I dunno if I'd say it happened "accidentally". It's just that when I started gaining an interest in c!Dream, I gravitated towards c!Dream apologists rather than the other side of the interpretation spectrum, and by the time I joined Tumblr I had enough of a positive rep in c!Dream apologist circles that they just kinda adopted me lmao. And eventually he became my main guy.

I never really identified as a c!Dream apologist tho. Primarily because for a long time I disagreed a lot with the mainstream c!Dream apologist interpretations, even though I sure enjoyed them more than the other interpretations 😭. But the label is kinda meaningless and broad anyway. And it's not like you have to call yourself a c!Dream apologist to be perceived as one lol, my fandom circles and the general vibe of my takes made me a c!Dream apologist in all but name.

fun fact: after writing my first fanfiction in this fandom and thinking i didn't get c!dream's characterisation quite right (specifically, thinking I woobied him too much, which i probably did), i made a word document from one of your twt threads where you listed different integral parts of c!dream and used it to try to get as accurate as possible in writing him (with changes if the au demanded it)
