(at Jake's family farm)
Rooster(watching a goat butting into other goat, trying to pick fights):...What's that one's name?
Hangman(grins): Oh, him? I named him "Rooster".
Rooster: Funny....Wait, what about the actual rooster?
Hangman: You mean "Foghorn Leghorn"?
Rooster: Of course.
(hearing a slight ruckus, they both look over to the chicken coop, where a chicken is chasing away the rooster, and is clearly scaring some of the goats)
Rooster: Dare I ask - ?
Hangman(grins): - Don't tell Phoenix.
I recently read the book and comes across very differently. It is like Charlie is using him to find out more about the migs he saw. That I could find more believable than how the movie portrays it.
I love the fact that even tom cruise wasn't a fan of straight storyline in top gun (1986). paramount wanted top gun to be straight but everybody else on the set had another vision.
Mav: You all know Admiral Kazensky? As most of you may realize by now, he's my husband.
Ice: Pete, Why are they all looking at me like that?
Fanboy: Well, Maverick is sort of the "dad" of the team, so emotionally, this is like being told you're our new mom.
Ice: But you know it's nothing like that, right?
Hangman: Absolutely, do you make macaroni?
Yassen: never makes mistakes, careful and calculated, all-round basically infallible
Also Yassen, Eagle Strike book: time to leave my gun and unpassworded phone in plain view, for no reason whatsoever, an entire corridor and flight of stairs away while I go for a lil sleepy-sleep
ALT TEXT: Just rolled over for a cuddle. Forgot I'm single. Fell off the bed.
Rooster says the above to Phoenix.
Hangman: *sidles up, having overheard*
Hangman: "I could help with that you know..."
Rooster: What, pushing me out of bed?
Phoenix: *face palms*
Hangman: *raises an eyebrow*
Hangman: "Good thing you're pretty Bradshaw."
Hangman: "I meant the cuddling and being single..."
top gun parallels: wingman/having my back
-> when tim minear said the 7x04 basketball scene was inspired by the infamous top gun volleyball scene, my brain was already here first
