Try frozen blood worms or the frozen freshwater multi variety pack maybe?
If any of y'all own a betta fish I need help. My fish is dumb af and does not know what EATING IS. Like, he eats and all, and he seems perfectly healthy, but every time I drop food in his tank, he ignores it. I drop it right in front of him, but he acts like he doesn't notice. He's less than a year old, solo in a 5-gal. tank that I clean once a week, and a red dumbo. I know he eats but only after I put too many pellets in. Please help.

I'd reply if I still used my main attached to this blog.
Anyways my reply shall be here 馃槄
@whywolfprincess
It's an annoyance for sure cause it happens more often than I'd like. Thankfully most of my customers have big tanks or ponds cause I do work near the beach so there a lot of wealthy customers (one lady spent nearly $400 in one transaction JUST on dog toys alone) so it's not terribly common, but we do get ppl with kids that won goldfish at a fair during certain times of the year and people who wanna put a koi fish in a 10 gallon tank and such like the customer yesterday.
I managed to get him to upgrade to a filtered 2.5gal glass tank and switch to 2 pea puffers instead, which we have to order still, so I told him set the tank up NOW and let it cycle, still not ideal at all... but it's better than him going elsewhere and getting the bigger puffer :/ sometimes you just gotta bite your tongue and pick your battles.
But I at least have the go ahead to say no I will not sell you the fish.
I've had to do that with fish and believe it or not, plants. Had a lady kill a Dwarf Lily and Java Ferns and I was astonished. She told me originally her tank was a low light tank, so I sold her low to moderate light requirement plants. She came back, told me they had died, I asked what kind of light she had on her tank.......
None
No light whatsoever.
I'm like ma'am you cannot grow plants without a specific light for it, you said you had low light, not no light. I can't sell you a plant unless you're going to also get a light for it from somewhere, cause otherwise it's just going to die.
She told me she'd go elsewhere for a plant and huffed out. Like go ahead darling it's gonna die from there too without light.
But I wholeheartedly agree, anything less than 5 gallons shouldn't be sold with fish in mind imo
Some guy came into work the other day with his 10yr old son talkin about wanting a leopard puffer. I ask what tank it'll be going in, he shows me an unfiltered 1 gal betta bow they are abt to buy.
Tell him no way am I selling him any pufferfish for a tank that small and new. They didn't even know they got 6inches big, needed brackish water, stuff to grind their beaks down on, and that they're pretty damn aggressive when older.
Like bruh do your fuckin research.
I told them they need at LEAST 30 gallons for a single puffer and they were not lookin to do that cause they "don't have much space" well then get a fuckin 1 in nano fish for a 5 gal instead not a 6 in puffer for a 1 gal 馃槖 or maybe just maybe you don't need a fish if you're not willing to meet their bare minimum 馃憖
