Today's video pick is a special one for me. I've loved Garfield since I was a kid. It was always the first comic I read in the Sunday paper. (Some of you may be too young to know or remember, but the main tv stations had Saturday morning cartoons, and the paper had Sunday comic strip sections. Those were the days.) I watched every Garfield cartoon and every holiday special. The Christmas one was always my favorite. Garfield and Odie spend time with Jon's whole family at their farm and it's such a wholesome special. What I loved most was Jon's grandmother. I swear to you on my life, she looks, sounds, and acts EXACTLY like my great-grandmother, whom I miss dearly. If you love good wholesome sweet mushy funny animated specials, this one's for you. And the whole thing is on youtube too!

Song choice for today is another one I don't hear as often as I did when I was younger. Who doesn't love Paul McCartney??? This one was always a favorite. Still is now.
Maybe this is the wrong platform to pose this question given the average tumblr user but
Is it just me or did our generation (those of is who are currently 20-30 ish) just not get the opportunity to be young in the 'standard' sense?
Like, everyone I talk to who's over 40 has all their wild stories about their teens and 20s, being young and dumb, and then I talk to my friends and coworkers and classmates, and we just... dont.
