Love is a Team Effort

Love is a Team Effort!!! I put it under the series name, but it used to be called 'How Polyamory saved the Galaxy'

Its a series that the main story line follows Echo slowly becoming a member of the Bad Batch's romantic partnership. In the background, though, is Rexanidala/Jessix becoming a real thing that started after Fives's death. Both groups of 5 goes to each other for romantic and life advice, and through them each becoming a polyamorous relationship, Order 66 is prevented. Cus Love wins.

The first four parts are posted here, and this is one of my favorite snippets from part 3. (I don't have any unposted parts yet, unfortunately.)

----Echo groaned and leaned back into the chair, sinking gratefully into its surprisingly plush form. "I'm so stupid."

"What, no you're not!" Jesse exclaimed.

"Jesse's right, you're not stupid at all." Kix agreed. "What's wrong, though? Did something happen?"

"Yeah, it did.I think I fell in love with my entire team."

They were silent for a long moment before Jesse said, "Okay, maybe you are a little stupid."

"Jesse!"

Echo sighed as he shook his head. "No, no. He's right. Especially because I'm not even sure they trust me. There is no way they feel the same way. So, yeah. Its pretty stupid."

"They don't trust you?" Kix asked in a tight voice.

"Because of what the Separatists made you do? Because I swear to the Force I'll beat some sense into them! Starting with the asshole sniper."

Echo quickly shook his head. "No, no, Jesse! Nothing like that. And Crosshair is actually very sweet."

Jesse's eyes went huge and he reached out to place a hand on Echo's forehead. "Kixie, babe, I think he's really sick. You should at the very least check him for a fever!"

Echo batted his hand away and shot him an unimpressed look. "Really, Jesse?"

WIP meme: Arranged Marriage AU

Arranged Marriage! So, this is a fun one because it lets me do 3 different culture building! And uses my 'culture clash' on my Bad Batch Bingo card. Its an au where Hunter's planet is being threatened by the growing Empire and needs Tech's (a culturally advanced planet) and Echo's (warrior planet-basically Mandalorians) to ally with them to not be overrun. So the three of them are put into an arranged marriage. Its gonna be awesome, I'm sure! Here is one of my favorite little snippets.(it has 3 OC's- Hunter's parents and their Jafar-esque advisor)

“We might, actually.” Seiban’s advisor, Cloud (Not his actual name, but he was full of hot air and Hunter couldn’t remember what he was truly called) said. 

“What did you have in mind?” Elea asked with a small frown. 

“The Uchatani and Mabraians may decide to help if they did have a higher stake in what happens to us.”

“And I take it you have an idea how to give them that higher stake?” Seiban asked with an arched brow. 

“Well, of course. Unite us all together by letting them marry your daughter.” “Excuse me!?” Hunter and his father snapped together,  gray and burgundy eyes glaring him down, both for the suggestion and blatant misgendering. 

“Well, both families have children within them roughly Your Highness’s age.” Cloud replied. “If you proposed a joining of the three families, then they may see us as being under their protection.”

“Out of the question!” Seiban snapped. “My son is not a bartering tool!”

Spoilers for TBB episode 3.13

So I've now officially determined that the reason Echo has been missing from so many TBB episodes is because he is extremely OP. He has so much experience, training, and competence that they really had to remove him from the batch because there WOULD BE NO CONFLICT.

Rescue Omega? Echo's been working on it, but he has other rebel things he's trying to help with.

CX-2 shows up? We can't have Echo kill Tech before he comes back to himself.

Sneak onto an imperial ship to get to Tantiss? Echo will do it himself, and then proceed to stay hidden on the ship, without backup and support, for the duration of the trip.

This man served under Captain Rex in the excellent 501st, Torrent Company, has ARC training, is so incredibly intelligent and strategic that he was held hostage by the Techno Union, and more. By the way, he manages to be COMPLETELY SILENT sneaking onto the ship on his ENTIRELY METAL LEGS.

In conclusion: Echo is so powerful he actually destroys the integrity of the season 3 plot. Deus ex Echo.

Tell me about Western Jessix!!!!

Western Jessix!! So, its this crazy idea, where when Kix was taken by Dooku and his transport lost, it somehow crashed in northern Montana in the 1880s. Jesse had a way to find him, implanted trackers because he and Kix are paranoid, so he deserted, with Rex's encouragement, to find him. They landed on an undiscovered goldmine and end up building a western settlement for the people who aren't totally welcome in other places. And the sheriff is a B1 battle droid named Roger.

The first chapter is posted here, but here is a lil sneak peak of it!

----“Sir, Captain,” he began and then with a deep breath changed the title to a soft utterance of his brother’s name. “Rex, I need you to do something for me.”

“Anything, Jesse.” the Captain said immediately. “You know that.”

“I need you to list me as MIA too.” Jesse said without hesitation. “And a ship with a medbay.”

Rex stared at him with a heavy frown for a long moment before drawing his name out. “Jesse…”

“You trust me?”

“You know I do.”

“Then trust that I’m not just going out on a wild flutterplume chase.” 

Understanding lit in his eyes and he nodded. “You can find him.” 

“I can find him.” 

“Okay....."

I CANT DECIDE

Arranged marriage!! Or expanded batch!! Or western Jessix!!

THE THREE??

For you, I shall do a bit out of all three! (Though, you might have seen ninety percent of the Arranged Marriage one already)

Arranged Marriage:

A Tech/Hunter/Echo au set in a whole different universe, where to keep his planet safe from the Empire, Hunter is entered into an arranged marriage with their two closest allies- Tech and Echo's planets.

----At first, they seemed harmless. A true delegate wanting to negotiate a better price for their exports. But it didn’t take long for them to begin demanding things. And then the demands became threats when Hunter’s father refused to give in. Threats that escalated to a promise of taking the planet from them by force if they did not give into their demands. 

Like always, Hunter’s parents reached out to their allies in request for a united front, but to everyone’s surprise, they hesitated. Two didn’t even reply, Uchatania and Mabraitune, however, said that going against the so called Empire with nothing at stake for them could be detrimental to them and their people. No matter how much they wanted to help. Hunter understood. His father, however, did not.

“Who do they think they are! We would be coming to their aid if it was the other way around!”

Expanded Batch:

An au where the bad batch is Captain Hunter and his 10 younger brothers, because the other experimental clones survived past infanthood. Excerpt is Hunter and his Mandalorian trainer.

----Hunter’s eyes went wide and he eyed the sticks. “Blade? Like, like swords?”

“Exactly! You are proving to be a fast, excellent melee fighter and that is what I am going to train you as. You’ll pass marksmanship training and have a blaster as back up, of course. But you, my Hunter, are a swordsman through and through. And we’re going to make sure everyone knows it.”

“Will the Kaminoans allow it?”

“They cannot control what I teach you. They put you under my protection, more or less made you a member of my clan, and I can and will teach you whatever I see fit.”

Hunter’s eyes widened. “Your, your clan?”

Jelvi nodded, kneeling down so they were more or less eye level with each other. “Yes. You are, without a doubt, Hunter of Clan Rho, House Mereel and anyone who tells you otherwise will have to deal with me. Understood?”

Western Jessix is posted, as Mar'eyce, and I dont have the next bit written yet. Thought I had! OOPS! But, the next chapter starts with them finding a settlement, and Jesse stealing clothes for them. Which, will include a dress to put on Kix. An accident, he claims.

ARC trooper Steady was is a part of the 13th Iron Battalion and is stationed on the Albedo Brave and serves under the command of Jedi General Jaro Tapal and Jedi Padawan Commander Cal Kestis.

He and his batchmate, Captain Stout, were present during order 66 and followed through with the order but did not survive the resulting crash of the venator on the planet Bracca. Or did they?

the bad batch see echo as this more-experienced, grumpy yet loving motherly figure who always checks on them, whether it’s making sure tech gets some sleep to giving hunter/crosshair glasses so they don’t get overstimulated to treating wreckers scar to putting omega to bed. he is the responsible one.

when they mention this to rex, he stares at echo in horror. because that boy is a demon. the same boy who snuck out drinking with fives, who once broke his knuckle punching a droid, who used to jump cody/rex/anakin from behind doors and try to tackle them.

no one belives rex when he says this.

echo is hiding behind a nearby door, listening in and preparing to jump rex.

Do you have any plans for your Jedi June 2022 series? Because I really love that AU, and I think it’s sad that it’s been unfinished for a year and a half now. I just would really like to see how it affects events in the Clone Wars, and how Sidious is defeated in your AU.

I have had thoughts on it, yeah! What is written now was what I had originally been planning only, but there are so many options for that universe. And I really do love Anakin being Plo's padawan.

Since I did write all I had originally planned, I haven't actually plotted out more, unfortunately. And have SO many unfinished wips I want to try and update. But I can try and come up with a few other additions and add them to my growing lists of projects. Ahsoka becoming Anakin's Padawan, him bonding with the 501st. Maybe do a few fixits for some Clone Wars episodes.

I dont know when Ill have time to write any of them, but I will try and find a time! Hyperfocusing on certain characters makes it a bit hard to force my focus elsewhere, but I will try!

song that doesn’t fit the character at all but i was thinking about them while listening to it on loop

song that has one or two lines accurate to the character’s story

song that just kind of is the character’s vibe

unsure why this song is in the playlist but it’s so ingrained in my mind as 'part of the playlist' that it would feel weird to remove it
