hi y'all so. this is not like my prior mutual aid posts bc it's not really for me...so my grandma's 88 w like advanced Alzheimer's and serious diabetes and needs constant medical care and my dad had to put her in a care home specifically for this reason, and he's trying to get her a spot in a philanthropic home but it's really hard to get that over here and he's really struggling to make his own rent + pay for her stay and her medication 🥹 so if yall wanna help an indigenous family from brasil I would love u forever!!! 🥹 i take commissions & i have a resource blog filled w free themes and some resources and icons and if you find anything over there useful, consider giving my family some help? no amount is ever too small and anything helps. thank u so much 🙏🏽💘💓🕯️🧿

Life throws you a bone and then kicks you while you're sort of getting up...

So, I need some help—

My dog Pavarotti is sick again. Last time, he got a really bad infection called Ehrlichiosis and it almost killed him. I was with him day in and day out until i nourished him back to help and spent almost $1K on it. This infection sort of stays in their system doormat and might come back from time to time. So yesterday he wasn't eating and I noticed he was warmer than usual and he had a goopy eye, so i schedule a vet appointment and it turns out he has the infection again .

To be clear: there are no ticks in my home. We assume he got that infection when he ventured out the gate to hang out on the previously empty lot next to our house. My other dogs are fine and healthy.

I am so fucking heartbroken because he's a senior dog, but I am not going to deny him his treatment. Last time I spent around 1,000 dollars which is a big dent in my savings and I cannot afford to do it again (even though I will because I won't let him suffer).

I know we're all super tight on money, it's a new year, we just came out of a busy and sad holiday season, and I hate asking people for money but I've had him for 11 years and he's one of my babies and so sweet, and I just can't fucking lose him right now over something I know is fixable.

So, I'm asking for a little help. I don't know how much this will run me but I'm gonna ask for at least something to cover his medicine and some lab expenses. If you can donate even a dollar, I'd really, really appreciate it.
