X-Men '97 is doing such a great job with Nightcrawler. Every episode he's been in, they've really shown just what a great, decent guy Kurt is. I especially loved his playful dynamic with Gambit and how he and Rogue really feel like siblings. It's so nice when a show just gets a character you love!

This was literally my reaction in Tekken 8 when I played Jun's story and we see Kazuya gave her a blanket as she was sleeping:

I did some art of Murder House by Puppet Combo! I've just started playing it, but it's terrifying. The design of the main villain is so unsettling, and I was really creeped out in the prologue when you could see him just out of frame watching you....

I don't always like Magneto, but the scene in the episode with Mags speaking German to Leech really broke my heart. It was like he was going back to when he was young and saying what he wished he could have heard. Genuinely tragic.

I got The Long Halloween for Christmas, so wanted to do some art of Harvey! He's my favourite Batman villain. I really hope he shows up in the new Caped Crusader animated show. I always thought it would be cool to really focus on him more, and give him a whole Anakin Skywalker story, so his eventual fate really feels like a huge loss.

Does anyone else really like Jubilee's powers? Just when she starts shooting fireworks everywhere, the sound and all the bright colours. I just always thought it was really cool - it actually makes her one of the most dynamic X-Men when it comes to action scenes! (Plus, her whole design with the big yellow jacket just gives me cyberpunk vibes, which I've always really liked!)

Is Dragon's Dogma 2 like Skyrim where you can just explore the world and read books and do stuff like that, or is it more like Bloodborne or Elden Ring where the combat *is* the point?

I like some of the monster designs, but combat is actually my least favourite part of fantasy games, so I'm not sure if it's for me!

Marie's story mode is so good - SPOILERS!

So I just finished Marie's story mode, and it's so good! I was expecting it to be sad, and in places it really was. The flashbacks to what happened to Peacock were so tragic - she let her guard down and allowed herself to feel at home, and then it was all taken away.

But what I didn't see coming was that the story would have a happy ending, and Marie would actually live! And honestly, that makes me so happy. After so many endings where the Skull Heart screws people over, Marie actually gets to win in the end and have a life with her friends. After everything she went through, she deserves it.

And as for that post credits scene...I'm suddenly in the weird position of almost rooting for Brain Drain? Sort of, not quite. Still hate him for what he did to Painwheel, but someone needs to destroy the Gods in the Skullgirls world. So I'm kind of hoping he wins?

So I'm watching Escape From New York for the first time - and really loving it! - but what I noticed is just how beautiful many of the shots are. Lots of times, I'm thinking, 'this could work as a painting or something'. For such a tense, dark film, it's gorgeous to look at!

Rest in peace to Akira Toriyama. He influenced so many people, myself included. His art was so beautiful, and his characters were works of genius who people will always love and think about.

Just on a personal note, whenever I want to draw a robot, it's his designs I always think of. That endearing, retro, 1950s sci-fi schlock look. But in truth, there's probably a dozen different ways he's inspired me over the course of his career.

Some art I did of Joker and Harley! I like making Joker look more silly than outright menacing. I love his scarier moments, but to be honest, I really enjoy Joker more when he's zanier and more lighthearted! (I kind of took a little inspiration from the LEGO Joker, which is probably my favourite version on film!)
