New England Gothic: August
"we needed this rain" your dad says from the window, you nod solemnly, we do need the rain, but at what cost?
The "back to school" section is filled with all the essentials - pencils, notebooks, sidewalk salt, erasers, binders, snow picks
A long lines of cars crowd the highways leading out of Cape cod and Martha's vineyard, all headed south, all with Connecticut license plates
The weather is becoming unstable again. If you must leave the house make sure to bring a jacket and umbrella. It may be 90° and sunny but you learned long ago not to trust the weather man
Your friend asks if you want to go for a hike. You know better than to go for a hike, so should they. that's not your friend.
People are moving into the 18th century house across the street. They reek of new money. They wont last long, the ghosts don't like new money
You wonder when fall will come this year, with all the heat it's doubtful it will come any time before November

New England Gothic: summer edition
Over the summer some people will go to their lake houses. You will not be able to contact them until late August. They will come back changed.
"did you see the baseball game?" "Yes." You lie. You didn't see the baseball game. Neither did they. No one has. The game happens, but no one watches, they don't want you to watch the game.
There are never life guards. The chairs sit empty. There once were life guards no one knows what happened to them. Some say the sea claimed them. Others speak of sirens. But no one knows for sure.
You can hear the ice cream truck in the distance. It's always just in the distance. You can try and follow the song but it will always remain in the distance.
Around 4th of July pop up stores will appear near the Massachusetts border. They aren't allowed to have fire works, because they might awaken it, but people are always tempted by the things they are forbidden to have. The fireworks cover their screams.
Theirs a reason nothing is done about the sharks on the Cape. The sharks keep us safe from what lies just beyond. Besides it's better to lose an arm or a leg than an entire town.
If someone tells you they live on Martha's vineyard Don't talk to them again. No one lives on Martha's vineyard. People visit. But no one lives on Martha's vineyard.

I just watched Hilda on Netflix and I am making it all of your problems
First off Hilda is an animated childrens show on Netflix that HITS. I am in love with this show, I mean: the animation style, the characters, the story, EVERYTHING is just beautiful
Also this animation is really cute with dealing with things such as peer pressure, fears, ect. Hilda is also an amazing female lead she's adventurous, caring, and hilarious. But despite this I wouldn't considering it a "girls show" honestly I feel like people of all ages and all genders would enjoy the show.
Hilda is absolutely one of those shows you can just sit down to on a winter day and vibe with. Theres a basic plot line for each episode, but so an over arching plot spanning across seasons. The basic idea however is you have this girl Hilda who lives in the middle of the wilderness with her mother she has to move to trolberg (the big city) and it's about her adapting from a life in the wilderness where she befriended magical creatures and did whatever she wanted to trying to be friends with other kids and adjust to a life where magic isn't as common.
It's a beautiful story and a beautiful show. It is about 25ish minute episodes and only two seasons as of this post.
So yeah go watch it or perish (for legal reasons that is a joke)

I just watched a bootleg of Six:the musical and I'm making it all of your problems
Ok I just watched a totally legal bootleg of six the musical, and I am making it all of your problems. No I am not about to go off on historical accuracy or costume design. I want to talk about attitude, I want to explain how perfect the attitudes of the queens are.
First off Catherine of Aragon: This queen is amazing and honestly I love the way she is portrayed. She is confident, she knows what she is doing, and she isn't scared. Around the other queens she wants to lead them because she was the first, in her song you can hear the grief of Henry Divorcing her. Which makes sense because at the point of their divorce Catherine had known the royal family for at least a decade. She may not have been in love with him but she absolutely trusted him and thought him at least a friend, then he turns around and divorces her taking away all of her power. The grief, and anger, and confusion is evident in every part of her.
Anne Boleyn: I love the little looks and arguments her and Catherine have. Also i think it's interesting how she has almost a fake confidence, like throughout her song she is trying to make herself look as though she knew what she was doing though, small breaks show she didn't. Also throughout the musical she keeps trying to convince everyone else that she had it worst, which is interesting because it is as though she is trying to validate her trauma.
Jane Seymour: I really like how the character acted almost the most mature out of them all (at least in the way she holds herself), it's very motherly, which goes to show the loss of her child further. She is usually the first one to hug another queen after reliving trauma. I think they purposely made her act like this to show the depression of a lost of child and how much it hurts her. I think there is a lot to break down in this character and I don't have enough time
Anne Of Cleves: the attitude, the life, the drama! I love it. Throughout the show she doesn't even try to act like she had it bad because she knows she didn't. She has confidence but at the same time she acts almost egotistical as she was the only one to get out without any real trauma (not that she didn't go through anything)
Catherine Howard: omg I almost cried, her character, everything. Oh! It shows her innocence and throughout her song it shows how she was groomed and continually getting let down. I think it's amazing how it's obvious she is young (historically she was a teenager when beheaded I believe). She acts like one as well, confused, annoyed, stubborn. I think there's also a lot to talk about with her but not many people do. She is overlooked even in the musical and it think how they brought her to life is amazing.
Catherine Parr: the one that survived. Towards the end of the musical when she brings everyone together you can see her survivor's guilt, feeling bad that she was the only one to make it out alive. It's upsetting seeing her watch all the other queens, her hindsight in all of their lives of terrifying to see and it think she protrays the fear of marrying Henry so well in her song. I also love how by the end of the song she accepts that she survived and starts going off on Henry and showing the other queens they are more than him. She's using her time to prove that not only she but all the queens were more than who they married.
Anyway that's it, that's just some quick thoughts I had. I definitely missed a ton I wanted to say bit oh well (:

I just watched Son Of Batman and I'm making it all of your problems.
First of all the story *chief's kiss*. Beautiful. But that's only half the reason I'm here. Because omg is no one going to talk about child Damien, right out of the League of Assassin's Damien, Definitely has some miss placed anger Damien. Like this dude, this lovable IDIOT.
First of all the first time he meets batman, he just straight up judges him, this dude was probably told so many stories about how dangerous he is by his mother (based off how he talks about his last knowledge throughout the movie), and this kid is just like "eh thought you'd be taller." THIS DUDE!
Okay and also I fricken love how this dude, yeah know sees the house and is immediately "welp might as well see the rest of the property." And GOES TO FRICKEN WAYNE ENTERPRISE this kid has zero fricken understanding of where the line is and I love it. Then Bruce walks in and he just straight up accuses of one of Bruce's workers of taking money. Then when asked how he got in this fucker doesn't even give an actual answer. And that leaves so much up to the imagination considering he is in the top floor of a building only made of glass.
Moving on he meets Nightwing and just Beats Him up because oh you want to insult me okay let me assault your face.
And my favorite part of this entire fricken movie , they are trying to rescue scientist dude, and even after Bruce has told him multiple times "yeah no murder" this kid just goes for it, so Bruce is like hey no sword, thinking he won't kill with out it, and Damien just snaps a dudes neck. What was doing through Bruce's mind during that. Because all I can think he did was take a long breath and curse to himself for willingly taking another kid.
Anyways that's my take on this lovable yet idiotic kid. See ya

I made a marvel OC and I'm making it all of your problems.
Okay so I feel like SHIELD would have a super small HR team because you know, secret organization lmao. And so I thought of this dude who works in HR and hear me out.
His name is Frank, he's like in his late 30's, is ace/aro, but no one knows and everyone in SHIELD is constantly trying to set him up with people.
Now this homie is amazing, if Coulson is the Dad of SHIELD this dude is the cool uncle who everyone loves and would die for. Him and Phil have coffee every Saturday and talk about their childrens achievements. Whenever Frank sees Fury he asks him how is day is going because "he may be a scary guy and head of SHEILD but even he should be asked about his day." This dude gives hugs to all of the new recruits when they get back from their first mission because "hey you did a good job and everyone deserves a hug." Every December he spends hundreds of dollars on holiday cards and makes sure that everyone in SHIELD gets one even if it's just a card thats asking how they are.
Now frank may be apart of HR but no one is really sure if that's even his job. There are rumors that he got Fury to like him and in fear of his safety Fury gave him a job at SHIELD to keep him safe. But regardless if Frank hears about someone being bullied or harassed by their coworkers, well you are going to get a cup of hot chocolate and a day off and your bully is going to get a stern talking to, won't ever be mean to you again, and three days after you tell Frank you'll get an apology letter at your door from your bully. No one knows how frank does it but ever since he joined barley anyone has tried anything that would get them on Frank's bad side.
Frank is the person who scored a natural 20 on charisma and wisdom, but like a natural 0 of strength and dexterity. He isn't strong, no one actually knows how he got his job, but come hell or high water he's keeping his job.

Yes!!! Not to mention
From the beginning we see Eddie's goal and that goal is to take down this douchebag Scientist that is definitely doing illegal sh+t via the media and he never strays from that! He's having weird as heck symptoms of a parasite and all he needs to do is get this information to a trusty lawyer he knows. He has been run out of his apartment by a team of killers and figures out he has a parasite and all he is thinking is "gotta get this info to my ex boss who definitely thinks I'm insane"
This dude! He is the epitome of "I don't know what's going on but I do know I hate it"
Homie is drenched in sweat looking like death and probably smelling like hell and he never stops to look in a mirror to see if he has his priorities straight and I love it
I just watched Venom for the first time and I'm making it all your problems.
This movie is amazing and I've seen a lot of posts about the movie but there aren't enough posts about Dan! Honestly this dude is amazing from the start to the end. When we first see him I was expecting him to be Annes douchebag new boyfriend, bit this dude looked at the movie stereotypes and flipped them off while walking away.
In the first scene we see him, he isn't rude or judgemental towards Eddie, he doesn't even care that he's Anne's Ex. And when things are tense between Eddie and Anne, he doesn't try and pull Anne away like she's a kid, he identifies the situation and excuses himself so they can talk.
THEN THE RESTAURANT SCENE! When Eddie came in this dude was trying to protect Anne, trying to make sure Eddie didn't hurt her and once he realized she was more concerned about Eddie than herself this dude immediately switched his focus onto Eddie and trying to keep him safe. He makes sure the police aren't involved so Eddie doesn't get in any trouble, he says he's Eddie's doctor so that no one is called in. Then he brings this mf to the hospital and personally does an MRI on him.
I was so happy with Dan, I was actually excited to see him on screen. Because I was so ready for this movie to have a stereotypical "I'm better than your ex and you don't need him" this entire movie everyone involved acts like adults and not children which is a surprising and nice change from other movies not only superhero movies, but all movies.
So yes to end this rant, more movies should have people like Dan. Understanding. Wanting to do what's best. And actually listens to his girlfriend.

New England Gothic
•It starts go snow, it's May. People know better than to question it.
•Before you leave the house you're mother tells you to bring a jacket because it's cold. You're already wearing a jacket. You take another.
•You look out the window while on the highway. In the tree line there is a shadowy figure. You look away before you before it sees you staring.
•you say you don't like football. The whole room goes silent. One thousand judging eyes are on you. You realize your mistake. You try and laugh it off as a joke but even when the conversations start again you can still feel the judging looks.
•you pass a Dunkin doughnuts. You ready passed one five minutes ago. Did you go in a circle? No you couldn't have you've been driving in a straight line. Ahead of you there is another duckin doughnuts. You look across the street go see a other. When did they build all of these?
•It's late. In the middle of the road you see a deer staring at you. You swerve into the other lane to avoid it. You look in your review mirror. It wasn't a deer.
•Its the hottest day of the year. Everyone goes to the beach. No one gets into the water. You hear a mother scream and run towards the water. Only a few seconds later two children walk out of the water. There teeth and chattering and their skin is blue, they couldn't have been in their for more than five minutes.
•Some one asks where you are from. You tell them. They don't believe you. They don't believe that's a real state. It's okay. Neither do you.
