Id like to say I've changed

I still have my chubby cheeks and sore hands

But I don't smile unabashedly anymore

I don't climb trees not wondering how I will get down

I don't complain when I'm sore

I don't hide my chubby cheeks

I don't hate my freckle just under my left eye

I think just as much, I wonder with a mindset I only could've gotten from my father,

I sing just as loud as I can, a trait I could only get from my sisters,

I always try everything once with a big yellow grin on my face, an ability my mother gave me,

I fail and try again to prove I can do it, something my brother taught to me,

I will always look at my teeth with a certain odium, think my cheeks are too chubby, soothe one hand with the other and never ask for help,

But I am still that kid with an unabashed smile that climbs trees not wondering how he will get back down.

Okay adding on to this au,

This is my idea of how Thomas found out gally couldn't hear.

So like Thomas does paper work, reading but mostly translating, cause like he would be the one to know the most languages and that.

And I also think that gally decided to make things like beds and furniture, instead of building (everyone thinks he is just a loner but he actually just wants to be alone cuz he can't hear them)

so one day when Thomas is reading in a random spot he thinks "gally doesn't have anyone to hang out with when working and neither do i" and then promptly goes to work in gally's workshop.

So he walks in there dumps his stuff on a table and then notices that gally still hasn't talked to him, he like goes on a ramble about how you need to notice people and gally turns around and is like Spooked??? So Thomas works around him for weeks thinking that gally just doesn't want to talk to him and is ignoring him.

Until Thomas like faces him and is like "why don't you ever talk to me, I mean you hole yourself up in here not talking to anyone, you eat and then leave the mess hall, im pretty sure you sleep in here too and you act like a scared cat when someone approaches you from behind" and then gally just like breaks and gives up and tell Thomas that he actually can't hear and so he hasn't been ignoring him but he just doesnt know he is there.

And another idea for HoH!gally and telepathic!thomas,

Gally always sticks close to Thomas because when someone talks to him and he can't hear it Thomas like "translates" it to his head.

So like imagine,

Gally and Thomas were quietly eating lunch until minho loudly drops his late onto the table, "so gally ....h......... I.. ha- ................ know?...... -hy .................. "

gally sat confused at what minho had said and just sat with a dumbfounded look "ga-" minho asked between mouthfuls. 'He asked how your newest project is going and he said that he hates it when work takes too long and doesn't get why you take so long to make a bookshelf' Thomas said in his head the small bit of insight greatly appreciated.

"It's going fine I guess" gally said twards minho not making eye contact trying to read minho's lips as he spoke. "Yea totally, I get how you like that klunk but I still could not do it ev-"

fuck, gally hadn't caught that last word. 'everyday, he said everyday' gally heard in his head, Thomas once again just explaining what someone was saying.

Just, this idea is probably not unike but I still love it

HoH!gally and telepathic!Thomas is one of my favourite ideas

Like imagine that during gally's time in the right arm his hearing got so badly funked up that he can barely hear and so he just doesn't talk to anyone, and holes himself up in a workshop in safe heaven, and Thomas starts talking to him telepathically because that's pretty much the only want gally can hear.

And everyone is confused when gally is walking with Thomas and gally just talks and Thomas gives him a look, and it's looks like gally is just talking to himself and aaaaaa this thought has just been plaging my mind.
