ok im really curious do you guys have books you consider your "white whale"? as in books you keep telling yourself oh yeah i really want to read that, but you keep not reading it?

My brain has been better than usual today! I got up in time to practice reading the verses for Hebrew before class. One of my classmates and I planned to get lunch together but class got out early so we sat in the library and it was just the right amount of time to finish all my course evaluations. We went to a restaurant I'd never tried because it looked suspicious in both an overpriced and a not-very-good way. But the prices were actually somewhat reasonable, and the food was really good! It was a nice time.

I finished listening to God's Ghostwriters: Enslaved Christians and the Making of the Bible by Candida Moss today, and I'd definitely recommend it!

I even managed to be productive this afternoon despite coming home instead of going back to work in the library. I did some reading and gathering of sources on Samaritans for my paper on Luke 17. I have a couple ancient primary sources and a couple secondary sources that I think will be helpful. I think I have a clearer idea now about what questions I should be asking, which will help me know where to look for answers. Sometime in the next week I need to do the same thing for leprosy. Add on a little Greek study and I'll just about have a paper!

I'm grocery shopping tonight. H is going out of town this weekend so she can celebrate Passover with family. I'm hoping that finals won't bog me down so that I'll get to enjoy my last weekend of having the kitchen to myself. I want to buy groceries that will be fun to use.

I might buy cream and make ice cream over the weekend.
