i think i’ve found i’m actually really influenced by the art styles of newspaper comic strips, not that i’ve studied them or even read a lot of them lately but i did when i was a kid, and when i look at them now i’m like ohhh i love that/i can see myself doing that

#i think maybe i will actually study them or take a closer look #they have a really good vibe #i think one of the things i like most and can relate to is creating a design that can be replicated easily (with practice) #for them it’s probably necessity to produce the comics regularly/on schedule but i just like it
