La bestia y el principe.

En la parte más oscura y profunda de un bosque, vivia una tribu, escondida de todo. Tenian alas largas que salian de sus espaldas y eran hermosos; pero, eran lo que se podria llamar bestias. Entre ellos estaba su princesa, que tenia enormes alas de ceniza. Sus leyes decian que llegados a los 16, se les permitiria volar a las afueras del bosque. Y en su dieciseisavo cumpleaños, la princesa emprendió su vuelo al mundo más álla del bosque. Cruzó lasmontañas escarpadas y las crecientes de los rios hasta llegar a la tierra de los humanos. La luna brillaba intensamente en el cielo. Descendió en el jardin de un castillo donde encontró a un joven hombre que miraba a la luna. La princesa se escondió en los arbustos, mirando al joven; y por primera vez, el amor floreció en su corazón. Pero él claramente era de una raza diferente. Una bestia y un humano nuca podrian estar juntos. Y así, la princesa fue a ver a una bruja que vivia en su mismo bosque y le dijo: “Quiero vivir como una humana. Quiero estar unida a él.” La bruja le respondió: “Puedo ayudarte si me ofreces tus alas. Pero ten en mente. No importa como te disfraces, eres una bestia, y consumirás la vida del principe algún día.” La princesa se despojó de sus alas y fue asaltada por el dolor más intenso que habia sentido. Ella nunca podria volar nuevamente. Aún así, sonrió felizmente, con lagrimas de alegria corriendo por su rostro: “¡Soy humana! ¡Soy humana! ¡Ahora soy igual a él!” La princesa nuevamente fue en camino a la tierra de los humanos, esta vez a pie. En el desierto, ella vio a un grupo de personas: “¡Oh, no! ¡¿Hay alguien que pueda salvarlo?!” Ahí yacía un joven hombre, su pierna había sido mordida por una serpiente. La princesa corrió a su lado y succionó el veneno de la herida. “Gracias, valiente dama, soy el príncipe de estas tierras.” Era el mismo joven que conoció en el castillo. “Te debo mi vida. Por favor, cásate conmigo.” Una ceremonia de bodas se llevó a cabo poco después. El sacerdote pregunto a la princesa, vestida en un vestido de novia de blanco puro. “¿Juras serle fiel, en las buenas y en las malas, en la salud y en la enfermedad, hasta que la muerte los separe?” “¡Humanos! ¡Humanos! Ellos no tienen ni las alas para volar, ni las garras o los colmillos para cazar. Esas creaturas tan fragiles y débiles, pero ellos son tan calidos. ¡Los humanos son maravillosos!” Despues de la boda, ella vivió feliz, como la princesa de una tierra de humanos. Ayudó al principe con su trabajo, viajó por el mundo, y vió oceanos llenos de destellos de zafiro, brillantes pastizales, y auroras que se balanceaban como llamas enfurecidas. La princesa tomó la mano del principe y dijo con una sonrisa en su rostro, “Sujetame y nunca me dejes ir, ******” Pero, la felicidad de la princesa duró poco.

Ella se levantó una noche por un dolor que la desgarraba, se encontró con que su cuerpo se estaba convirtiendo en el de un a bestia. “¿Por qué? ¡Le pedi que me convirtiera en humana!” En su espalda estaban creciendo alas tan negras como la noche, abriendose paso entre su carne y su piel para salir. “Usar magia tiene su precio. Has obtenido demasiada felicidad como humana. Ahora, es tiempo de convertirte en un monstruo horrible” la bruja del bosque le susurro. “Pero, si matas a la persona que más amas, seras liberada de tu maldicion y volverás a ser la bestia que originalmente eras.” La princesa miró a su amado principe mientras sus garras llegaban a su garganta. ella lo amaba más que a nada ni a nadie, pero el deseo de destrozar su cuello crecía dentro de ella. Mientras ella trataba desesperadamente de detenerse a si misma, sus garras se clavaron en su propia piel, la sangre comenzó a brotar. “Si mato al principe, seré libre de esta maldición…” Con lagrimas derramandose por su rostro, ella besó al principe en la mejilla. Cuando el principe se levantó, la princesa ya no estaba a su lado. En su lugar, la cama estaba llena de plumas negras.

Con profunda tristeza, el principe busca a lo largo de tierra por su amada. Pero nadie ha visto a su princesa.
