Jurda Parem effects

So I’ve been thinking and while I may never get the answer here’s what I think would happen to grisha we didn’t see taking jurda parem and possible withdrawal effects.

Heartrender- obviously we know what happens here just go look at my baby Nina

Healer- although jurda parem seemed to cause the same abilities as a heartrender I feel the withdrawal will be slightly different. So instead of being able to control dead matter I’d like to think they’d be able to control animals and be able to read a person’s mind. Mostly because this is a more delicate power and healers are more delegate then heartrenders.

Inferni- we never saw an inferni on jurda parem and honestly I’m struggling to think how there power’s could be amplified apart from becoming a raging inferno and maybe becoming a human torch (see fantastic4). Who really knows? As regards to the withdrawal I have a pretty good idea that instead of being able to create flames and heat I believe they’d do the opposite and generate cold and possibly ice. A little bit too obvious but it’s what I’m going for.

Squaller- with the drug squallers where able to fly. The withdrawal I believe would lose their squaller abilities and instead be able to manipulate sound. We’ve already see them do a little bit of this but that was using air pressure, in this case they would control sound itself silencing it, making it unbearably loud and creating physical attacks out of it.

Tidemaker- grisha taking jurda parem could manipulate the state of matter. I think that the withdrawal would cause them to lose the ability to manipulate water naturally but be able to manipulate it in plants and therefore have control over plant life, much like Elizaveta.

Durast- on the drug grisha where able to manipulate matter at a greater level changing lead to gold and creating cyborgs. I think that after the drug grisha would no longer be able to manipulate matter or control it in any way instead being able to repel themselves from it giving them basically telekinetic powers.

Alkemi- honestly a little unsure what these grisha can actually do normally, online it just says they specialise on poisons and blasting powders. Of that I’d say they’d be able to have control over poisons, possibly turn a person’s blood acidic and stuff like that, and be able to create an explosion through touch. Withdrawal would cause them to become poison itself, think Katherine from three dark crowns. They’d be immune to all the poisons and then there touch/kiss/blood would poison people.

Sun Summoner- (is there a fancy name for this? Sun Summoner is just a bit bland) being able to manipulate light I think people on the drug would be able to go a step further from what Alina could do making people invisible and then be able to create illusions. After the drug sun summoner would find it hard to manipulate light but instead be able to manipulate a different part of the electromagnetic spectrum and manipulate gamma rays. Thus basically becoming a radioactive bomb.

Shadow Summoner- (again a better name?) I guess if the darkling was to take the drug he wouldn’t need Alina to control the fold. I’d say he’d be able to become a living shadow and move anywhere with ease. After the drug shadow summoners would be left empty and need to draw on other people’s energy in order to fill this void. Through this they’d be impervious to a lot of grisha attacks and would be able to absorb their energy to create energy blasts.

Tailors- including these here even though I know they’re not technically a grisha order. On the drug tailors would be able to shapeshift with ease transforming into any body, possibly into animals as well. And given they’re a mix of fabrikator and corpalinki they’d have heightened abilities in that aspect, basically being able to do what a normal grisha in those orders could do. After the withdrawal I think there power’s would flip, so instead of being able to transfer physical properties to a person they’d be able to animate physical objects causing things like a coffee cup to come alive (in my head I see Genya recreating the entirety of Beauty and the beast).

Anyway that’s my thoughts about grisha and jurda parem. They may be nonsense rambling or I may be on to something. I hope we get to see more grisha taking parem, even if that is a little evil of me, so I can see if any of my predictions are true. Show!Wylan really thought he was so inadequate that the guy he had a one night stand with and clearly liked not only didn't remember him:

Which given the context of his backstory in the book that is starting to be revealed in the show [if you don't want spoilers, don't read this] that Wylan's rich merchant father kicked him out for not being able to read and constantly belittled him the entirety of his life, making him constantly feel inadequate, which is why he was so ashamed to tell Jesper he couldn't read- and so it's heartbreaking when you put this opening to their relationship in this context, when Jesper (unknowingly) was reaffirming what Wylan has been told his whole life

And then the cinematic poetry that was making the contrast scene in the same location:

This scene is him telling Wylan 'In the beginning, I probably would have left you like I leave all the others, but after getting to know you, I've found you are worth staying for', he is telling Wylan, who was always told himself as he is isn't good enough, that Jesper loves him more after getting to know more about him.

I think season 3 will explore this concept more. The whole point is that Wylan has these things that he thinks he is unlovable for, but then as Jesper and the crows knows him more, they find out about these 'unlovable parts' and they still love him, showing Wylan true love that he hasn't really experienced before, so like, as much as I love slowburn wesper, I don't think speed running their relationship ruins it, I think it still leaves room for and provides necessary and relevant character arcs and character growth in really interesting ways that still tie to the book in tons of ways that matter
