The Israel bill is number 8034 and the Ukraine bill is 8035. A quick Google search would have told you as much.

It took Congress almost 500 days to get this far - with or without Israel aid attached. They kept finding ways of stalling and blocking while Ukrainians are being bombed on the daily by Russian missiles and Iranian drones. It'd be cool if you didn't spread false information about something as critical as helping people survive a genocide, especially since that's something you seem to care about elsewhere.

Fun thing to do for Americans today:

Call your congress people and demand that they vote for the Ukraine aid bill.

It's been almost 500 days since congress last approved aid to Ukraine. 🇺🇦 forces are severely lacking in ammunition there, which means they cannot protect their cities and energy infrastructure and have to leave soldiers at the frontline without cover because they need to ration their firepower. Civilians are dying, soldiers defending freedom and democracy are dying. Ukraine will lose and cease to exist if they run out of weapons.

Russia is 100% responsible for the war, but inaction makes the USA complicit and will lead to a bigger war in Europe that is very likely going to include NATO directly, meaning your fellow countrypeople will actually have to come here and fight. Don't want that? Then fucking support Ukraine NOW! It's the morally right and logical thing to do and serves your own interests!!

And if you like to send a good old-fashioned postcard, here's another way you could contact your representatives. It might be too short-notice for the vote tomorrow but the bill will still have to go through the Senate and it's surely not the last time we have to fight for Ukraine aid.

Today is February 24th. Two years ago Russia started its full scale invasion of Ukraine after already being at war in the East for 8 years prior, which was mostly ignored by the world and paved the way for Russian imperialism to attack the entire country of Ukraine.

Russia's actions involve countless war crimes and genocidal tactics, they destroy civilian infrastructure und houses, they kill civilians, torture and rape, they deport children to Russian territory. They do everything to destroy the Ukrainian nation. A nation that is a peaceful democracy since 1991, that continuously has proven that it does not want to be in "the Russian world". Ukraine wants freedom, Ukraine wants to be part of the European Union, Ukraine wants to determine its own future without occupation.

Every day Ukrainians are fighting not just for themselves. If Russia is not stopped and pushed back, it will go further. It will attack EU and NATO countries. In just a few years they could attack the Baltic states, Poland, Finland. They might already be planning a coup in Moldova as soon as next week.

This is the part where I tell you to donate to the Ukrainian armed forces. You can do so for example via United 24, the fundraising platform of the President of Ukraine. Call and write to your representatives and ask them for more support, ESPECIALLY if you're US American and your representatives are Republicans! Check if there's a support rally near you today and go there. Stay informed, talk to your friends and family about it. Help!!!!

Re: blorbo from my research, here is my favorite ever case study. I'm obsessed with it.

Summary:

- Guy presents to neurology with muscle issues, very clearly has something going on but diagnostic tests are inconclusive

- History is mostly unremarkable. Key word, mostly. He drinks four liters of plain Earl Grey tea per day. For context this is nearly twice the recommended daily fluid intake. All fluids, to be clear, not just tea. He only drinks tea tho

- Bergamot is known to be phototoxic in high doses (reacts badly on your skin with sunlight)

- APPARENTLY nobody previously has consumed enough of it for it to be widely known that it is also, apparently, mildly toxic to ingest in high doses

- Guy starts drinking plain black tea again. Only 2 liters this time (he didn't have a medical reason to drink that much tea, he just liked it) and so now he's fully recovered
