"what? what did i-" you feel your face heat from embarassment.

"i know what it is..." you try to reach for it, but he holds it away. "i just want to help you."

"help me? i don't need your help, (y/n)." he grabs at your hair, pulling you off your chair to the ground. you yelp in pain as his fingers tangle in your hair and yank at your scalp. "why would they hire you? what qualities do you have that they would want? you're an idiot, a fucking idiot. you can barely cook a decent meal without my help." his voice was laced with venom. you feel tears slip down your face.

"i'm sorry." you meekly whisper. "you're right, i'm too stupid." you choke out a sob. he smiles before shushing you, letting go of your hair. he sits down next to you and pulls you into a hug. you melt into his touch.

"it's okay, that's why i'm here. to take care of you."

but the parallels in mark beating angstrom to death and nolan beating up mark was CRAZYYY

it literally broke my heart when it registered for him that he killed a guy like (i think) that asshole went to the only universe where mark is good fucking person who refuses to kill and makes him a killer.

for the superfam, i feel like they would be able to know when ur sick cuz yk xray vision heat sensor eyes and all that. plus fortress of solitude would have the technology to heal human illnesses (like how in superman & lois, they technically had the tech to cure lois’s cancer but didnt cuz… morals or wtv😒)

for the batfam, all of them have a basic knowledge of illnesses and stuff cuz yk theyve been through it, but for more serious cases, bruce relies on dr. leslie thompson. i feel like she def has an allegiance towards bruce and she’d rather just take care of u rather than let u suffer. she wouldnt snitch cuz she is one of the batfam’s allies and she believes u keep them from going absolutely batshit (lol) insane

warnings: kidnapping, torture via fear gas, scarecrow is a bad guy, slight stockholm syndrome, yandere but also at the same time its scarecrow.... so its just him ig, lmk if i missed anything!

this was a request sorry this is so late baddie

every day was torture.

“deep breath in.” his low, dark voice sent tingles down your spine. you used to fight against him, but you couldn’t tell day or night anymore. you didn’t have the fire in you anymore. “come on, sweetheart. open your eyes for me.” you sluggishly open your eyes and see his piercing gaze full of unsettling curiosity. “good, good.” he uses his fingers to pry your eyelids open and shine a light in. it vaguely reminds you of going to the doctors. you hear the click of a recorder before he starts to speak. “three. eighteen. eight. twenty-six. subject has red eyes and dilated pupils. the fear gas is working as intended every night, but with more exposure, more resistance is building. a stronger strain needs to be created for the plan to work.” he puts the light away and releases your eyelids. you watch as he walks out of your sight.

you call out, weakly, “help…” hoping someone will hear your weak cries, but just like yesterday and the day before, no one comes to your aid. you let your eyes close before taking a deep breath. you use up all of the energy you have left in you to scream, “HELP M-” a hand slaps painfully against your mouth, effectively shutting you up.

“now now, darling…” he presses his mouth into a thin line. “this kind of behavior is not… tolerated here. not after all the work it took to find us a quiet place to work.” you can hardly see through your tears. his hand leaves your mouth to your waist, rubbing comforting circles into your skin. you let him touch, desperate for a kind touch. you lean into his touch, letting your forehead fall onto his shoulder. you hear a dark chuckle and mumbling, “interesting. so… needy.” he smirks, hand moving to your waist to your hair.

“doctor…” you whimper as he pets your hair.

“yes, darling?” he whispers into your ear.

“please let me go home…” you whisper. his hand stops moving. it drifts from your hair to your neck, slowly tightening.

“what did you say?” you hear irritation in his voice.

“please dr. crane-” you couldn’t get the words out as he tightens the hand around your throat. you choke, hands flying to free your neck. you kick, but he climbs on top of you, holding your legs down.

“how many times do i have to tell you that this behavior is not tolerated here?” you hear something hiss and spot a tank. you could feel yourself start to lose consciousness when he lifts the mask to your face. “breathe.”

Y/N and her already in a relationship. Nat wanting to do something special for Valentines day but being the busy woman she is, she thinks about taking you out for a dinner (she would do something more special but like I said before, she’s busy)
