Here are 2 interviews with Colin Murdock, the voice of Nozzaire. In the first one at 15:20 he does a little Nozzaire and Gadget impression, and in the second at 1:33 he talks about working in animation field and also tells a funny story how Maurice LaMarche came about voicing Gadget, starting with underwater scenes in the OG and then becoming the voice of Gadget in GatG series.

It’s amazing that he chose to talk about the GatG 17 years after its release. You can see he truly enjoyed the role and working with Maurice. It’s something you don’t see very often.

PS: I looked up a few Jean Chrétien’s speeches and he really does speak somewhat like Nozz (especially in his early speeches like this one: https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/1735304206)

Extended Fan-made Cut of Inspector Gadget (1999)

The amazing Slayer Santiago made an extended cut of the movie featuring lots of deleted scenes and some photos. He also added effects and music from the IG1983 to preserve the spirit of the original series. He did such a great job, you just have to see it.

He also made remixed versions of the movie theme and 'I'll Be Your Everything', be sure to check them out too.

I'll never understand this crazy need to escape reality, cuz it comes with "bad things". Fine, you can play along with this nonsense and set up your own filters but don't force people into your theater by making these settings default for everyone dammit. And knowing Tumblr, literally any innocent post can get marked as mature, cutting off lots of great artwork.

I'm tired of companies banning everything because of some whiners. Why does the whole platform have to be turned inside out to not hurt the little feelings of some minority? It's not our neither the company's problem. If a kid is so scared of the harsh reality of this world then don't go on the internet or set up a parental control.

Life is not a safe place. There is no safe place. You can't change it, so better get used to it. Otherwise you don't survive. No matter how we feel about it, it stays that way.

I'll forever be for artistic freedom and freedom of posting anything you want (as long as it's not death threats and so on). It's sad to see the list of big platforms where you can do that rapidly shrinking.

A fanfic idea

Some mornings I like to watch 1994 Inspector Rex on TV. You know, the classic of ‘90s cop movies.

I wonder, maybe Gadget had already had Brain before he became Penny’s guardian and together they had been solving crimes just like in that series. Think of an endless number of plots for these two. Gadget would work in a team with other investigators and then make a name for himself, quickly promoting to the rank of Inspector. He probably wouldn’t be a cyborg and that clueless at the time, because I don’t see how one can earn such a rank while being so incompetent. Like, imagine he once had a normal life and then it all was ended by his accident. It would be nice to see some serious, realistic representation of his former self.

I just adore the French IG theme and think Jacques Cardona did such a great impression of Gadget’s voice. Whenever I listen to it I can’t help but imagine Gadget joyfully calling on to his gadgets. If it wasn’t for Don Adams, it would've been a great voice for him.

I wanted to isolate the vocals and get an instrumental so I’ve fed the song through the AI. It’s not perfect, but anyway, here are the instumental and vocals. Enjoy!

Today I was watching Mysteries Decoded on TV (specifically the Montauk project episode, claming the US government succeeded at its time travel experiments) and a thought came to my mind. It is known that 20th century was filled with all kinds of crazy, extremely unethical experiments on people, and no wonder IG came out in the 80s: it would be the perfect time for presenting the 1st cyborg to the world. Maybe nobody cared for Gadget’s feelings and consent? Were there subjects before him that didn’t make it through the transformation? Would it all stay top secret and only be declassified after his death?

Back then, people were also fascinated by new tech of the decade and thought about/feared the idea of making cyborgs outta people, and probably that’s where the show creators got their inspiration from. GatG and 2015 shows, on the contrary, make it seem like it’s not a big deal to have a cyborg detective walking around solving cases. Like, given the technologies they have, wouldn’t they be able to start mass production of at least police and millitary cyborgs?

I know it’s all pretty logical but still. It just hit me so suddenly and I decided to share it. Would love to read your thoughts!

Posting here the models I ripped from the GatG PS2 game some time ago. They include 15 Gadget, 1 Fidget and 1 Digit models. I wanted to rig them but never had the time. Perhaps some of you may do it, which would be great!

I may get back to this game and try to rip the animations. Of course if it’s even possible lol.

I'm alive and in the middle of translating a couple of fanfics - one is my own and the other one I hope I'll get a permission to post. I've been swamped with my studies lately and I wish I could devote more time to my beloved passion of translating. Though it's quite challenging to do literary translation (especially into English), I've chosen it as my major. Anyway, it's great to have a lot of practice after a year off that I took. Soon there will be 2 more Nozzaire-centered fics on Ao3 and Fanfiction.net.
