Wanna thank @ghostigoo for asking me why I dislike Giorno, but I’ll just write it out here cause of more writing space/less of a word limit but I genuinely fucking HATE the canon ending of how it was handled in 8 days. Not multiple weeks, not months or years, but a mere fucking WEEK AND SOME CHANGE, 192 hours and your telling me that Giorno managed to convince a team fiercely loyal to the boss that has HELPED them out and gave them a better (just intimidating) life to betray a man that would have gotten you killed faster than a show down in the olden days? I call bullshit. I genuinely love Doppio and Diavolo, I think they should’ve won and even if they didn’t, I want Trish to react NEGATIVELY towards Giorno for basically getting rid of a potential parent that would have adored her (Doppio) that could have managed the other parent (Diavolo) to tolerate their own daughter and I think she should’ve punched Giorno’s lights out, after all, a girl’s rage is stronger than a guy’s. I also hate how everyone claims that Giorno was stronger than the boss when Diavolo was one hell of an opponent that was fearless and mysterious for 15 years and I would rather Giorno losing because a mere 15 year old wanting to change the whole mafia lifestyle from the inside out would’ve gotten him attacked by the Bucci gang. I get why Giorno was trying to change it, kids doing illegal stuff that’s harmful to their body is bad, I get where he’s coming from, everyone was traumatized in a way, especially Bruno, the man hated the drug game but respected the boss because who gave him money for his father’s medical bills? Who gave him a home and job at 12? Who even bothered to let him work for him? I feel like Vento Aureo would’ve been completely different if the others looked at Giorno was crazy for that idea. And no, don’t include La squadra, they were doomed from the start too, they were already on thin ice from the shit Sorbet and Gelato pulled two years ago prior to the story so even if Risotto and his little gang of buddies did want to work together with the Bucci gang or not, they’re fucked. Like part 5 is my favorite and there’s a TON of characters I love but everything about its pacing is fucking stupid and Diavolo and Doppio nearly winning before dying pissed me off greatly so I just love writing Doppio and Diavolo wrecking Giorno’s shit (Gianna if it’s fem!Giogio) but yeah, in short it’s basically “if Giorno never bothered to join Passione or never existed, then no one would die and lose their loved ones in 8 days total.” Except for Bruno, he was doomed to die from the beginning because of Scolippi’s stand predicting his future demise and Giorno joining in on that, while Mista was beating on the poor artist, basically got more than what they bargained for. Again, I love part 5 and a lot of characters, but the whole plan and ending was a suicide mission that only succeeded on pure LUCK with the odds so fucking slim, you can roll that with a blade of grass.

This is from an old note I made last year but I always referred to Doppio as “The Sun” (also a Supernova in some of my works) while Diavolo was referred to as “The Moon” and Trish would be “The Star” (as in tarot meanings) but in a series I made while following the ending of Vento Aureo’s story, Trish has a daughter that she names Aceto Una, who’s a reincarnation of her grandparents (more of Doppio really since Diavolo is in the death loop) and Trish a calls her daughter, Aceto, her little “Star” and considers her to be a “Supernova” as well but Aceto also reacts like an “Eclipse” due to a particular incident and because Doppio and Diavolo were two sides of a coin before they were separated, showing their bond and how they worked, therefore Diavolo and Doppio were both a Supernova and Eclipse in their life.
