That’s our bad, I guess there’s been a misunderstanding

I didn’t realize:

- “love at first sight” is just a joke

- celebrity crushes are a joke

- characters from shows and movies being one’s sexual awakening aren’t actually a thing

- people don’t actually ask their friends to set them up on dates

- everyone had formed a friendship with their current partner months/years before ever viewing them in a romantic light

- the idea of dating someone you’ve been friends for years with is normalized and not viewed as potentially ruining the friendship

- that whole “I’m in love with X, but they don’t even know I exist” thing is made up

- the whole “X changed their look and I find them hot now” is also made up

- flirting with strangers isn’t a thing

- asking out someone you just meant isn’t a thing

- blind dates aren’t a thing

- one night stands are complete fiction

- no one has ever been turned on by a stranger

- “sex sells” is a complete lie, no one really knows why those women are washing those cars in bikinis, it’s a weird choice of clothes

Make ace headcanons, include asexual characters in your stories, support ace fans, don't erase existing ace rep, call out aphobic or amatonormative writing on your shows and make ace people feel welcome! omnisexuality is beautiful. it is all-encompassing. it is natural. it is love incarnate. omnisexuality has its roots deep in queer culture. omnisexuals have always been here. we have always existed. even implying otherwise is insulting. we are more than just a “microlabel”. we are more than just a phase. omnisexuality is one of the most pure sexualities in the universe, and i’m sick of people acting as if it’s “problematic”. what’s so problematic about being your true, uncensored self? what’s so problematic about love without boundaries? omnisexuals deserve better, from both allocishets and queer folx.

If you don’t mind, what is aegosexual?

Oddly enough, I don’t think I’ve ever been asked to put this in my own words so here’s my chance!

So!

The best definition or way that I would explain aegosexual is liking the idea of sex but having no desire to participate in sexual activities. It’s feeling sexual feelings, but being totally good with just either ignoring them or taking care of it yourself.

Or, the best perhaps, is channeling those feelings through a fictional character (either one in existence or that you have made up yourself) who experiences those sensations so that you do not have to!

I also feel very uncomfortable when people start talking about sex in conversation. Yet have no problems thinking about it or writing in a story. I’m a daydreamer and the character who is most like me (my parame) has sex frequently.

I’m about to turn 22, I’ve never had a significant other, I don’t see it in the near future and would be totally fine if I never had sex in my life, so… there’s that.
