Sometimes I forget that real life is not like social media.
People, people close to me, the people I love, are transphobes, mysoginists, criticise humans because of their way of acting, clothes, fatness or sexuality.
The communities I'm part of are really liberal, we share about gender, sexuality, inclusion and new ideas for a brighter future, but thanks to this experience, I realised that the internet mantains us in our bubbles of the things we like or the things we agree with.
What I'm trying to say, if you don't see what you don't want to see, you should investigate, inform yourself. Realising how much negativity is still constant in our society was heartbreaking for me, but was the dose of realism I needed, and now I'm ready to keep on fighting for our rights.
Let's get out of our bubbles.

Encanto, Villain Mirabel AU ¡!
I'M A MONSTER IK
🚨Warning: mentions and events related to death, resentment and revenge, although not too detailed descriptions.🚨
What if Mirabel's heart was darker than we though?
After the fight with abuela, and Casita's destruction, Mirabel stared directly into the once miracle, feeling hellish hate to the responsible of all this tragedy, Alma.
Julieta ran to her, asked if she was okay, but there was no other answer than a weak head assent.
They heard Pepa's cries for help, something had happened, something even worse, if that was possible.
Antonio wasn't responding, the back of his head was red and humid, all his nuclear family was hugging him, then he had his last breath.
"What is going to happen to Antonio?" "Why isn't he breathing?" Camilo asked in denial, while Dolores, speechless, had a dark expression, Pepa and Félix crying incosolably over their deedless kid.
"Mirabel, what have you done?" abuela asked lowly, Mirabel didn't answer, she just stared with a neutral expression over her inert cousin. "You just killed my grandson, you-" Abuela said with a rough voice.
Mirabel claimed she did nothing but try to save the candle, with dry eyes and furrowed eyebrows. "This is your fault, the magic was stronger than ever, and you just ruined everything, like you always do."
Tears danced in her cheeks, Julieta and Agustín approached to her, also crying, but Mirabel's pain transitioned to an uncontrolable fury.
Abuela came closer to Mirabel, with a menacing face, Agustín and Julieta came in between, defending their daughter, who just went through them and stood firmly infront the older woman.
"You are not longer a Madrigal, you never should have been" spat abuela.
"You are right" a sick smile painted her face, her pupils were as small as a grain of rice, "I'm even more".
omg what-💀 Part 2 is on its way 🎶
I'm in exams so this is my coping mechanism 🧃Peace ya'll

Ok but what if whenever Dolores gets too overwhelmed because of the noise and can't identify words and sounds, Mariano pulls out a notebook and they have a silent written conversation.
They end up with a book full of ideas, drawings, poems and some anecdotes.
Supportive Mariano makes me go📈📈

Encanto, using social media ¿?
Which social media would the Madrigals use the most?
Isabela: Pinterest. She would probably post more on Instagram but 40% of her screentime is on Pinterest looking for ideas, designs or just aesthetic photos.
Luisa: Whatsapp. She only uses it to talk to her relatives and 2 or 3 friends, wouldn't really spent a lot of time using the phone.
Mirabel: Tumblr. Where she would post her clothing, crafts and sometimes uses it as a diary to just express herself. Of course, no one that knows her on real life is aware of this.
Dolores: Instagram. She would be like a model with thousands of followers, but most of the profiles she follows are meme/shitpost pages.
Camilo: (I couldn't decide so I made 2 options haha)
Option 1: TikTok. UHM YEA he would post comedic things like pranks and sometimes he would just upload videos like "Outfits with café vibes" and do that thing fashion tiktokers do.
Option 2: Discord. MEME LORD AND SHITPOST MASTER. He would be on like 702742949480 servers but is only active like in 2.
Antonio: Roblox. He insists that is a social media since Pepa and Félix won't let him download anything else, but still had made some friends with Dolores' supervision.
Abuela Alma: Facebook. Would share fake news all day in the family group, also post those kind of images that say "GOD BLESS YOU HAVE A NICE DAY".
Bruno: Twitter. He would open his phone every time Jupiter aligns with Saturn, but when he does he just check the 4 rat-themed pages he follows.
Julieta: YouTube. Her recommendations are full of recipes, cooking tips and classical music playlists, she likes every video she watches and has posted like 2 videos showing her own recipes, recorded with the help of Mira.
Agustín: Quora. YEA HE IS THE KIND OF PERSON THAT ASKS EVERYTHING HERE. He also answers music or parenting related questions.
Pepa: Reddit. She uses Facebook infront of others but when she is alone she goes to her community to read jokes or just watch drama, who do you think Camilo inherited the shitpost vibes from?
Félix: TikTok. Dolores showed one video once and after that he got obsessed, you know, dad jokes, cumbia dancing videos and sketches. He had tried to post with Pepa, but she refuses every single time.
THIS.WAS.SO.FUN.TO.WRITE
This is just my opinion and I'd love to read any other point of view. Peace ¡!🧃

I imagined Antonio's kid (or kids) going to abuela Pepa, tío Camilo or one of their many tías for comfort because no matter how many years he's had of practice to talk to humans he's still not great at sugarcoating things and accidentally made them cry but ultimately knowing their papá loves them and constantly being reminded of that by him.
Just like he's not great at lying or omitting bad things he absolutely can't stop himself from saying nice things, like:
Antonio: Have I told you I love you?
Kid: Yes
Antonio: Today?
Kid, knowing what's coming next because they fall for it at least once a day: Yes
Antonio, holding back laughter: In the last hour?
Kid: *fake sniffle* No :(
Antonio, hugging the kid: Well, I love you
Kid, bursting with laughter: Papá! You smell like wet jaguar
Antonio: No I don't! I just took a shower
Kid: Dices...
Antonio: Oye-
Also I imagine Antonio growing up to be a very sassy and playful teenager and adult, like when he becomes comfortable enough to talk freely to a person they realize he's actually a lot like his siblings and Mirabel in that aspect
THIS ARE WORDS OF TRUTH, just imagine teen Antonio trying to be cool so he starts copying his brother. 💀
I think Antonio's kid(s) would grow up to be really understanding, but maybe when their papá is not the one talking to them, they might feel like the person they are talking to is lying, and may have some kind of paranoia.
And their relationship would be so cute-
Thanks for sharing anon¡¡ Take care 🧃

"We don't talk about Pepa" AU Archive
What if Pepa was the triplet capable of looking into the future? Where everyone in the Encanto thinks she is a nightmare, even her own son Camilo, the unavailing Madrigal.
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
"We Don't Talk About Pepa" song:
V1 by @/eeelectricsoul.
Pre-chorus (7 foot frame) by anonymous.
Art by @/corasparasol.
The twins, Hermila and Hermenegilda:
About the names.
The meaning of the twins (AU and original [Bruno]).
Pepa and Camilo scene.
So I made an archive for this AU to have a better organization since it got more extended than I though, and I just think it would be nice for it to all be in the same place.
This doesn't mean it's finished, I want to write even more about it but I'm still thinking about some options.
Take it easy, see ya'll🧃

Isabela: Careful, it's carnivorous
Her kid: It can't eat me if I eat it first!
Isabela: That's... that's the spirit cariño!... I think?
She would definitely react that way 💀
Her kid: [Is in the top of a tree during a storm]
Isabela: [Yelling from the ground] You are doing great cariño! But it's a little dangerous for you to be there right now!
Her kid: I'M THE RULER OF THIS PLANET, KNOW KNEEL PEASANTS!!! MUAHAHA [Thunders make the special effects].
Maybe I'm exaggerating but this scene is as clear as water in my head.
Eat your veggies🧃

The Madrigals at parenthood | P.2
🚨(In this headcanons all characters have appropiate ages to become parents) 🚨
P1: https://astroddon.tumblr.com/post/673778396935897088/the-madrigals-at-parenthood-p1
Dolores:
She would be really dedicated and protective over her children, but she is always monitoring them so they don't have privacy.
Dolores would constantly ask "what's going on?" when she knows something is wrong and won't drop it until she finds out.
Dolores: Go clean you room! Kid: [Mimicking her] ñaña "go clean your room" Dolores: AHEM I can hear you¿¿ Kid: That's the point¿¿
She is very cautious with them, tries to be nice but ends up complaining.
Camilo:
Would act like he doesn't mind where his kid is but is actually really nervous about them.
When the kid was born, something inside him changed and is now he is overflowing dad jokes.
Baby: Pa--pá Camilo: Sí sí, papá [shifts into baby] bebé! Baby: [confused AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.]
He would be sensitive and understanding, devoted to help his kid find their own self and develop their own thoughs, the kind of dad that organizes serious debates with his 6 year old.
Antonio: (Really hard to write since, he is still a child, but the fact that animals doesn't lie and he spends lots of time with them it's an important factor)
God of being able to calmly explain everything to a child, and the kid would always understand, he is direct and exaggeratedly honest, he doesn't beat around the bush, so he may accidentaly hurt his child's feelings.
Probably takes his kid to do senderism, they camp in the outskirts of the village while they play with the animals.
Kid: Papá, am I ugly? Antonio: WHAT? Frankly, you are gorgeous sweetie, outside, and even more in the inside. Kid: But you are my papá... Antonio: Ok then, [asks a bird if his kid is ugly] Bird: [Damn, they look terrible, have they ever taken a bath?] Antonio: He says you look terrible. (Antonio I- 💀)
He would sing or tell stories for them until they fall asleep. He is very good at it.
I had so much fun doing this. May the force be with you.🧃
I WANT TO MAKE CLEAR THAT ANTONIO IS NOT MEAN, he is just missing some filters.

HOLY QUAROHWVNAKPJR H9GUHWN YOOO MAN This is incredible, the shades and colors the idea in general, the drawing is fantastic. ✨
I'm glad you liked the AU, AND OH MY YOUR DRAWING IS THE BEST THING I'VE SEEN TODAY.
(I'm sorry if I didn't see this before, I'm still getting used to check my mentions too) 🧃
Tumblr media
@astroddon’s We Don’t Talk About Pepa au is living in my head rent free, and i love the idea of the village kids seeing her as a scary La Llorona figure, so i did a quick doodle of it

Camilo: It's really hard living with my siblings, whatever I do I know Dolores would hear anything I say, I think she is listening to this conversation right now. When I got to overwhelmed because of Dolores I used to go outside and walk around the hills a bit, but now I feel that every animal observes me and will tell everything I do to Antonio. I've never had privacy in my entire life. You understand how I'm feeling right now?
Mariano: [With a bunch of flowers standing in the door] Is Dolores coming?

The Madrigals at parenthood | P.1
(Of course, the ones that aren't parents and clearly, post-movie)
Isabela:
She would be really understanding and communicative, trying not to repeat what happened to her.
She may give too much freedom, she wouldn't have any real control over her children's life.
Isabela: I've told you mamá, my kid is under control. Her kid: [Eating a carnivorous plant] Isabela: Look at them, so adventurous!
She is a lovey-dovey, except when someone talks badly about her child.
Luisa:
Patience queen, master of tolerance.
She would teach responsabilities in a wholesome way, equilibrating the breaks and the work.
Kid: Ma, I'm going to help my cousin with- Luisa: YOU SURE??? DID YOU REST ENOUGH?? Remember- Kid: Si mamá, 8 hours of sleep, 30 minutes work and 5 minutes rest, make a to-do list...
She would genuinely enjoy the long afternoons playing with her children, making some fruit juice and going for a walk.
Mirabel:
She wouldn't act like a parent, let's be honest she would be her kid's best friend.
She'd try really hard on making her kid feel special, unique and loved, so she pampers them a lot, but in a healthy way.
Kid: Mami look!! This is for you!! Mirabel: OH DIOS MÍO this is literally the most amazing, precious, gorgeous and brilliant thing I've seen in my entire life! Kid: But it's just a rock I found outside-
Mirabel would make all their child's clothes with creative designs according to their personality or likings, probably she would do the same to other young relatives.
OK BUT I LIKED THIS CONCEPT¿¿¿¿¡¡¡
I'll make Part 2 tomorrow with Dolores, Camilo and Antonio
May our paths meet again soon my darlings. 🧃

Yes! I always saw Hernando and Jorge as Bruno making these "characters" based off his sisters.
Jorge makes the spackle which is used to fix the cracks, similar to how Julieta cooks the food that heals people's wounds.
Hernando being scared of nothing is probably because when she's stressed Pepa isn't afraid to snap at people and talk back to them, even abuela Alma.
I see that as Bruno taking his sisters traits and projecting them onto these characters, he's too scared and superstitious to fix the cracks himself but Pepa would without hesitation and Julieta heals people every day, he needs to be more like them to fix Casita.
And in We don't talk about Pepa it's the same thing, she uses these characters who have some of her siblings' best traits to give herself the courage to help her family
This- this has to be canon. World, read this, words of wisdom by anon. 🧃
I love this things that make characters even more complex and real.

For some reason I think Pepa would make Hermenegilda and Hermila twins (that reason is 100% the fact that the names are similar), like her very own property sisters
Camilo: Did you fix the cracks?
Pepa: What? No I'm terrified of those things, wait until you meet the twins
Camilo: There's more people living in here?!
Pepa, covering her eyes with her hair and putting her hood on: I'm Hermenegilda and I'm scared of nothing!
Camilo: Wha-
Pepa, putting the pot on: I'm Hermila, I make the spackle
Camilo: *visible confusion*
Pepa: I used to say my real gift was "acting"
Oh my, that would make sense, mainly because she maybe misses too much her own siblings and the only face she sees everyday is hers, so I can imagine (and maybe not just in this AU but even for Bruno in the original) that she sees her siblings as strong and better than her, that's why Hermenegilda fixes the cracks and not herself. Of course, this other, personalities? are a way of coping with isolation.
Camilo: So, you never left...
Pepa: Well, uhm, yeah, I left that room, the one full of stairs... but, but look at this??!! [shows an old arepa] I'm next to the kitchen! [lowers her voice] Although Hermila hates it when they get cold.
Camilo: I- I don't understand...
Pepa: If I'm not wrong people eat arepas while they're still hot, so it's normal for them to-
Camilo: I mean, it's that I don't understand why you left us... but, didn't really leave Casita, why are you still here?
Pepa: I tell to myself that it's because of the big hills around the Encanto, but-
Camilo: [Walks to the old wooden table, noticing the painted platter and the crack in the wall].
Pepa: My gift is a curse, I'm a mourner [she tries to smile, swallowing her tears], but I love my family, I really do, the amo Camilo. [She hugs her son]
Camilo: Then why you did this to me? [He tightens the hug, holding on the woman's back].
| I changed the lines of the original movie because I imagined them that way and I've only watched the movie in Spanish so there must be a few differences due to traductions. |
OMOJFSHUSUBEJNC WRITING THIS SCENES IS SO FUN BUT SAD. I know with Bruno and Mirabel is still sad but the mother-son broken relation just makes me go 📉.
Thanks again anon for this idea of the twins, and the dialogue, you have no idea how I adore this and how many times I already read it jkjkkjkljlkjlk.
Until next time and talk a lot about Pepa! 🧃

Encanto, Warm Family (Pepa's) Headcanons ¡!
AYE This is pre- and post-movie.
When Camilo was younger Pepa and Félix pampered him like there wasn't a tomorrow, making Dolores kinda jealous.
Dolores used to dress up Camilo with her clothes and used him as a doll, she literally carried him around during her games and he wouldn't stop laughing.
When Antonio talks to animals, they are direct and honest, making difficult for him to understand humans sometimes.
Camilo hates mirrors.
Félix taught his children how to dance, Antonio and Dolores did good but Camilo joked around the whole lesson, so he still dances like Tobey Maguire's Spiderman Dancing Scene.
Years ago, when Pepa started thundering, small Camilo realized it hurted his sister because of her gift, so he learned how to calm his mamá, making her some tea. Nowadays he always makes her a tea when she is stormy.
Before Antonio was born, Dolores and Camilo made a bet, he said it would be a girl, she said it would be a boy. Of course Dolores won and Camilo washed the dishes manually for a week.
At first Antonio was scared of the noises the animals made at midnight, but then Mirabel told him to pretend he can understand them. He spent the whole night having a deep conversation with a cricket (before he got his gift).
Camilo sometimes has identity crisis, but Julieta helps him calm down with a hot arepa and a caring hug. He is very close to his tía.
Dolores and Isabela played dolls together, but the favoritism for Isa was huge, so small Dolores tried to let her down, but their friendship was stronger than expectations.
Antonio had a small chicken as a pet, one day he was playing with it but Félix stepped on it, killing it. Camilo: "what? That's not chicken, well not anymore, I can't say that's not a chicken?" Antonio: *cries inconsolably*.
Pepa was really nervous about being a mother, she spent a whole week windy because of her anxiety.
As a teenager, everytime Pepa saw Félix she couldn't help but produce several rainbows. 🌈
My favourite disfunctional family ohigbjn.
Remember that you can share any idea or headcanon.
Have a nice day 🧃

for new we don’t talk about pepa lyrics that children would sing instead of camilo’s verse: 7 foot frame, eyes that glow like flame, If you’re caught out late, you’ll soon meet your fate
Yeah, she sees your dreams and feasts on your screams
I LOVE ITT, oh my, you guys are amazing songwriters 🤝wuhweofo.
The eyes like flame is really, but really cool and descriptive, I think I would be afraid of Pepa pjohuiwun.
7 foot frame, eyes that glow like flame! If you're c a u g h t out late, you'll soon meet your FATE! Yeah she sees your d r e a m s and feast on your screams (heeeeeeeeey). WE DON'T TALK ABOUT PEPA NO NO NO.
Thanks a lot for your contribution anon, it's so dope for this AU to have its own song with an original and nice main pre-chorus. No I'm not crying.
Take care ya'll 🧃

Does Pepa have her version of Hernando and Jorge in her AU? And do they have a name chosen already? Because I personally like the names Hermenegilda and Hermila, I feel like they're on a similar level of dramatics and not-as-common-anymore as Hernando
YESYESYES, I didn't know how to name them and I really like the drama of Hermenegilda (Hernando) and Hermila (Jorge). I can imagine Hermila with not a bucket but with a cooking pot in her head. For Hermenegilda the hood is ok but she could bring her hair to the front covering her eyes.
✨I'M HERMENEGILDA AND I FEAR NOTHINGGGG✨
Wow I can clearly see Pepa doing this. Thanks for the contribution anon!! Take care <3 🧃
