for me, the problem isn't just gr*ham p*tter, it's the fact that new owners are willing to give him seemingly endless chances when tuchel backed chelsea at its toughest time & got thrown out on his ass as thanks. no one wanted to give him any time. so, inconsistency and weird questionable decisions. Then, this coach is either really bad at football or at coaching, because after months its still a giant mess and there is not even a hint at any structural changes or tactics in place. more questions.

the problem isn't just the coach, its the players that (aside from a handful exceptions) don't seem to have motivation to give anything to the game. they dont try to play. they just kinda... show up. tuchel could at least make them run in the direction of attack every now n then, but now some of these players are way too comfy where they are and don't seem to care. this puts all the more strain on the handful that does, and therefore they leave noticeable holes when injured or out.

the problem isnt just the injuries either, mind you. chelsea struggled with that last season too, with key players being out for extended periods. still it wasn't as bad as this, because there was some structure that players still fit into. now, its mayhem. they look like theyve never seen a ball before. half the passes miss, other half they just straight up give to the opponent or worse, the goalie. yesterday they hadnt even attempted a shot on goal until an hour in. this is no team, it's just a random collection of extremely confused individuals in identical shirts. no wonder the fans don't want to see that.

to me, if you coach chelsea, you should have tools in your arsenal to motivate players, to shuffle them around, to work around injuries, to use resources available. if you own chelsea, you should keep people around that have proven loyal and talented. that includes players. if they dont wanna be here, out. if they dont want to fight, if they dont contribute to the club, if they're no damn use to anybody, out. if they have had since SEPTEMBER to do something with all the resources a high level pl club offers, and the """""team""""" still looks like this - out.

might not instantly get better but it really, really can't get much worse.
