I've been listening to it nonstop, I have a Kiner only Clone Assassin playlist. Yes, CX-2, please tell us why you would have your own theme? 😏
Finally noticed that the soundtrack album for the first half of season 3 was on Spotify. You know who has their own theme?
CX-2 👀

Oh yay! Yes more evidence! (Thank you for the tag of inspiration! 💜) You're not insane or obsessive at all! It is so blatantly clear with all of the evidence the fandom has collectively gathered that it's him. I have a list a klick long, lol. These are all excellent points. I know CX-2 has been savage, but I strongly believe he will be redeemed. And I don't think the writers will ever live down the word "domicile." 🤣 Hey Jen Corbett / Dee Bradley Baker, Can I have your autograph, can your personal note be 'domicile?' 🤣
Major TBB S3 Spoilers: CX-2 Theory
I was inspired by @apocalyp-tech-a to bring some of my lil list from Twitter to Tumblr too. There are so many hints about CX-2’s identity, that, at this point, it will just be cruel if it’s not him haha! Also, I’m bonkers and delusionally looking for any and all signs that Tech lives and that he will be reunited with his family … sheesh— tall order 😳
If you have evidence to the contrary, differing theories, or simply want to tell me how insane and obsessive I'm being, share it here! Also, if anyone thinks CX-2 has been cloned from Tech, please tell me that's possible. CX-2 is savage, and I don't want it to be him... but truly believe it is.
1. When CX-2 lands his ship on Teth, he looks like he's bouncing his heels in anticipation/nerves. ( à la Tech in 1x1 "Aftermath," in the Kamino brig) [3x6 "Infiltration"]
Tumblr media
2. When CX-2 moves those boulders to egress the base on Teth, his strained noise of pain/exertion is the same sound in 2x2 "Ruins of War" when Tech tries to move the crate off his leg.
Tumblr media
3. Which other Fett clone in the entire galaxy would state "They are both” like this?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. CX-2 programmed his ship to do ... a Tech Turn (or a variation of it)? It’s noticeable in 3x11 when he’s about to load Omega onto his creepy red light district dagger-ship.
GIF link:

5. Domicile. The man said domicile. Casually and with Tech’s same accent.

They are straight up trolling us with this, lol! Or... Tech...is...The Six Million Credit Clone! 🏃🏽‍♂️ You're absolutely right, they could have used a totally different animation model for this "Imperial Technician" but chose to use one that very closely resembles our beloved Tech. Is he undercover? Is he a double science experiment by Hemlock? Is it a Jekyll and Hyde scenerio? Is Imperial Technician CX-2's side hustle? Or is it just some random dude. I entertain the notion that it is another failed clone like Emerie to have that much resemblance to a CT-99. I love your crackpot theory that Hemlock could be using him, there 'was' a little too much screen time and emphasis on him if you ask me. I keep hoping we'll get answers with so few episodes left, but looks like some things are going to be left up to the fandom creators.

There was a man with a late 70's hair and mustache combo to start this episode. It's a shame that the future of the fashionable in Star Wars includes this look, but I appreciate the consistency with the original trilogy nonetheless. But aside from the retro look, they made some interesting choices with this episode. They could have made this fellow look like anyone.
They made him look like Tech.
Months of hair growth parted on the side and combed over would hide the hairline we are used to seeing on him. Lab goggles (with a red light on the side no less) and a mustache hide some of his features, but what we can see looks strikingly like our favorite genius.
I would love for this scientist and CX-2 to both be Tech. Hemlock is all about using the resources available to him and knows how to turn a man into an instrument to be used. Tech's fall on Eriadu would have given Hemlock a two-for-one prize. He would have gotten an exceptional mind and a deadly soldier. I don't think he would let either go to waste. It would be so cool if Hemlock were controlling Tech's dual talents and switching between the two, utilizing him as an assassin and a gifted intellect.
The mustached man looked a little disoriented when he got to the vault, suggesting that he might be new to his position there. That didn't seem important until Emerie told her subordinate that she was the chief scientist who would run things as she saw fit. What if she saw fit to include new personnel that she knows will be able to help her get those kids out of there—someone whose mind could be restored with the flip of a switch?
There are some inconsistencies that would prove this crackpot theory wrong, but there are also some ways that it could be right. It doesn't really matter. I'm hoping that with two episodes to go, getting Tech back will be as simple as flipping a switch and he'll be able to be part of the end of the show. Either way, this fellow looks way too much like Tech for my liking. It either is him, or a poor design decision was made when coming up with this guy's look.

I'm kind of low key livid right now. 😆😭 Are they kidding? With 2 episodes left? Not even a little cameo end shot after playing ominous hints of the CX theme throughout the entire episode!? Uuughhhh!!!!!! 😫
Not even a mention of CX-2. I just. I'm really starting to worry.

This is so adorable!!! 😍 I think we may need to hold on to some comforting dollies after Episode 13. And 14. And definitely 15. 😭

Happy Bad Batch eve. Still thinking of last week’s episode where the show gave us adorable kids with the cutest voices and simultaneously causing us emotional turmoil by making them imprisoned & experimented on by Hemlock. 💀 At least Bayrn and Eva have toys to give them a tiny bit of comfort to play together, I guess… 🧸
A close-up below because I spent too long drawing the details on the doll and straw Lula so I’d like people to actually see them. 😆

I'm so certain that it's Tech and he's still in there somehow. I tossed up the idea that he's undercover but he wouldn't need to get info out of the 'Trandoshan' or sneak on to Phee's ship if that were true. So I think you may be on to something with his holding on to his identity by using the term "I." There's also the possibility that his snobbishness is coming out and he likes to think of his exceptional mind as being uniquely superior compared to everyone else around him. (I have written Imperial Tech that way, lol!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's something odd about CX-2...
He is the only Clone X operative who uses the word "I" and he uses it a lot. It seems rather strange to me that he uses the personal pronoun when his identity has been erased. The other Clone-X types we've met stared blankly when asked who they were, their names, as if the whole concept did not compute. Perhaps the erasure and conditioning were not entirely effective on CX-2; perhaps this particular clone was defective to start with.

It was very convenient that the last 4 letters on that mug spelled ''Tech.' 😆

IF YOU READ THIS QUESTION YOU GET TO:
You'll get transported into the series you love the most
BUT
you die in it
are you willing to take this offer?
The ground quakes around me as the Separatists launch their counter offensive. Dirt is propelled into the air in scattering arches as bomb after bomb drops.
The intel was wrong, however. Instead of 1,000 troops, there are 10,000. We do not have a chance against them. *I* do not, as I notice that I was too preoccupied with deflecting blaster fire away from the clone troopers under my command with my lightsaber, to notice a large chunk of shrapnel now sticking out of my rib cage, puncturing my lung and a major artery.
“Commander Apocalyptecha!” a familiar voice cries out as I sway dizzily. It is Tech. The exceptionally intelligent member of Clone Force 99. He rushes to me, cradling me in his arms, as my lungs struggle to breathe.
“Tech... Retreat... Save yourself and your brothers. All of them.”
“I can get you to momentary safety and perform a procedure to save your life.” He attempts to pull a bacta patch from a pouch on his belt, but I find the strength to put my hand on his arm to stop him.
“No. Do not waste it on me. My time is done. But yours is just beginning. Retreat. Get everyone out. Any way you can,” I choke out with a sputtering cough.
His large brown eyes look on me so inquisitively, yet so sadly, at the realization that I am right. “Yes, Commander.”
Dirt continues to fly around in a blizzard of destruction, yet as Tech gazes into my eyes, I feel his affection and I feel peace. I squeeze his hand tenderly to let him know that he needs to find peace in this as well. I find the energy to utter one last wish to him. “May the Force be with you, Tech.”
He simply nods, and the last thing I see are those beautiful brown eyes guiding me peacefully to my end as I know he will find a way to guide his brothers to safety. *In retrospect, as lovely as it would be to die in Tech's arms, probably not. Lol. So , no would not take that offer. 😆 Thank you for the super cool ask though!!! 💜

Hope you enjoy it! 🤓 And thank you to @cloneficgiftexchange for running it!
SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW 🌈 (Tech X Reader)
The sun shone through the early morning commute of speeders and ships traversing Coruscant's sky, its pale blue color muted by smog that even the planet's filtering system could not alleviate. Towering skyscrapers of grays in every hue passed by as you navigated to the Grand Army of the Republic's base.
Upon pulling up in your speeder, a bright millaflower red Mustang XD38, you saw your future passenger salute you by casually flicking three fingers from his brow. You brought the speeder to a stop and flirted. "Hey good looking. Looking for a ride?"
"That depends," he said as he hopped into the passenger side with one dexterous and confident move.
"Depends on what, Tech?" You raised an eyebrow at him.
"On if I can be the driver." He adjusted his goggles hopefully.
"Can I pilot the Marauder?"
"No."
"Then you can be my CO-pilot. Just remember, I am the Captain here." You winked at him playfully.
You revved up the engine, but it wasn't loud enough to cover Tech's large sigh of frustration. You chuckled to yourself proudly before shooting him a grinning glance. "Aw, don't be like that, maybe you can drive back."
"That is exactly what you said on our previous two outings." Tech held up a pointed finger in a very casual, yet disgruntled manner.
"Yes. Hence the word "maybe."
Tech's propensity for arguing about who was driving dissipated as the museum came into view. His eyes were wide with excitement, though you knew he was trying to keep that emotion at bay. You had seen him go on one of his excited know-it-all rants before. You found them amusing, endearing, and most of all impressive. He was the smartest person you knew, whether it was from Kaminoan meddling or not, didn't matter.  You loved listening to him, and he loved to talk. And you didn't just like listening to him because of the pleasing sound of his voice and looks, but because he actually did talk about things that were interesting.
After parking, you both walked to the museum's main entrance. Tech adjusted his goggles as his head tilted back to take in the much larger than necessary doors adorned by a full arch of sculpted marble, stone, mythological figures from all over the galaxy.
"Shall we?" You suggested with a smile.
Tech nodded in the affirmative. "After you, Madame." Tech took note of the strange face you gave him upon being called 'Madame.' Perhaps it was a little old fashioned, but he still had not figured out what else he could use in place of your name without being too forward or disrespectful. Sometimes you called him 'Hot Shot' or 'Ace' which were exceedingly better than the names his brothers called him.
As for you, his brothers were not without suggestions. Crosshair suggested 'Doll,' Hunter suggested 'Sweetheart,' Echo suggested 'Dearest,' and Wrecker suggested 'Booboo-tooka.'
None of those monikers were quite sufficient, however, but Tech knew a solution would eventually present itself.
Since you had already purchased tickets as a surprise for him since he had not only repaired, but upgraded and heavily modified the repulsor system for your speeder, you were able to acquire visitor badges quickly and began your mosey through the museum.
With twenty levels, there was no way you could see everything in one day let alone a few hours, but you knew Tech had marked out an itinerary on his datapad to follow at your suggestion. You knew he only had so much leave to see what most piqued his interest. Even though he wanted to see everything, you finally convinced him to whittle it down to four floors.
"Let's start with the Paleolithic and Neolithic," he said with a tweak of his goggles. He started walking toward the lifts as if he had been there before, but you knew he had simply memorized the entire museum's layout.
"Sounds good to me," you said walking beside him. As you stood in the lift, you tilted your head up to study his profile as he continued to look down at his datapad. You wanted to blame the movement of the lift tube for the slight buckling in your knees, but you knew it was all due to his handsomeness.
Your heart pitter-pattered the moment you had seen him at 79s three months ago. You weren't one to go pick up guys at bars, but there was something unique and enticing about him. You thought little of it or him, figuring to never see him again until he came into your electronics shop in search of a capacitor.
Apparently your knowledge of computers made an impression because he came in the next day looking for a hyper-regulator. With fate on your side, you asked if he wanted to meet you for a drink and after some adorable awkwardness, he agreed.
The lift doors slid open and you stepped into a carefully curated world of wood and stone. Dioramas with the first humans, the first Trandoshans, the first Rodians, Twi'leks, and Pantorans were set up along one corridor.
"It is fascinating, the similarities between different species as pertains to the genesis and evolution of technology," Tech marveled as you came to the exhibit of like tools from all over the galaxy. "The Twi'lek arrowhead is quite similar to the Devaronian and Human. The same goes for ax-heads and needles. But once you get to items like beads and pottery vessels, you see the cultural trajectory lose conformity and develop based on materials available by individual local environment and customs."
"I had never really thought about it like that. I'm used to technology and more recent history I guess."  You shrugged.
"Indeed. One can hardly expect the modern mind to memorize all of the information whether historical or technological. Though I do try."
"You have some 'exceptional' advantages that the rest of us do not," you teased. You had not known him three rotations when he went on a detailed explanation of he and his brothers' 'defects' which did not sound like defects at all to you. Then he continued to explain how those traits made them more deviant than defective. You certainly understood that side of him as he often met with you when he should have been attending to GAR duties.
Satisfied with your visit to the 'stone' ages, you next traveled through time and to the fifth floor to the rise of cities and nation states.
Tech stared at the first exhibit with fascination.  "The agricultural revolution varied by planet. Those that did not have crops that could be mass produced could only sustain small settlements, whereas those with large crops could maintain large cities that grew exponentially into kingdoms and nations."
"And wars and starvation."
"Yes," Tech turned to you, his brow furrowed with concern at your statement. Did you not find history as fascinating as he did? He knew your views on the war and cloning. He dared not ask, but all he could do was agree with you.
When Tech continued to stare at you, you realized maybe you had gone too far and put a damper on an outing that was supposed to be fun. "I'm sorry, Tech. I didn't mean to rain on your parade."
He adjusted his goggles thoughtfully. "I have seen plenty of rain on Kamino," he said understandingly. "You need not apologize. That is an unfortunately correct assessment of civilization. With growth and progress comes conflict and suffering. The two seem to go hand in hand, but I think rather to have faith that intelligence and good intentions have the advantage."
"In that case, it's almost as if sentient life is collectively "defective." You smiled, grateful for his understanding and wisdom. For being a clone maybe a third your age, if that, you can not but admire his calm and collected approach to situations and problems. The only thing he seemed to ever be nervous around is you, but that was understandable because you knew the clone troopers didn't exactly get lessons in romance in the GAR.
Tech merely pushed his goggles up the bridge of his nose with a knowing smile. He was never quite sure how to take your sarcasm, probably because he was self aware of his own and that of his brothers, Crosshair in particular. But the affectionate twinkle in your eyes and gentle flourish of your smile made his heart beat a little faster and the tips of his ears feel a little warmer.
He had not expected to become interested in a female. He was engineered to be a soldier, nothing more. Yet, you made him feel like he was more than that, that he wanted more even. He found himself returning to your shop even though he really did not need to.
And yet he did 'need' to.
Tech found himself smiling back at you. "Indeed. I must apologize. We have been to two floors of exhibits that I wanted to see. Is there something you would like to see?"
"No, Tech. This was all for you."
"I should very much like to learn about what interests you."
"Well, there is an atrium level. Gardens and ruins from other worlds. I remember being taken with the one from Naboo when I was a child." You felt a little weird saying that considering Tech was technically the same age as you were at the time. "You can actually sit there and relax. Or meditate like a Jedi." You shrugged.
"I would very much like that."
After browsing the garden exhibits of Kashyyyk, Chandrila, Selonia, and Old Coruscant, you settled in the Naboo section. A small waterfall splashed down a rock cliff before flowing through a makeshift river that encapsulated the area and then recycled back to the top of the waterfall. Lush green grass spread across one half before melding with a more tree and moss covered rocky area that housed some Gungan head statues. But what really amazed you not only as a child, but as an adult as well, were the guarlara statues that guarded the Naboo area.
Tech studied you as you gazed upon the statues, content to witness your own fixation with something in the museum since you put up with his. "The guarlara, a quadrupedal mammal native to Naboo, having evolved the physical trait of speed on that planet's grassy plains and also a long mane of hair. Used as transportation before the speeder was invented and now only used for official royal business such as coronations."
"Sadly, I don't think I'll ever get a chance to ride one."
"No. They are reserved for royalty," Tech said a little too bluntly. But you knew he didn't mean anything by it and that he for the most part sympathized with you.
"Indeed," you echoed a word he had a habit of saying. "Let's sit over on that fancy stone bench. My feet are a little sore from all of the walking we've done."
"Indeed," Tech said in reply with a grin. He forgot you were probably not used to walking five or ten klicks or more as he was.
You both sat in silence as the sound of the waterfall drowned out the low chatter of the museum. You took extra satisfaction because Tech is sitting right next to you, so close that your arms and legs were touching.
You knew he was a little nervous because he continued to look down at his datapad rather than enjoy the soothing sound of the waterfall, but maybe water just wasn't his thing.
“Hey Ace. What cycle are we heading for next?”
There it was. 'Ace.' One of your pet names for him. He wanted so badly to find one for you as well, but he wanted a special name, not the usual. He knew you liked driving and piloting as he did, but Ace could not work for both of you. He knew you also liked guarlaras, but there were not many equus related monikers that seemed suitable. Guarlara itself did not roll off the tongue very well. Pony was not very romantic. And mare simply sounded unsuitable.
Tech's eyes went from studying his datapad to studying the floor. He was disappointed that he could not find an ideal solution to this very simple quandary.
He now turned to you, studying your delicate features, so content to be in your favorite part of the museum, yet you were so colorful as well, not like anyone he had ever met before. When you turned to him, he took to studying the sparkle in your eyes, that seemed to represent everything he admired about you.
“What is it?” you asked, noticing Tech staring at you strangely.
He took your hand in his. "I was simply thinking about what an extraordinarily colorful woman you are. You remind me of the rainbows on Kamino. They were always so vibrant after a storm. And you are a vibrant beacon after all of the missions we go on. You are like a rainbow to me, albeit in adult human female form."
“Awwww...” You squeeze his hand and place your other hand over your heart. "I think that might be the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me."
Tech could not help the large smile that spread across his face. “Then it is settled, Rainbow.”
You could not stifle the huge goofy smile that was spread across your face, beaming with happiness at Tech, whose eyes reflected your contentment. “You know, Ace, I think you might have earned the title of Captain.”
“That is not possible. Hunter is our Sergeant and first in line for that- Oh. You are referring to your speeder. You are going to let me pilot it?” Tech asked with a hopeful tweak of his goggles.
You laughed at him. “Come on, Captain Tech. Let's finish out the rest of the museum, then you can take me for ride.” The sly wink you gave him gave you exactly the fumbling reaction you desired.
Tech pushed his goggles up the bridge of his nose nervously and cleared his throat. “Yes. I shall take you for a ride in your speeder.”
After you were all done at the museum, you took note of Tech's excitement to sit on the pilot side of your speeder while you took the seat he had earlier.  Before you knew it, you were speeding away from the museum, up into the sky at a breakneck, but controlled speed, but it didn't matter, you knew he was a skilled pilot, and you trusted him with your life, and your heart.
Tech looked over at you, a huge smile spread across your face as the speeder breezed through the bright, neon signs and beaming lights of the other vehicles in the skylanes and shining through the windows of the skyscrapers.  All of the colors of the Coruscant evening did not compare to the lovely colors of you, his own personal Rainbow.

In The Garden Would You Trust Me? (Wrecker x Fem!Jedi!Reader)
This was written for @imarvelatthestars for the @cloneficgiftexchange Di, I hope you enjoy this one!
Notes: No warnings, Jedi reader, injured Wrecker, tending to injuries, self-disparaging Wrecker, discussion of trust, Wrecker feels bad about himself, but you're there to make him feel better.
Tumblr media
"I am so in love with her right now," Wrecker held his head in his hands, keeping his head upright so that he wouldn't have to look away from his general. Your lightsaber cut through the droids that had ambushed them like shaak butter.
Tech coughed sharply and waved his flashlight, "Wrecker, eyes on me." He needed to see if his brother had another concussion. Wrecker hesitated, so Tech finally grabbed his chin, forcing his brother to let himself be examined.
"We've gotta get him out of here!" You were suddenly standing over them, and Wrecker stared at your hand on his shoulder, unaware of the dorky little smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
Hunter, however, didn't, and couldn't resist a conspiratorial grin beneath his helmet, "We can hold them off, can you get him to safety?"
Tech missed Hunter's intentions, "The general is the most formidable of all of us, if anyone is going to press forward with the mission is should be her-"
Hunter gripped Tech's shoulder tightly, "The general has the medical training to take care of Wrecker for now, but she doesn't have your prowess with technology."
"Hey!" You teased, though it was true. No one could best Tech's skills with hacking and reprogramming.
"Still, It would be quiet unorthodox if the general was unable to ensure the completion of the- ow!" Tech batted Hunter's hand from his shoulder.
You laughed softly, "A true leader protects their people," You said wisely, "Besides, if I can't count on you boys to take down this prison outpost, who can I trust?"
Wrecker felt a bit ashamed at that. Did you mean that you couldn't trust him? He did tend to get a little overexcited from time to time, but you always picked him to stand by your side and to stay with him to disarm any explosives you encountered on your missions. Had he been mistaken in thinking that meant that you trusted him?
Tech humphed, "Very well. Though we should move quickly, another wave of droids is making their way towards us."
You nodded and slung Wrecker's arm over your shoulder.
Surprisingly, the rest of his body followed, laid across your shoulders like the spoils of a hunt. If Wrecker hadn't been in love before, he was a goner now.
"See you at the rendezvous, boys!" You bid farewell to his brothers, and then Wrecker was flying.
He'd seen you use the force before; leaping to incredible heights, deflecting a hailstorm of blasterfire, calming the angriest gundarks, even making a tiny flower bloom right before his eyes, but it was another thing entirely to experience it for himself.
You'd explained it to him before: the force was an energy field that connected everything together. He could almost feel that energy field himself in this moment. The air around him tingled, like right before an explosion was primed to go off. Is this what you felt like all the time? It was exhilarating.
You came to a stop some klicks away from the Separatist outpost the others were supposed to infiltrate to find the Wookie prisoners and lay Wrecker down to rest against the trunk of a grand wroshyr tree
"How's your head?" You asked.
Wrecker shrugged, "Dizzy, but it doesn't hurt right now."
"Are you nauseous?"
Wrecker shook his head, and instantly regretted it, "Whoops, now I am."
You pushed him backwards until he was sitting on one of the large, exposed roots, and helped him lean forward to bring his head between his knees.
"Stay like that until it feels better, focus on this leaf and try not to think about throwing up." You placed said leaf on the ground between his feet, and as he looked at it, Wrecker felt his headache fading. You were a lot better at this medical thing that Tech was, more patient, more gentle.
"You're a good medic," He mumbled.
"Why thank you," You grabbed a stick that could serve as a temporary splint for his leg, comparing it to the size of his leg to see if it would hold.
"I wish you could be our medic all the time, you're way better than Tech." Wrecker continued, trying to focus on that one leaf like you'd said. It was still a little blurry, but it was getting better if he concentrated.
You giggled, "Then who'd be your general?"
"Hmm, good point." Wrecker hummed, "I like that you're my general."
You ducked your head, staring intently at his twisted ankle. "I do too, Wrecker."
Wrecker sat up. He couldn't hear very well with only one good ear, but your quiet tone sounded...off. You were never that quiet. Even when Hunter was trying to sleep, you always spoke in a more exaggerated whisper, always making sure Wrecker could hear.
"You okay, General?" he asked, not sure why he felt so shy. Was it true then? Did you really not trust him to do a good job and that's why you were always hovering next to him?
"Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine!" You insisted. You tore a few strips of fabric from the hem of your robes, wrapping it around his leg as fast as you could.
"Yow!" You wrapped it a little too tightly, and Wrecker yanked his foot out of your grasp.
"Sorry! Sorry, I wasn't paying attention!" you blabbered out apologies, quickly unwrapping the bandage so that you could adjust it. You bit your lip, but your nerves had already spread to Wrecker, who anxiously tapped his fingers against the wroshyr roots while he waited for you to finish bandaging his ankle.
"General?" He started, trying to speak calmly so he wouldn't spook either of you again, "Do you trust me?"
Your hands froze, "Do I what?" Finally, you looked up, puzzlement in your radiant eyes.
Wrecker's heart did a summersault and he gulped.
"I know I can be a bit...a bit much, and sometimes I miss things that are obvious to people like Tech, but I just-"
Both your comms beeped insistently, interrupting Wrecker's heartfelt confession. It was Hunter.
"General, how are you and Wrecker?"
You answered with another curious glance at Wrecker, and he felt embarrassed for even asking.
"We're alright, Sergeant, we're out of danger and getting him all bandaged up."
"Good. The wookiee prisoners are free, and we've handed out the extra weapons we were able to carry."
Wrecker sighed heavily. He was missing all the action! What good was he all bandaged up and stuck on the sidelines? No wonder the General didn't trust him.
He stood up, with every intention of marching back to the outpost to help his brothers, to prove to you that he could be just as reliable as Tech or Hunter, but his ankle just wouldn't support his weight. It slipped out from under him, and he pitched forward.
"Woah!" You were under him in a second, arms wrapped around his torso to keep him from falling face-first into another complex root system.
"...Is everything alright?" Hunter asked over the comms.
"We're fine, hold the outpost for now, and wait for General Windu's regiment to meet you." You cut the comm, and adjusted your hold on Wrecker so that you could look up at him.
"I can't leave you alone for a second without you getting into trouble, can I?" You asked.
Wrecker tried to dig the toe of his boot into the dirt, "I don't mean to, general."
"I know you don't," You grinned at him, and kissed the tip of his nose.
Wrecker froze, heat gathering on his cheeks.
He wasn't thinking. He knew he wasn't, but he never had much of a filter in the first place.
"You're beautiful," He whispered.
Your face went bright red.
"Thank you," You said softly.
You were both silent as you helped him sit back on his throne of roots, and you knelt in front of him, squeezing his hands to grab his attention before his thoughts could start to wander again.
"I trust you Wrecker, I promise. More than even your brothers."
"More than Hunter?" Wrecker asked in surprise.
You nodded, "I promise. Never for a second think that I don't trust you, because I do. Why do you think I always ask you to be my backup every time we have to split up? It's because I know I can trust you to watch out for me the way I look out for you."
Wrecker rubbed the back of his neck with one hand, "Well, I trust you too, General." He said.
You sighed, and opened up your arms, "Get over here, you big goof," you wrapped your arms around his neck, and even before Wrecker could reciprocate, you pressed a kiss to the side of his head.
Wrecker enveloped you in his own arms, holding you close. He may not know exactly what this meant for the two of you, but he might have to get injured more often to find out.
