edits comparing the fall of elon musk to the fall of charles foster kane. i want people taking the absolute piss out of orson welles AND i want to see more reaction gifs from the film outside of the classic:
i want people to make shitposts and jokes and comics of the characters and for people to admire the film as both a work of art and something we can goof about the same way we goof about dracula or kafka like.
i want people to love this movie as much as i do. i want people to hold and cherish the love that was put into this film. it's a masterpiece and thus it should be treated as one in the most tumblr way possible.
so please. if you haven't, go watch citizen kane. you will not regret it. ever.
I really wish going outside and touching grass was everything it's cracked up to be but every time I try to do it I come across people who think stuff like emotional labor is remembering to schedule time for your kids and SO or that gaslighting is the same as lying or neurodivergent is when you have hobbies and like soft blankets and I get the exact same type of psychic damage I'd get from just scrolling social media except that I can't just scroll away from people in the wild
I saw a post the other day trying to dunk on someone by saying "You will never see anarchy during your lifetime."
At the risk of sounding trite, I think we all see anarchy during our lifetimes, in those (admittedly and increasingly rare) moments when we're free from coercion and drudgery and can enjoy freedom and comradeship. I would almost go as far as to say that seeing anarchy in our lifetimes and wanting to see more of it is what makes people become anarchists
yall do realize just because something has been a target of misogynistic criticism, that doesn't make stanning it completely uncritically in response some kind of revolutionary feminist praxis. right.
Former president of the United States, Donald Trump, has expressed his view that Israel must “finish the problem” in its war on the Gaza Strip, suggesting that the Occupation state should double down on its war crimes and genocidal acts against the Territory’s Palestinian population.
In an interview on Fox News on Tuesday, Trump was asked about Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza, to which he responded that “You’ve got to finish the problem” and claimed that Israel “had a horrible invasion that took place that would have never happened if I was president.”
Despite avoiding giving an explicit answer on whether a ceasefire should be declared in Gaza, the former president’s comments are the most direct and definitive expression of his position regarding Israel’s brutal offensive on the besieged Strip.
