Nancy Drew is a children/teen book series. So I’m not a fan of adaptions making her more mature and sexualized. I know she’s not perfect, human girl and has flaws and she’s independent and makes choices that’s fine. Its like if someone took your childhood and took your innocence away. I want to picture her as a young girl. I don’t need to know what happened when she grew up. I know she matured and dated or got married, team Frank Hardy, but let’s keep her a teen girl detective. Peter Pan never grew up and children’s books don’t.

When you confront Louis he apologized for not replacing it. And tells Nancy he will apologize to Rose. He doesn’t blame Charlie, but he probably did it on purpose to cause more accidents. He burned documents that were important probably
Ok so I just thought of something:
Rose told Nancy that the fire department said the fire in the parlor was started from a spark from the fireplace, and that Charlie was supposed to buy a screen. Then Louis tells Nancy that Charlie bought the wrong one and made him return it.
Could Louis have lied to Charlie, started the fire in the parlor, and used the fireplace screen as a way to divert blame to Charlie so his actions would go unnoticed?
