Saturnian Way of Life

Saturn really has a way of taking care of his children. Almost everyone I know who have strong Saturn energy in their birth chart, or at least embody Saturn's ideals in their life reaches a different level of stability and success in what they do.

A Saturnian might even feel surprised as to how things have become easier for them over time. As a believer of the stars and things having a higher reason for happening, it is no coincidence that Saturn breaks so a stronger foundation can be built. Things did not become easier, you are just in a more stable time. This is Saturn's way of rewarding you for all your efforts and hard work.

Saturn in Aries & Saturn in the 5th House

I personally believe that there is no bad placement. However, there are placements that are extra challenging to navigate compared to others.

One of these placements is Saturn in Aries. Saturn in Aries natives often find themselves in a restricting household that affected them in a way they may not realize until they get older. One of the ways these placements can manifest is growing up with strict parents who have tendencies to always see you as a child. Because of this, Saturn in Aries individuals often have this repressed inner child that seemingly wants to come out all the time but is also so uncomfortable to do so at the same time.

This becomes more challenging with Saturn in the 5th House. I have noticed these individuals often have fathers (or father figures) that were very adamant about the way they should behave in certain scenarios - leading to their inner child being repressed so as to accommodate the authority figure.

Why I will always respect Astrology

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and we are allowed to like and dislike things. Just for my own personal growth, astrology has explained so many things about me that science could not. Some are:

1. The guilt whenever I crave attention and have fun for the sake of ego and getting noticed, rather than doing it genuinely - Saturn in Aries, Saturn in the 5th House

2. Why I have attracted tumultuous relationships in my life - Venus in Cancer, Venus in the 8th House

3. Why I seemed intimidating, serious, does not know how to have fun - Capricorn Moon, Capricorn Stellium, Saturn in 5th House, Scorpio Rising, Pluto 1st House

4. Why I have a stroke of genius in my ideas, why I seemed to be always ahead of my time - Mercury in Virgo, Mercury-Uranus trine, Uranus in Aquarius

5. Why I have so many anxious thoughts, but also my words have this extreme power over people - Mercury in Virgo, Mercury-Pluto Sextile

These are just a few of it. Astrology was the missing puzzle piece in my journey of complete and total understanding of myself and what it means to genuinely accept myself. For this reason, I will always respect astrology and continuously honor it in my craft.

"My tarot deck hates me."

Majority of new readers I have met fall into a period of slump where they feel that the craft does not like them as much as they want to learn it. In reality, your tarot deck does not hate. Tarot demands respect and if it senses that the diviner (reader) does not have that both towards the deck and themselves, it will turn away from you. So what can you do then?

1. "I only get negative cards. My deck hates me."

Perhaps try rephrasing your question. Maybe you have asked a similar question in the past which your deck has answered already. Maybe you are asking a question you already know the answer to and your deck is sensing that you don't trust yourself with the answer so even if it confirms that for you, what happens next? If you don't trust yourself, how can tarot trust you to reveal secrets and messages across the realms?

2. "The cards that came out do not make sense to me. My deck hates me."

If it is interpreting the cards that is the problem, brush up on your tarot notes or open the guidebook that comes with the deck. As with any form of learning, learning tarot is a continuous process too.

3. "My predictions do not come true. My deck hates me."

Ahh, tricky. Perhaps you asked the wrong question? Maybe interpreted the message wrongly? Or maybe it's because it is a prediction. Not every prediction tarot gives us will come true because tarot works on the Universe's energy. Therefore, there may be things in the background that changes your fate or your querent's fate.

4. "The messages I give do not resonate at all. My deck hates me."

Simplify to amplify. Sometimes readers overwhelm themselves due to the cards' varied meanings depending on how they land on the spread. When this happens, focus. Focus on your questions. Focus on your client's questions. That way, the answers will easily come to you.

5. "I don't get any answers at all. My deck hates me."

Maybe it's not the deck that's the problem. Maybe the answers right now are denied by the powers that be for reasons unknown to us in this realm. Just because we read tarot, does not mean we are privy to the Universe's business.

Saturn in Aries/ First House:

Earth and fire may be incompatible but in terms of modalities, Aries and Capricorn (ruled by Saturn) are both cardinal in nature. Here, Saturn already knows you have the drive. Saturn already knows that you take an initiative. But drive and initiative needs grounding. Saturn teaches you to ground your ideas and your passion so your fire will not fizzle out as you go on. Think of the quote, “it’s a war, not a battle.”

Saturn in Taurus/Second House:

No, your finances are not doomed. Saturn wants you to approach your finances with care. The Second House is the House of Value and in a materialistic world, it is easy to get all caught up with our material goals that we become greedy and lose sight of what's important. Saturn wants you to learn that true financial stability comes from discipline not only in financial abundance but in the way you handle them too.

Saturn in Gemini/Third House:

Saturn likes Gemini’s quick thinking and adaptability and because of that Saturn teaches you stability and direction with your thoughts. Gemini’s mutable and airy nature is somehow more directed in Saturn. Saturn teaches you to discard any information in your mind that does not serve any purpose there so you can focus your mental resources on what matters.

Saturn in Cancer/Fourth House:

Perhaps the most baseless thing I have read about this placement is that you are doomed to have problems in your family life. No. Cancer protects themselves and the people they value and Saturn teaches you to not drown in that love. So others will not drown in it too. Cancer is cardinal water and Capricorn is cardinal earth. They may be opposite at first glance but earth allows water to flow with form. 

Saturn in Leo/Fifth House:

Saturn knows you want to shine. Saturn also knows how egoistic you can be. Saturn restricts so you will learn that the only way you will truly shine is if you do something borne out of a desire to simply just be you. Saturn wants you to learn not to give in to the cheers and the fanfares so you will not attach your value on other people’s view of you.

Saturn in Virgo/Sixth House:

Ah. Another victim of the “placements-people-think-are-boring” squad. Saturn works well with Mercurial signs like Gemini and Virgo. In this sign/house, Saturn likes Virgo’s methodical and analytical thinking. Both enjoy their routines and both enjoy giving purpose to that routine. The challenge here is to not get too stuck in the idea that routine and comfort zone is all that there is for you. 

Saturn in Libra/Seventh House:

Friendships and relationships may come with challenges in this placement and Saturn's lesson for you is to rise above the superficiality that shows in your connections. Saturn wants to help you build relationships, platonic or romantic, that are long-lasting even when it has to be with a few people only. Think of "quality over quantity".

Saturn in Scorpio/Eight House:

Scorpio’s raw and intense energy is a bit toned down in Saturn. I have come across several posts saying that Saturn brings problems in the areas of sex but Scorpio and the Eighth House are not just about sex. This is the placement and house of transformation. In here, Saturn wants you to learn that you can surrender to the transformation by grounding your emotions. Not bottling up your feelings and pushing them down even when it does not benefit you.

Saturn in Sagittarius/Ninth House:

Although Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, whose approach tend to be opposite to Saturn, both are committed to the importance of ethics and dedication. In this sign and house, Saturn restricts so you will learn to examine and make sure that you are not skipping any steps in areas of higher thinking and spirituality; just like how high-rise buildings need stable scaffoldings.

Saturn in Capricorn/Tenth House:

Saturn is in domicile in Capricorn and the Tenth House. Anything that Saturn stands for is innate to you. The lesson here is for you to not get too comfortable and dogmatic. Think of growing up and being in the same place for most of your life. I do birth chart readings online but only with a few placements as full birth chart readings take up much of my time with how detailed I am. I do, however, charge for it as - like I said, I am really detailed and take it seriously.

Things I wish someone told me as a sole "witch" in the family.

There are some of us who are the first ones to have spiritual abilities and acknowledge that we actually have them. If you are like me, here are the things I wish someone told me. I said "witch" because I cannot think of another term that will sum up what I am.

That I am not going crazy. I remember the first few months my abilities showed up, there was never a day I did not question my sanity. Academically, I studied psychology. So I knew the signs when someone is losing their reality grip. I even made a list of the things I see and hear. I would see shadow figures and I'd dismiss it as just my imagination or maybe a perception error. "it's an animal, not a shadow". I'd hear people's thoughts and I'm like "No way in hell you can read people's minds like that".

The more you resist, the harder it's going to be. When I started acknowledging that there's something going on, things were easier. I accepted that what I see and hear are tangible and real. They are not a product of my imagination. Though I do not have a full understanding of what they are, I was not as scared.

Astrology is more than your sun sign. Almost a year when I started getting visions, I stumbled upon a post that talked about natal charts: what it is and what it means. I studied my natal chart and then Eureka! It all makes sense now. Essentially, astrology was the missing puzzle piece to help me understand what's going on.

Your guides are not always aesthetically pleasing compared to how they make it seemed in the media. I navigated spirituality and the occult on my own. So when the guides started to slowly make themselves known to me, it was another crisis because I didn't know how to distinguish when someone is a guide who I meet in dreams, or a malevolent being trying to lure me.

Spirituality and occult are essential parts of life. As human beings, we are multi-faceted. Our physical, emotional, and mental needs are just a component of what we are. Spirituality is our relationship with our faith - not religion. The occult, is not something to be feared; it's just another language that not a lot speak, therefore a lot also don't understand it. And when we do not understand something, we fear it.

So if you are a first generation witch or occultist, here's to you. When you are overwhelmed, and have no idea what you're going through is for, remember: The path is not easy - but it is worth it.

Hell hath no fury than a Taurus and Scorpio scorned.

If you are a Taurus, Scorpio, or someone with major Venus, Pluto, 2nd house and 8th house influences, you know what I am talking about the moment you read the title.

For those who do not know, here's a quick dive on the Taurus-Scorpio axis (and also a fair warning to not bother them when they are minding their own business):

Taurus, ruled by Venus, is a fixed earth sign. Scorpio, ruled by Pluto, is a fixed water sign. These signs generally do well when left alone. Taurus, symbolized by a bull, does not charge at anyone.. unless you egg it to chase after you when you wave a red cloth on its face. Scorpio, symbolized by a scorpion, does not just sting at anyone.. unless you provoke it because when you do, it's sting is not just a sting. It's lethal.

And when these two get hurt? They don't let it go. I don't believe it when people say "a developed Taurus/Scorpio knows how to forgive." Na-uh. Forgiving is essentially going against their nature. What people see as being vindictive, for these signs it's justice. People do not know how to react to this side of Taurus/Scorpio because of society's view that people who are revengeful are supposed to be miserable. Naaaah. These two can hold it against someone for days on end - and will do it flawlessly and beautifully. These puzzles people because they are like "WHY ARE THEY NOT MISERABLE WHY ARE THEY UNBOTHERED" (yes, in all caps). The answer: That's on Venus and Pluto energy.
