What's a tone indicator? They sound really useful.

a tone indicator is shorthand for a word that allows people to pick up on the tone of a message.

for example, if i had a question for someone, i might ask my question and follow it up with /gen (which stands for genuine) to let them know i'm not being sarcastic and i'm genuinely curious.

tone indicators help contextualize statements online where it's sometimes very difficult to tell whether or not someone meant something as a joke, was being serious, etc.

a few examples of tone indicators are:

/s - sarcastic

/j - joking/joke

/srs - serious

/gen - genuine

/lh - light hearted

/pos - positive

/neg - negative
