(hands Arthur this quote)
Arthur, attempting to decipher a Demonic Ritual filled with Evil Magicks: A large pentagram on the floor, an altar, a large black kettle, and a black robe.
Lucy, who Refuses to take him seriously: A pointy hat, a broomstick-
Arthur: -HEY MAN-
Lucy: -Three newts-
Arthur: -This is serious-
Lucy: -A lizard tongue, EYEBALL-
Arthur is Displeased. “Of course that creature would do such a thing. It has no dignity.”

Her eyes widened, before she just... slumped into it, starting to cry again. Her wings came out, wrapping around him as much as possible. Warm...
The child was just. sitting on top of a dumpster, exhausted and comepletely curled up.
-Lucy <3
A child, in his alleyway? More likely than he thought. The bombhead tilted his head slightly, somewhat confused by the sight. He walked up to her, gently poking her forehead.

"!-" She flinched at the touch, one eye opening to see who touched her. It was dad? A bombhead, sadly not one that seemed familiar at all. She sighed and rubbed her eyes, red and puffy from crying. "D-do you... Need something?"

"Then let's get going, hm?"
A hand gets extended to viper, a portal leading to Lucy's room behind opening them.
A small child sat up against the base of a tree, knees against her chest, and weakly sobbing between shakey breathes. What had happened to her. She thankfully didn't look physically injured, but was obviously very distressed.
-@ask-lucy-the-demon
Viper hadn’t been expecting to find a tiny sad child, but they seemed to really like going into the woods for some reason. Maybe it was the quiet, or the lack of humans that made it such an attractive place for distressed young people. But now he was faced with the problem of a child who was sad, and that was a problem he knew how to help with. He slowly crawled closer, looking as nonthreatening as possible as he moved on all fours. “Rrrrr..? Hello? Small?”

"No. more. running. Let's show them what we can do. We chould head back to my place to plan and gather supplies, figure out our targets, and people we could recruit."

At his words, they nodded and nuzzled into him. No more, she had enough.
"It's so bad, none of us should have to go through what we already have, and what we'll keep going through if nothing changes."
A small, angry grin came across her face, tears forcing themselves back as a growl festered in her chest.
"They will know our pain. They have to. If they're gonna hunt us, let's give them a reason to truly fucking fear us."
And she'd find a way to bring back those they'd all lost. Through any means necceary. she had to.

"...At this point, would it be us being the hunter? It'd- it'd just be us protecting ourselves."
She nuzzled back, her voice cracking.
"We need to fight back. We can't- we can't keep living like this. I don't know who m-might be picked off next if we don't fight back, and, and I don't want to."
She nodded at his words. that was a concern.
"Mhm. We don't need to give them more excuses."

"it's all so stupid! Why... why do we put up with this?"
She snuggled into him, A mix between a growl and a sob coming from her.
"I-if they're g-gonna-" *sob* "gonna try an' k-kill us either w-way.. Then l-let's..."
She breathed in, trying to calm herself.
"Let's give them a reason- a reason to be afraid of us."

"...Those tricks aren't gonna fuckin' work on me."
They honestly said that so quietly it'd be a miracle if Updike heard more than say, 2-3 words of what she had said. Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes, again.
Updike was just sitting outside a cafe, relaxing as he sipped on his hot cocoa while his two kids were inside getting some sweets.
He glanced around and noticed a small child that seemed to be completely by themselves. Not only that, but they seemed really upset. Maybe they were lost?
Updike put down his drink and went over to Lucy.
”excuse me, but are you ok?”
-@fatherly-cloud
Lucy was just sitting on a dumpster near the end of the alleyway, having ran out of tears to cry. God. damnit. Why couldn’t it have gone different? That’s when Updike approached? She was on edge instantaneously. Fuck it, if they were going to treat her kind like they were guilty until proven innocent, she was going to do the same to them. She scooted a little bit away from him, looking at him with suspicion as her tail flicked left and right.
“…I’m fine.”

"Mhm! It's so unfair! They're so unfair!! "
This was all so stupid, stupid and wrong and stupid and WRONG! She sobbed a couple more times, still crying.
"It's all so bad!! They want us dead and get suprised when we fight back? Of course we fight back! They would too, if they were us!"
A small child sat up against the base of a tree, knees against her chest, and weakly sobbing between shakey breathes. What had happened to her. She thankfully didn't look physically injured, but was obviously very distressed.

"Y-yeah, and? It doesn't matter."
She didn't know if this was a trick or not, some Updikes were amazing liars. That was not a risk she was willing to take. She was not letting her family fall victim to another one.

Lucy's voice was full of suspicion. She didn't trust him, she couldn't trust him, that was clear. Nor could she keep eye contact for more than a few seconds before looking away.

"Like, I think the Updike that killed him didn't want to but thought he had to! Which is almost worse 'cause it means someone fooled him!"
None of this was fair, none of it! Dad didn't deserve to die, no anomaly deserved to die for being an anomaly.
"Y-yeah W-we're people, no- no matter what! It's all so stupid! Stupid stupid stupid!"
She shouted as loud as she could, her voice echoing throuhout the woods.

Her breathing got more frantic, the child not being able to go five seconds without her breath hitching, or her hiccuping. She just- AUGH! None of this was okay! In between sobs, her tone got more... frustrated, yet still full of intense anguish.
"I didn't do anything to deserve this! Hex didn't, Virus didn't, Red didn't, and he certainly didn't, no matter what that peice of SHIT cloud has to say about it..!"
She was practically wailing at this point, a shakey growl eminating from her chest.

"It's n-not fair..! I want my dad back, I want my dad back, I w-waNT MY DAD BA-HA-HACK! Why- wh-why couldn't ha-have it been me!?"
She clung onto Viper, sobbing much louder than before. She felt so... bad. Dad was gone and she couldn't do everything and it all was crashing down and she didn't know how to make it stop and she just... she just... she...
